A/N

Hello Everyone~ :)

I have been working on this fanfic for sooo long, and finally decided to publish it, since it's also completed !

This is an AU, kinda, because we will still have EXO, but with some main differences from reality.. first of all, our Jongin is a father! Eheh  also, he is the same age as Luhan, Xiumin and Kris.

The fanfic is focused on Luhan and Kai and their evolving love for each other.. but all the boys of EXO will be main characters as well so..

At this point, I can only wish you will like it! I will always try to upload the chapters twice a week^^

Read.. and Enjoy <3

Foreword

"Be careful, both of you!"

Jongin lets out a weary 'we will' while grabbing Yeonsu's little hand, quickly walking away from his noona's apprehensive look. His little daughter waves back energetically on the other hand, "Don't worry, we will be home soon!"

The boy sends her an adoring look, squeezing the little hand in his own. "Shall we go buy some delicious ice cream, Yeonsu?"

He smiles at the sight of the kid's face enlightening at the question. Yeonsu mimics a 'yes' with the puffy face, starting to run and grabbing her brother along.

They take a bus and stop near the centre of the city, when Jongin knows there is an Ice Cream shop Yeonsu adores, adjusting her two little pigtails now and then, each time leaving cute kisses on the chubby cheeks. "Oppa," she starts, laughing embarrassedly at his continuous PDA "So many kisses!"

"So what?" he retorts, pouting "Your oppa can kiss you whenever he wants to."

"Only if you buy me ice cream first."

Jongin laughs softly, nodding all along to Yeonsu's pleasure.

They then walk toward the Ice Cream Shop and Jongin already starts preparing himself to the big mess his daughter is going to be after eating her strawberry/chocolate ice cream.

"When will you learn eating it properly, Yeonsu? Look at you," he laughs, pissed but amused while Yeonsu makes a face and pouts "You are such a mess."

"Oppa, don't be mean." she pouts more, slicking her tongue out and smiling happily when Jongin patiently cleans her over.

"Let's go for a walk, shall we?"

This is how they would usually spend their afternoons whenever Yeonsu didn't have to attend kindergarden. Jongin would bring her around for something sweet, a nice walk, some fun and, those rare times he could afford it, a little present. He had always tried his best to be a good father, as hard as it could be when his own daughter knew him to be only an older brother.

His story had been tough, one of those heartbreaking stories that would sound unlikable to happen in real life yet still happened to him, when his high-school's crush and him ended up having a baby at 16, and she had left him without a single word after giving birth, not wanting to give up on her career dreams and family's expectations. Yeonsu was his daughter, and his alone, but for how much Jongin had always wished to hear her calling him "Appa" once, he knew it would just make things harder.

They came from a poor family and Jongin constantly struggled to bring home whatever he could to have Yeonsu and his noona, his only family member left, live happily and healthily. Since his kindergarden days he had chased the dream of getting into some big company and becoming a hard-working performer with a bright future ahead, so he could have his family struggling to survive no more and he knew, the presence of a daughter in his life would make his dream impossible to come true. And for how much he hated it, hated it all, he had to resist. The image of a happy, bright future for his Yeonsu mattered more than anything else after all.

"Oppa!" Yeonsu calls him happily at one point, pulling the lower part of his shirt and pointing at something near them "Street shops, oppa, can we give a look at them?"

Jongin lingers for a second but Yeonsu doesn't give him time to react that she is already checking a stand with random jewels and bracelets on it.

"Yeonsu, don't run away from me like that." Jongin reproaches lightly, stopping at the sight of the little girl's lovingly eyes staring at a little pink bracelet.

"Oppa," she smiles "It's so pretty isn't it."

Jongin forces a smile, nodding to his little daughter and immediately putting his hands inside his pockets in a desperate attempt to find some coin to buy Yeonsu the bracelet. He heavily sighs when he realizes he has none.

"Can we buy it, oppa?" Yeonsu asks, hopeful, lifting her big eyes to look at Jongin's ones. He hesitates for a moment, opening his mouth twice but immediately closing it again and Yeonsu simply waves her little hand at that.

"It's okay," she announces, a shy smile on the cute face "It's not important, oppa. Don't worry."

Jongin feels his heart sinking, because her daughter is no nice, so mature, and he has to deal with the feeling of being the worst dad ever lived.

"I-I'm sorry, Yeonsu."

Yeonsu shakes her head slowly, still smiling though Jongin could see how she was holding back disappointment for not being able to get such a simple thing again, although they were used to it. She lays the bracelet down on the stand again and Jongin frowns.

"Excuse me."

A sweet voice breaks in and Jongin looks up at the speaking figure. He meets a pair of gentle eyes staring shyly at him, framed by probably the most gorgeous face he has ever seen in his life. The blondish stranger then opens up into an insecure, angelic smile and Jongin looses his breath.

"I'm sorry for overhearing your conversation," the boy begins and bows deeply at them both "I hope you won't find me rude for this but," he stops, biting his lip in embarrassment "Actually I just bought this bracelet for me but.. it's too small."

He takes the pink bracelet up from the stand again, his entire face of an intense red as he looks for Jongin's eyes, questioningly. "I thought that maybe I could just give it to.. her."

Yeonsu suppresses an excited scream at the words, immediately pulling Jongin's shirt to grab his attention. "Oppa, can we accept? Can we?"

Jongin eyes her for a second before returning his attention to the stranger, who is now smiling cutely while looking at Yeonsu, mesmerized, and nods slightly.

"Uhm, sure." he announces, and Yeonsu jumps around to celebrate. The blonde guy's smile turns into a laugh as he gets down to face Yeonsu's height, buttoning the bracelet up for her.

"Here." he says "It looks so much better on you."

Yeonsu turns completely red, avoiding the boy's eyes "Does oppa like pink, too?"

Jongin suppresses a laughter and pokes Yeonsu lightly "What kind of questions is that?" he reproaches "You should thank him, instead."

The little girl's face gets even more red at that.

"Ah, no it's fine, really." the boy intervenes "I just, I like pink, yes."

"You are cute," Yeonsu announces then, slicking her little tongue out and making Jongin almost choke from embarrassment "You are like an angel, right oppa?"

"Yeonsu!" Jongin explodes, covering the baby's mouth with his hand "Would you stop? You are embarrassing him." he hears the boy laughing and turns to look at him, finding himself staring at the latter's beautiful face.

"It's okay, really." he say cutely "You are so cute, baby Yeonsu."

"Thank you." the kid blushes "Angel oppa is cute too."

"Me?" the boy hesitates for a moment and then bushes "I'm just Luhan, really."

LUHAN

Jongin doesn't know why, but he immediately gets the impression he will not be able to forget this name easily.

"Then, Luhan-oppa, I will draw something for you and send it to you, okay? To thank you."

"Will you?" Luhan smiles amusedly, touching the baby's dark hair softly "I will be waiting then."

"Yes!"

Jongin can't help but lighten up into an adoring smile at the scene. His Yeonsu was the cutest little girl ever, he could swear.

She then searches for shelter inside his arms, all red on the cute cheeks, and Jongin lifts her up to let her rest her head on his shoulder.

"Are you acting shy now?"

She has already been too brave for her own standards, Jongin knows.

He turns to meet the boy's beautiful doe-eyes again and for a moment, all he could see is him and Luhan staring at each other. His throat goes dry at the eye contact and he smiles shyly to recover, pissed over his own absurd reactions.

"Thank you." he says and notices Luhan blushing a little at that.

"Don't mention it. She is such an adorable little girl."

The boy smiles and starts waving goodbye at them. "Have a nice day then."

"Goodbye." Jongin greets, a little bit too shyly, and Yeonsu joins soon after "And thank you again."

Luhan shakes his head a little, gifts Jongin with a last angelic smile before turning around and quickly walking away in the crowed street.

Jongin is still staring, all red in the face, because at one point Luhan has turned around to look at him, and their eyes have met again.

It was a reluctant last stare, Jongin was sure of it.

"Oppa, he is gone." Yeonsu suddenly announces, a little bit too amused by Jongin's poker face and staring into a messy crowd. The boy turns his attention to the child in his arms and sticks his tongue out, getting ready to head back home between Yeonsu's laughter. She also can't take her eyes away from her beautiful, new pink bracelet the whole time and Jongin smiles, glad they had met such a nice and kind guy as this Luhan was. And when Yeonsu shows Byul-noona her new bracelet happily and gets ready to draw a picture of Luhan, just as promised, to thank him, he realizes how much the beautiful stranger has changed their day.

How could he know Luhan would actually change his entire life?
