"Suho, I don’t think I can make it till the tenth practice today. I’m feeling sick.” Tao says as he sits down on the wood floor against the wall. He breathes rapidly with a hand over his chest.

“You should take some rest. You look more horrible than the usual practicing look.” Suho says. Everyone else is taking a short five-minute time out.

“Are you guys gonna go on?” Tao asks.

“Yeah, we could use a couple more takes. You can go.”

“Are you sure? Can you guys do it without me?” Tao asks worriedly.

“Yeah, we got it. I think we’ve practiced enough to be accustomed to it. We’ll do fine without you. Go home.” Suho helps Tao up and gets the door for him. “Be safe.”

“Suho, Tao isn’t in class again today. Was it serious?” A worried Kai asks.

“I don’t know, his temperature was pretty high the day before yesterday. I wanted to call him as soon as I got home yesterday but I got side-tracked. Ask Lay to call him, I think he’s free cuz I gotta get to class. Update me later, kay.” Suho says. He leaves with a small sling bag containing books across his shoulder.

“Wait, Suho. Practice is still on today right?” Kai shouts. Suho looks back and nodded.

“Hey Kai, so how’s Tao doing?” Suho asks as he takes a seat at the lunch table.

“He said he has a small fever. He hasn’t gone to the doctor yet, cuz he thinks it’s nothing big.” Kai says.

“So he’s okay? Nothing too bad? That’s good. We have practice tomorrow and I don’t want to be short-handed again. We thought we could do with just the 11 of us, but it was really bad the other day. Clearly, we need him.” Suho says.

“You never know how much someone means until he’s gone.” Lay says in a regretful tone.

“Suho, Tao’s not in again today. It's been three days. I think he got worse. I called him after class and he didn’t pick up.” Kai says. “So I’m thinking that I’ll go over his place to check on him after practice. That is, if there is a practice.” He eyes Suho cautiously. He was hoping practice would be canceled because there is no use in practicing in handicap. Everyone was all over the place yesterday.

“We should call off the practice today. I’ll go with you over to Tao’s. I’ll ask to see who else is coming with. I’m also gonna ask Luhan to come with me to buy some vitamins.” Suho says. “Oh. And Kai, wear a mask please. We don’t know what Tao has yet, and I don’t want you to catch anything from him. We can’t lose another.” Suho finalizes and leaves.

Suho, Luhan, Lay, Xiumin, Baekhyun, Kris and D.O wait for someone to get the door. The door swings open and Kai comes out.

The boys are ready to enter the house when Kai stops them. “I’m gonna have to hold you guys for a while.” He says. “Whoever hasn’t been infected by chickenpox will have to stay outside.”
