CHAPTER 7

AUTHOR's POV

Weeks had passed since Donghae started on his job. Hyukjae can say there's nothing to worry about after their little fight. They're okay now and living peacefully until one day, Donghae introduced his long time best friend. The day that he hoped didn't came.

"Hyukkie, meet my best friend, Jessica. Jessica, meet my beautiful wife, Hyukjae." Donghae said as he wrapped his arms in Hyukjae's waist.

"So it's you. Nice to meet you, Hyukjae." Jessica smiled genuinely and stretched his arms to Hyukjae.

Hyuk reached her hand and politely smiled. "Yeah it's me. Nice to meet you too, Jessica."

"." Jessica thought to herself. She hides in her pretty face the repugnance she feels right now. Knowing Hyukjae is the last thing she wanted to do. But for Donghae, she can do whatever she needs to do.

Donghae on the other hand looks happy because finally, Hyukjae met his best friend. He thought it's better to Hyukjae to meet his best friend and know her personally so that they can be friends also. And Hyukjae will not get jealous anymore, cause there's nothing to be jealous with Jessica.

They talked over the food that Hyuk prepared for their lunch. The conversation went smooth and smoother as they enjoyed chatting with each other. Well, except for Jessica. Until she opened up her 'past' with Donghae.

JESSICA's POV

"Uhmmm... Hyukjae..."

"Jessica, you can call me Hyukkie. It's okay with me. We're friends right?"

Hyukjae smiled. He just smiled and it irritates me a lot. Doesn't he noticed it? Oh. I forgot. I'm a good actress.

I gave him my precious smile. "Hyukkie..."

"See? It's better. Okay, what is it?" He seemed so excited about what I will tell him. But sorry to him, it will surely ruin his good mood.

I looked at Donghae who's eating right now and then switched my eyes to Hyukjae. "Did you know that Donghae and I had an affair when we were young?"

As I expected, Donghae choked his food and Hyukjae's utensils slipped to his hands. "Opps... So I guessed you didn't know." I gave them an apologetic smile as I glanced to my wrist watch. "Ohh. I should go now. I have something to fixed in my house. It's nice meeting you, Hyukkie." I said to him as I winked.

HYUK's POV

Silence will kill the both of us. No one dare to talk about what Jessica opened up a while ago.

I looked at Donghae who's barely avoiding my eyes. Doesn't he realized he's hurting me with his gestures?

I cleared my throat as I faced him, "Donghae..." He glanced at me from the corner of his eyes and swallowed. "Is it true?"

He didn't answered but instead, he walked towards me and held me in my shoulder. "Hyukkie..." He closed his eyes and sighed. "I'm so--"

A hard slap from me echoed in the room. "How could you?! How could you lie to me?! I thought... I thought we promised to say everything to each other? But what about this?"

"Hyuk..."

I walk out on him. Breathing the same air with him in that room will suffocate me. I didn't let him to explain himself because I can't. I had enough tonight. I'm tired. So I spend the night with other room with tears in my eyes.
