CHAPTER 4

3rd Person's POV

Donghae didn't know what to do. The last person he thought he would see on his birthday is already here in front of him.

His father.

His father that always proud of him.

His father that always praise him every time he did a great job.

His father that he used to love as his father.

And his father that...

"Son..."

He always admire despite of their misunderstandings in life.

But why he still feels that for his father?

It's because he, Lee Donghae, witnessed how grateful his father is.

How he loves his mother.

How he loves him as a son.

How he cooperates with his people.

How he manage things in his life...

And he really wanted to be like his father someday... Except for one thing.

In this world, even the greatest foundation in a house can fall down by just a blow of the wind.

And there's something his father can't cope with. And that's his reference.

His father can't accept the real him. The real Lee Donghae.

The Lee Donghae his father knows is the Lee Donghae we wanted to have.

"Dad..."

"Can I come?" Donghae widened the open of the door and Mr. Lee entered their house.

"How did you know this place?" Donghae asked his father. He tried to put some respect on it. After all, it's still his father.

"I just know. I hope you don't mind?" Pointing the sofa. Hae just shook his head so his father sat on the sofa.

While his father scanning the place, Hae keep eying on him.

He can trace the lines on Mr. Lee's forehead. His father is not getting younger anymore. So as much as possible, he wanted to fix their problem. But he doesn’t know where to begin since Mr. Lee still not approves his relationship with Hyukjae.

He cleared his throat first before asking "What brings you here?"

He looked at me and chucked as if I gave a joke. "It's your birthday. Is there a problem if I greet my own son?"

Hae didn't say anything and just stared to his father. He knows that there's another reason why his father visiting him.

Keeping himself silent is the last thing he wanted to do after what he heard from his father's mouth.

"I'm sorry, Donghae. I'm really really sorry, Son."

He can't find the best word to describe how nervous he is right now. Looking at his father, seeing him sincerely saying sorry is really impossible to happen. But now...

"When I saw how you protect uhmm.. What's his name again?" Hae didn't answer
