CHAPTER 5

HYUK'S POV

I frowned when I noticed that there's missing in my bed. "Where's Donghae?" I thought to myself. I wandered to the bathroom and do my morning rituals.

I smiled when I smelled our bath soap, "You're here." Donghae smiled and wave his right hand. He's in the bath tub and playing bubbles. I chuckled in his gestures. What a kiddo.

"Come."

"Nah. I'll cook our breakfast." Donghae pouted his lips on what I've said. He's really cute whatever he does.

"Please?" *puppy eyes*

I rolled my eyes on him. Can I resist his charm? "Ooookay." I said with a sigh.

"Dad offered me to work for him." Donghae said while he's massaging my back. I'm lying next to him in the bath tub.

"Really? Do you accept it?"

"Can I?" He looked at me like he's asking my permission.

"Of course! It's a good step to make things better and better. Since your Dad—"

"Yours, too." I smiled at him for what he said. Yes. Mr. Lee, rather, Dad wants me to call him 'Dad' too. At first it's really awkward for me but if that's what he want, I'll call him Dad.

"Since Dad approved our relationship," I continued, "and he already apologized to us, we better make some interactions with him. Especially you." I pinched his cheek that makes him giggled.

We washed our self without doing horrible things. Hehehe. Kidding, without doing you-know-what-I-mean *wink*

"Hello?" I heard Donghae answered his phone when I'm still busy searching for my shirt. What should I wear?

"Sure, Dad. We'll come... Alright... Bye."

"What was that?"

Donghae turned his face on me and smiled happily. "Daddy wants to have lunch with us. We'll go, right?"

He's happy. Donghae's really happy, I can sense that. Well who's not? You can sense it in his aura the sign of joy and excitement. I nodded and say, "Of course."

...fast forward...

"Hi, Son." Daddy hugged Donghae as he greeted his son. Dad gazed at me and smiled. "Son... Hyukjae." He said as he extended his arms, inviting me for a hug. At first, I feel hesitation strikes me but when I saw Donghae's smile, it popped out. I come near to them and reach for Dad's arms to feel his hug.

"Welcome to you." He whispered to me and I said 'thank you' to him.

We had some chitchat before a maid called us, for us to know that the lunch is ready.

"Well, Donghae, are you accepting my proposal?" Wiping his mouth as Dad told Donghae while I'm enjoying the food and listening to what they're talking. I think it's about the work that was Daddy offered to Donghae.

"Uhm. Yes, Dad. Hyukjae's okay with it so yeah, sure."

"Good then. When do you want to start?"

"You choose."

"Tomorrow?"

"Sure."

"How about you, Hyukjae?"

I paused for a while to look at Dad, he's smiling at me. "What about me, Dad?" I blinked.

"Do you want to work together with Donghae? I'll give you one."

I switched to Donghae who's sitting beside me. "Do you want me to?"

He smiled maliciously. "Yeah... I want you..." He said to me.

I know my cheek got red with that. "Yah! Don't flirt with me. We're on the middle of eating. Have mercy on the food."

Donghae and Daddy chuckled and I feel embarrassed so I continue my meal to distract myself.

"I can see me and your mother on you, kids. I remembered she always gets angry whenever I ." I know Dad's longing for Donghae's mother. It's very sad that we didn't know each other.

"I'm sorry..." I murmured.

"Oh.. No.. It's not your fault. Really... On the first place, I'm the one who should apologize for being cruel, for accusing you of the cause of my wife's death. If I can take back time..."

"Dad... the important is what we have today, what we have right now. We don't need to live in the shadow of our past." I said to him.

Donghae looked at me and held my hand. "Hyukjae's right, Dad. I know Mom's happy where she is. And she would be really happy now we're all okay."

Dad just nodded and smiled, seeing happiness in his face.

We ate our lunch with a smile on our face. We discussed so many things over the food like if I want to do work but I just said that I want to be simply housewife. I want to take good care of Donghae while he's working for us. Dad respected my decision and Donghae promised to behave when he's on job.

Donghae and I stayed on their house in a few more hours since Dad wants to have more bonding with us before Donghae starts on his work.

"Thanks for the chill, Dad." Donghae said and I bowed to Dad.

"I should be the one who's saying that." Dad grinned. "Take care. See you on work, Son."

"Yes, Dad. Bye." They hugged and tapped each other's shoulder.

"Bye, Hyukkie." Dad hugged me too and I hugged him back.

"Bye, Dad. See you soon." And we finally take our last goodbye to Dad that day.

"Let's date?" Donghae asked me while we're on our way home.

"Eh?"

"You don't like the idea?"

"Uhmm. I like it though. I miss dating
