Back at the Student Center, after their time hiking, which took a good three hours, an hour and a half up and an hour and a half back down, Min didn't hesitate to collapse back onto the couch near the fire place. The warmth from the fire crackling which was slowly making her eyes become heavy, made her realize just how exhausted she actually was.   "You did good on your first trip," She heard Jiyong say as he appeared from beside her, making her straighten up.   She looked up at him with her usual calm expression. "Yeah. I guess you can say I'm pretty used to it."   "Because of your time as a runner?" She simply nodded in reply and looked down at her fingers. Jiyong leaned his elbows against the back of the red  fabric couch. "Want to talk about it?"   Min's lips formed a line as she pressed them together, her dark orbs still showing apprehension. "Not just yet," She then looked at him, her expression becoming gentle. "But thank you for asking."   Jiyong nodded in understanding. He knew what it was like. "We won't force you here, Min. It's all on your own time."   "I understand."
From a short distance on the other side of the cabin, the other five hitchhiker members had gathered around the seats they had been sitting at the day before, near the back by the spiral staircase, resting after a long morning of hiking.   "For someone new," Henry began as he looked over to where Min was sitting by herself near the fireplace. "I wouldn't have pegged her to be so good at hiking. I wonder what she's in for."   "She's a runner," Amber sighed, taking off her jacket and placing it on the side table by where she sat across from him.   He looked back at her and raised a brow. "That's it?"   "Nah," Amber shook her head. "I can tell there's something more to her than that. She's just not budging right now. In time she will, though."   "How mysterious."   "Maybe she's a loony," Suzy added with a smirk.   Amber scoffed. "You would know, wouldn't you, princess?"   Her dark eyes narrowed and she glared in Amber's direction. "Shove it."   "So Lay," Henry directed his latest question to her hiking partner. "Did you get to talk to her about anything?"   "Huh? What?" To be honest, Lay hadn't even been paying attention. He shut off as soon as Min was mentioned and his focus immediately turned to her, his eyes zeroing on the girl who now rested her head back against the couch, her eyes closed and her breathing steady. He recalled their moment earlier. It was as if time stopped for them the moment he held her when she tripped in the hike up the pass. He had held her so possessively. The way she smiled at him, drove his heart to run wild, and he couldn't explain it. It was at that moment he realized that he was glad he had stayed quietly behind to make sure she got by okay. He then recalled her crying at the top of the mountain, a sight that was both hauntingly beautiful and heartbreaking.   "Look at him," Suzy scoffed. "He already has it bad. Crushing already, Lay?"   He rolled his eyes and immediately snapped at the girl. "Why don't you back off, twig?"   Suzy's eyes narrowed, her body burning up in rage. "Why don't you make me, murderer?"   "Suzy!" Amber scolded harshly, unbelieving of her words.   "Don't worry about me, Amber," Lay's eyes were piercing and though he was speaking to Amber at the moment, his eyes were blazing through Suzy's. "I don't take what she says to heart. In fact, I don't think anyone cares to hear what she has to say. I mean isn't that why you're here, because no one cares?" He saw the way Suzy stayed quiet, with her dark eyes wide and filled with hatred, but satisfaction clicked and he felt victorious for shutting her up. Taking one last look over at Min, Lay decided it was better to get going and get something to eat. He looked back over at the rest of his groupmates and stood up. "I'm going now."   While Suzy was still quiet, Henry and Amber took that time to start off as well.   Suzy huffed as she watched them, puffing her cheeks up in dissatisfaction and turning to the quiet boy who had been minding his own business by reading. "Sehun, did you hear what he-"   "You brought that upon yourself, Suzy," His voice was as cold as ice as he interrupted her whining, something he always found painfully aggravating. "Don't open a can of worms if you can't handle what's going to come out."   Suzy watched as Sehun closed his book and stood up to leave her alone. She watched as he started out the main door back into the lawn instead of going eat like everyone else. Indeed he was different. She took a breath in order to calm the growing anger and immediately looked to the side to watch the source of all her frustration. The new girl was now asleep on the couch as Suzy felt a jolt of anger just looking at her. She knew having another girl in the group would only make things difficult for her, she just didn't think it would be this bad, especially because of someone so plain.   - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -    Min traced her fingers lightly across the ivory keys. Looking over her shoulder, she made sure no one was in sight before she sat down at the large grand piano and allowed her fingers to once again come into contact with it. She couldn't help the way her lips curled up into a smile from the familiar sound of the finely tuned instrument.   Little did she know, that turning the corner of the hall, someone had heard the sound and followed it all the way to where she was. He slowed down his movements, peaking behind the doorway with strands of his jet black hair falling over his eyes. Finding out after the first day of meeting her, which was already several weeks before, Min had an affinity for music. Since accidentally hearing her, along with Lay, Sehun made sure to frequent the halls to hear her play again. He had only had the pleasure of catching her one other time before now. But something about the way she played, though he would never admit it, had tugged at his heartstrings.    Since meeting her, the two had yet to speak, though he noted that she had some how gotten closer to Lay, which seemed to bother him. It wasn't jealousy. It was something more like annoyance. It annoyed him how he always seemed to come second to Lay. But he wouldn't miss his chance. Especially since something ab
