Karaoke. Was he really being serious? What the hell was he planning? Did he even know what he was saying?

The chopsticks dropped out of my unmoving hand in disbelief. "Jongdae, you, of all people, should know that I don't sing!" I hissed at him before picking them back up, and grabbing a few strands of ramen with them.

Chen could only manage to fail to surpress a laugh. I felt my insides burn with irritation. "Of course I know you don't sing," he replied in amusement, "but that's the thing with karaoke. It's meant to be fun, no matter how you sing." he remarked before taking another sip of his drink.

I clenched my fists, swallowing the noodles. "Fun?" I repeated, shoving the chopsticks in the noodles, and crossed my arms sharply. "If I can recall, your definition of 'fun' is making people do absolutely ridiculous things, and then recording it to blackmail them in the future! So, no. I'm not going to karaoke, no matter how much you want me to."

Chen put his drink down, rolling his eyes. "Okay, that may have happened a few times, but I assure you that I will do no such thing with this one. I'm not going to ruin our holiday out of selfishness."

I narrowed my eyes in suspicion. "After everything we've been through, you still want to torture me like this?" I couldn't believe it. I've already had my fair share of embarrassment because of these guys, and knowing Chen, he wouldn't be able to keep a secret like this, even if his life depended on it. But, then again, he's not a liar. He's one with secrets, but he doesn't lie.

"I wouldn't call it torture, as such...more like..." he looked up, motioning with his hand conjoined to his wrist in a circular movement. "Complete and utter humiliation in front of just me." he nodded and smiled proudly.

Was he being serious? Why would someone have the audacity to embarrass someone else for fun? This was getting too far. "Look, Jongdae, if this is your way of a fun night out, then forget it."

Chen sighed before looking deeply into my eyes with his honey-gold ones. Though he didn't have any extra mind-controlling powers like other vampires, I knew that this wasn't going to end the way I wanted to.

"Alright, alright, which song do you want to choose?"

"You're the one singing, so you choose."

"Come on! We've been at this for five minutes already."

I groaned and grabbed the iPad from his hands. "Geez, fine," I huffed, rolling my eyes.

After spending almost 20 minutes arguing over the karaoke issue in the restaurant, things had began to attract attention. I, for one, never wanted to have something that looked like an arguing married couple. I then ate the rest of the ramen as fast as I could, so we could pay and get out. Once we did, I walked out of the restaurant as fast as I could, hopefully drawing attention away from myself and Chen. Feeling slightly aggravated at the suggestion and ultimate argument about karaoke, I decided not to be a pain in the for him, and went along the plan. After all, this might be the only time I would willingly go to do something embarrassing with him.

I scrolled down the long, almost endless, list of artists that the iPad had, and stopped at one of my favourites. I felt a stupid grin curl on my lips before I tapped on the screen at the name.

"Hey, are you done yet?" Chen's voice beckoned, "Why are you smiling like an idiot? It looks kinda creepy."

Another list came up, listing all the songs available to sing to of the singer. Ignoring Chen's snide comment, I hastily scrolled down that list and tapped on the song. The sirens at the beginning of the song began to play, before the synthesised bass lines came into audio. Upon hearing this, Chen gave me a look that said "of course you would". Hey, he did drag me to do something I never wanted to. Might as well do something I actually like.

"What? You sang this to me before when I went to China for the first time," I said, shrugging my shoulders at him, "It's starting!" I urged and pointed to the TV screen, where the music video to the song was playing. Chen only shook his head, rolling his eyes, before turning to glance at the screen briefly. He turned his gaze towards me, held up the microphone to his lips and began to sing.

"You got me under control
내 맘은 네 맘대로
멋대로 갖고 논 Feeling feeling
너에겐 사랑은 game 나에게 사랑은 pain
내 눈을 바라봐 feel me feel me now,"

His gaze felt like it would pierce right through me. It was as if he was trying to seduce me with it. I couldn't help but feel a slight blush tingle on my face. I guess that was the result from choosing such a song.

"주위엔 없잖아 나보다 나은
나 만큼 남자다운
You better catch me now
너만 바라보는데 미칠 것만 같은데
We gotta get get down,"

It was hard for me to not get hyped up when this song was playing through the speakers. Before I knew it, I also began to sing along to the lyrics as well. Chen had the most beautiful singing voice I've heard. Though his voice didn't sound like Se7en's, it was just as amazing, and I wouldn't be surprised if he became a KPOP star.

"If you and me 하나가 될 수 있다면
상상만으로도 girl 가슴이 벅찬걸
If you can be my girl 이 세상을 다 줄께
Girl girl girl girl girl I do adore,"

It was especially during this part I felt Chen's voice melt my hardened heart. I began to do a few arm and hand movements in time with the music and lyrics. But it was the next part that actually made me get up and start dancing to the choreography. Chen even made his way over to me and danced with me, while singing, so now we looked like the male and female dancers in the clip.

"You gotta know I’m fallin in love
난 너라는 세상에 빠져있어
you gotta know 한 순간도 너 없인 살수 없어
cuz I know we better together,"

I couldn't help but feel a huge smile form on my face as we danced and sang (though, I didn't sing with a microphone because I'm sure my singing would sound horrific).

The song eventually proceeded to my favourite part: the bridge. It had the catchiest rhythm, and the best part of the choreography in the song.

"Hey you know we better together
Gotta gotta get it together

We we we gotta make it forever

Hey you know we better together
Gotta gotta get it together
You know we better together..."

That part reminded me of the first time he sang to me when I went to China to see them for the first time. I remember telling him that Se7en was one of my favourite singers, and that he looked like him. I guess he never forgot, which made me happy, in a way.

"너만을 기다리면서 또 하루가 저물어 오늘도 yeah~
너도 내 맘과 같다면 날 받아줘 you gotta know baby,"

Because it was the slower, more melodic section of the song, while he was singing, Chen gave me a gaze that could only be seen if he was absolutely focused on something. We stopped dancing, and he gently took my hand, entwining our fingers together. I didn't know why, but his gaze seemed to draw me in. My eyes couldn't leave his honey-gold ones. It was as if I was placed under some spell that can only be broken by him. But when the section ended to go back to the chorus, Chen gracefully let go of my hand before going back to dancing the choreography with me.

The song finished after another chorus, and both Chen and I ended the dance with the final pose that the dancers were in. Okay, so I guess this karaoke session wasn't as bad as I thought, but it was just the first song.

"See?" he breathed, slightly panting from dancing and singing at the same time, "Wasn't so bad, was it?"

I sighed, "No, I guess not."

Wheeeeeee~ guess who's back?? Yup, I'm back from my incredibly long hiatus, and this chapter is the beginning of my comeback! I hope you guys liked the Chen fluff bc it took me a few days to write =A= Because I'm on a break for uni now, I'll be aiming to write around 2 or 3 chapters a week! I still have work, though. Gotta save up heaps for my exchange to Japan in a couple of years OTL

Really though, it makes me so happy that some of you guys actually re-read my previous stories. I thought they were terrible tbh ;A; well, thank you so much for sticking with me, and your endless patience! I will be writing some more this week, I promise!
