Once again, Seunghyun couldn’t help but smile from how shocked Bom was. She stood frozen, gazing at the phenomena inside the kitchen. Dara and Jiyoung were cooking together in such harmony, it was as if they’ve been doing it for years instead of nine months.

Their civil behavior continued from the grocery store and into the kitchen, as they discussed exactly how they were going to make tonight’s italian pasta. They finished each other’s sentences, and sometimes they didn’t even have to speak to understand what the other one wanted. As Jiyong began unwrapping packages and laying out the ingredients, Dara had taken out all utensils and the radio.

Then began their confectionary tango. They would be dancing around each other, never touching but flowing, knowing when to move and where. Dara would chop and gather, Jiyong would stir and sautee, and after a couple minutes on cue, they would move and switch places.

Seunghyun could never forget the first time he watched them. He seriously reconsidered his mental state because Dara and Jiyong could never be so perfectly compatible. However, through the months, the kitchen had been their sanctuary and Seunghyun couldn’t complain about the new development. It was too good to be true.

Seunghyun felt Bom’s hand on his shoulder signaling him to watch the two teenagers, but he knew what was coming.  It was at that moment, Jiyong walked over to Dara stopping just inches away from the brunette. Seunghyun cringed as Bom’s nails dug into his skin as she watched the scene unfold right in front of her.

Dara calmly turned away from the stove and carefully lifted the ladle towards Jiyong’s mouth. As Jiyong leaned over and sipped, the brunette calmly waited for Jiyong’s response. The latter’s lips pursed thoughtfully for a few moments until he finally looked down to large brown eyes “More oregeno, and let it simmer for a few more minutes.”

Seunghyun could practically feel Bom vibrate from Dara and Ji's close proximity, and he couldn’t help but feel a little smug by the developing interactions he so proudly believed was his doing. Any day now, they would learn to appreciate each other and finally become friends. But just then, Dara lifted her other hand and wiped some of the sauce that got on Jiyong’s chin and casually popped it in . “Oregeno and a pinch of salt. “ She simply said.

Well that was...more than friendly...

“Holy balls…” Clearly that did not come out of Seunghyun’s mouth. He turned wide-eyed at his girlfriend who still stood gaping at her sister. It takes one hell of a move to get Bom to curse, and Dara did just that.

Seunghyun was about to comment about it until he was being hauled into the hallway in privacy.

“Please, please tell me that my sister is still as innocent as she was before. Because I am not afraid to kick Jiyong’s balls so far up his stomach he will never be touching girls again.” Bom huffed, extremely erratic from Dara’s little show back there.

“I can assure you baby, Dara still hates Jiyong, maybe more even… I think.” Seunghyun murmured doubting himself. “But I have never seen that happen before.”

“Oh my god, oh my god. Jiyong is subconsciously influencing her! She’s a freakin’ baby vixen and she doesn’t even know it!”

“But did you see Ji? He looked, almost unaffected right? He didn’t even try anything back… right?!” Bom’s hysterics had definitely flowed through Seunghyun.

Both of them leaned a little out of the hallways so only their heads could be seen. As they looked back out to the kitchen, Dara and Jiyong were back at their own stations, continuing to cook. As if, their actions were very normal on a daily basis. Jiyong looked up eyeing them two and told them dinner would be done in a minute.

Both older siblings had agreed to not say a word to their own kin until after the dinner. Something had definitely developed between the two without Seunghyun and Bom’s notice and there would be some serious interrogations.

However, as soon as the last plate dropped in the sink, Jiyong and Dara were at each other’s throats again, confusing Bom and Seunghyun even more. Maybe, the younger sibling’s intimate actions really are just from that kitchen treaty. Maybe Jiyong always comfortably snuggles himself right behind Dara and maybe Dara just casually tastes things off Jiyong’s chin…. Right?

“Don’t piss on my parade Kwon, it’s your turn to do the dishes!” Dara pushed Jiyong towards the sink.

“No scrotum badger, I did them last week!” Jiyong easily rounded Dara closer to the sink.

“Don’t touch me you douche waffle! I’ll get infected!” Dara tried to get out of his grip but it was too strong,

Seunghyun and Bom droned out the two immature teenagers out, “Is it me,” Bom said, “Or have their… vocabulary…expanded.”

“Believe you me, sometimes I seriously think they have secret meetings to invent names just for each other,” Seunghyun kissed Bom lightly on the forehead, “Jiyong and I will wash the dishes, I know you want to spend time with Dara.

Bom smiled lovingly at him, “Love you.”

He turned away, and his smile vanished. Dara and Jiyong’s relationship was like a bipolar disorder. It was so hot and cold it never made sense. Because as he walked closer to the two he noticed that their roughhousing wasn’t actual roughousing at all. Dara who was supposedly “avoiding him” had grabbed onto his shirt, pulling him towards her, whereas Jiyong snugly had his arm around her waist. But their expressions were the contradiction, as they stared hatefully at each other.

What the hell is up with these two?
