You still remember the first time you met him.

“Excuse me?” you tapped the young male’s shoulder as he looked around the place. He was wearing very dark and classical clothes with an old hat. The beautiful male turned his head towards you, while still sitting at his table, with a questioned look on his face, “One of your notes was blown away by the wind.”

“Oh,” he looked at his folder that was on his table and then back at you, “Thank you so much.”

 You handed him his note and saw that it was a written piece of your favorite author, “Jane Austen..” you whispered in surprise, which he heard right away.

“Yes, I love her style of writing,” he commented and looked at you with interested eyes.

“That makes us two then,” you gave him a huge smile which he mirrored right away.

“I’m Youngjae by the way, Yoo Youngjae,” he held his hand out which you shook right away.  

You still remember your first kiss with him.

“Did you have fun tonight?” Youngjae asked you as the two of you were leaving the Opera House you just spend two and a half hours inside.

“I have never thought in my life that I would say this but… I actually enjoyed it,” you shook your head in disbelief.

“I told you that you wouldn’t regret it!” he said and held your arm which stopped in your track.

“Alright… you were right,” you rolled your eyes before the two of you started laughing.

Youngjae became quiet for a second and just looked at your eyes with a thankful and caring expression.

“Thank you for doing this for me…” he began, “Girls usually refuse to me to any kind of event like this.”

“It’s okay, really.”

Just as you said that, he captured your face gently with his hands and searched for your eyes. Your once regular heartbeat, increased its speed and you could feel all kind of butterflies explode inside your stomach.

Youngjae brought his face closer to yours but didn’t go any longer than one inch from you. Receiving the signal, you closed the space between you and lost yourself in a passionate kiss.

You even remember the day you found out about his accident.

Just as you picked your phone up, an older male called your name. You could hear in his voice that it was something serious and you didn’t like it, especially because of the fact that he called from Youngjae’s phone.

“Yes?” you said with a shaky voice.

“I’m sorry to disturb you miss, but you were the recent called person in this contact list,” he began and you could already sense the worst, “The male whose phone I’m holding onto right now, has been in a very harsh car accident…”

Suddenly, everything around you went black. You couldn’t hear the man’s voice, you couldn’t see anything in front of you, and you couldn’t even feel your tears that were now running down your cheeks, slowly leaving track on your once dry cheeks.

“…the ambulance took him to the hospital, so if you can, you should go and see if everything is alright because… I’m sorry to tell you this but the situation doesn’t seem to be an easy one.”

After the man told you which hospital they took Youngjae too, you grabbed your car keys and drove off right away with your pajamas still on. When you arrive there, you immediately run up to the reception to ask after Youngjae’s room but before you could even ask them anything you heard a familiar woman’s cry from down the hall.

You looked to your right and saw Youngjae’s parents in front of a room. Without a second thought, you ran up to them just to be greeted by the saddest motherly eyes you have ever seen in your life. A doctor came out of Youngjae’s room while looking down at the floor.

“I’m sorry…” he whispered and walked away.

Your Youngjae was gone.
