“Do you even know how to wash a plate?” You had been arguing with Luhan after breakfast. He wanted to help you, but knowing him, he didn’t know how to do simple house chores.

“Yah, that’s common sense. Of course I know how,” he replied with a smug look on his face and grabbed the sponge from your hand. You sighed in defeat and removed your apron. You put it on him without saying a word and tied it behind.

Luhan froze on the spot. You were so close to him and it was as if like you were hugging him. He, himself didn’t even know why and how you could make him feel that way. He just wanted to drop the plate and sponge and pull you into a hug, but of course he didn’t.

You left him at the sink and took a bath.

After the both of you have finished, you went to the hospital where your parents already were. The moment you stepped into the hospital, your face stiffened and your bright and happy eyes turned into a sad one.

Luhan was just walking beside you and noticed the changes in you. He wanted to hold your hand, but something inside him stopped him from doing so. You went inside the room and saw your sister smiling at your mom.

You smiled at the sight of her laughing. “Unni!” she called you with a cheerful voice and you immediately went to her side.

She averted her gaze from you to Luhan and gave you a questioning look. “Ah… Chae Rin-ah, this is Luhan my uhm… hu… husband…”

“Really?”

“Yes…”

“Mom! Dad! Unni’s husband is so handsome!” She started giggling like a fan girl and Luhan laughed along with all of you at your sister’s sudden outburst.

She was still smiling while Luhan was talking to her. He wasn’t great with kids. He was bad at handling kids - really bad, but Chae Rin was an exception. That little girl’s bubbliness could lift up anyone’s mood. *No wonder your sister loves you so much that she’s willing to do anything just for you.*

Luhan was busy playing with your sister when you unknowingly fell asleep beside her. You were sitting on the chair and your head was on the bed while holding your sister’s hand.

Chae Rin shushed Luhan and pointed at you. They were both giggling at you. “Unni falls asleep easily.”

“I can see that.” They laughed again and you stirred but you were still sleeping.

“Oppa, do you really love unni?” She asked Luhan with her big brown eyes. She was too innocent and inquisitive.

Luhan was caught off guard with the sudden question, but she was just another child who was curious. “O-of course I love her,” he said and the kid smiled at him. *Why do I feel weird saying those words?*

“Unni loves me a lot, oppa. She’s really kind. She almost stopped studying just for me. She wanted her school fees to be used as a payment for the hospital bills, but luckily she got into Daesan. Oppa can you take care of my unni?”

He smiled at the little angel in front of him – the little angel that looked exactly like you. It was as if he was talking to the young Sunmi. “You don’t have to ask me to do that because I promised your parents to take care of her and she’s someone worth taking care of.”
