The Misfits: Lost King“Are you serious?” Sehun couldn't hold those words back and one of the Elves turned his attention to him. With his nearly ghostly eyes, he seemed to look right into Sehun's soul, who did not flinch though. “We are serious.” Those words were cold, really cold, so cold as if he would kill someone at any minute. “What happened?” Luhan pointed at two chairs but the Elves refused to sit down.
One of them brushed his long hair to the one side and revealed a small fairy. She, or he, was just as tall as a palm of a hand. She looked shy, very shy and nervously she looked at the tall Elf. “It's okay. Go on.” The fragile butterfly wings on her back looked so surreal and because of that Luhan wasn't even sure if they really existed or not. “What will she do?” Kai had crossed his arms and his expression was dark.
A bright light appeared in the small fairy's hand, but it quickly lost it brightness and left back a golden shimmer, which turned into bubble. Pictures appeared in the bubble. The falcon could be seen with the golden shimmer and how it killed some kind of rabbit. “He.. killed a rabbit?” As much as Luhan tried not to let it sound through how ridiculous all that was for him, he failed terribly at it.
“That was not just a rabbit. It was the familiar of the Duke of the North. He is furious right now and demands the death of your falcon.” This time Kai broke out in laughter but he quickly covered his mouth. The Elf's expression darkened but Kai was not the least embarrassed. “Sorry but this sounds really... ridiculous. Isn't normal for a falcon to kill a rabbit? I mean, it is normal since it is a carnivore.”
The expression of the Elf face changed again and Luhan had the strong feeling that he secretly looked down on them. “It was quite clear that you wouldn't understand this. The rabbit belongs to the Duke of the North, one of the most influential and political powerful Elves' in Annwyn. Our Queen is not font of war, nor does she want anything like that, but if you don't clear up the situation and hand over the falcon things might escalate.”
Because of the way the Elf talked, Luhan knew that the situation was very serious but things couldn't be solved that fast. “Can you give us a moment on our own?” The Elves nodded respectfully and they retreated silently.
“Okay, who else thinks that this is just plainly ridiculous?” Luhan muttered without any laughter in his voice. “It is but it seems like a serious matter for them.”
Sehun shrugged and Luhan sat down with a sigh. “We don't know anything about them. About their customs and morals. It would be easier if we would have a representative over there, an ambassador if you want it like that.” Again he stood in front of the difficult decision he hasn't wanted to make until now. He knew someone who would be perfect but he hasn't asked him until now. To be honest, Luhan didn't want him to leave because Luhan needed him but this situation was urgent. The question was if he himself would say yes.
