It was too late at night for you to promise anyone anything. The day had gone so slowly, managing and constantly monitoring Eli's schedule was not as great as all your fellow workmates said it would be. But as Myung gave you his best puppy face and aegyo, you couldn't say no to him,

"Please ____-ah!" Myung begged, reaching for you wrist as the two of you sat across from each other in your messy office space, "You're so great at organising things! I mean, if you weren't, I wouldn't have asked you"

Taking a deep sigh, you decided on your answer,

"Fine"

With that one word, Myung had been set off; completely ecstatic that you would be in charge of all aspects of his annual birthday bash.

"Yah!" He shouted happily, unashamed since the building was empty at this time of night, "I love you ____-ah!! You're the best"

You couldn't help but laugh at his celebratory dance, even with the last of your energy,

"I try" You replied sarcastically, rising ftom your chair, "Alright, I'm calling it a night"

With joy in every step, Myung followed you out your office, even closing the light and door for you.

"So I was thinking of maybe a purple theme" He began to formulate ideas, which would continue throughout the entire drive home to your place.

A flood of insecurity came over you as you paced back and forth in the doorway of your studio house, the click of your heels on the tiles in unicy with the ticking of the clock. Even without your routine hours of sleep, you were up and ready- never to be caught late.

Stacks of boxes filled with decorations and all things blue, purple and silver; waiting to be picked up and delivered by one Eli Kim himself, were sprawled around your lounge room.

"Good morning Eli" You had reached his voice mail for the 20th time as you left the 20th message that morning, "I'm not sure if the last few days working with me has taught you anything but you are late and-"

'DING DONG'

You hit end call at the sound of the door bell, taking a few breaths, calming yourself down just so it wouldn't seem like you were in fact waiting for the last hour- despite already leaving the evidence in Eli's voice mail.

Before you could open the door, Eli had let himself in, a soft rush of early morning wind and sun following behind him as he rubbed his shoes on the doormat,

"Sorry I'm late-"

"Why are you-"

"You go first" You suggested as you began to pick up the boxes for the party that would happen later that night

"Oh okay" Eli agreed before beginning his tale, "Well I was caught up at the office till probably 2am last night"

Catching the box you once held before it dropped with his sudden tale, you placed the box back onto the top of the stack,

"No you weren't" You raised an eyebrow at him, causing Eli to chuckle,

"What do you mean?" Eli calmed himself down, "Yes I was. Rehearsing"

"Well isn't that a surprise" You almost burst out laughing before stopping yourself, "I was there too, except I didn't see you. That's why I'm in disbelief"

Swinging the car keys to his Land Rover, Eli gave you a grin that could've caused you to drop right there and then,

"You should know by now that I'm full of surprises" He winked before stepping into the small hallway where you stood, forcing his body against yours as he tried to get through to the boxes,

A shiver ran up not only through your spine but also down every blood stream in your body,

"I hope its big enough" You called out in the spur of the moment, not realising how inappropriate it sounded,

About to enter the lounge room but halting as you called out to him, Eli tilted his head in confusion with his signature grin on his face,

"What did you say?" His smile indicated the way he had heard it, 

"Your car" You cleared up the confusion, though your face becoming hot and flustered, "I hope it can take all the boxes in one go... I wouldn't want to waste time going back and forth"

"But it's time spent with me?" Eli gave an attempt at flirting, knowing that it would drive you crazy,

"And that's especially why"

"Thank you so much you guys!"

You gave a warm smile to all the members of UKISS as they finished up helping with the set up of the party since both you and Eli realised the two of you weren't going to get everything done on time. And who better to ask for help, right?

The hall for the party was almost completely decorated and ready with only a few hours to go. Standing on the makeshift ladder to hang the last letter of the 'Happy Birthday', the ladder began to wobble causing you to squeal,

"Yahhh!" 

But the touch of someone grabbing hold of you legs straight kept you from falling all the way down,

"You could've just asked me" Kevin exclaimed warmly as he stepped aside for you to get off the unstable ladder,

"I'm sorry" You replied as you bowed then handed the decoration to Kevin who put it up with ease.

"No worries" Kevin touched your shoulder, "Anything for _____-noona!"

The rest of U KISS burst out into 'ooooohs' with such a remark, the attention falling onto the both of you,

"Oh come on" You teased, "You guys know we're just friends"

Kevin agreed then carried on with cleaning whilst Eli appeared a little too quiet,

"That's right!" AJ seemed to be making another suggestion, "It's because Noona is with Myung! Why else would she organise his party?"

The boys hollered once again, this time too with Kevin included causing you to hide your face with your palms,

"You boys!" You rolled your eyes as you mustered the courage to face him, "Myung is also my friend but not my boyfriend"

"Noona sure has a lot of friends that are guys" Dongho teased you, with U KISS nodding in agreeance, "But who's your favourite?"

Caught by surprise at the question, you made sure that you thought long enough on the answer before the name came out of your mouth,

"My favourite is.... Eli"
