" hey ... " Sehun spoke as he held Luhan's hand..

With his back facing Sehun.

" hey.." Sehun called again.

" i am fine,," Luhan sniffed..

Sehun looked away before he pulled Luhan in for a hug.

" you are not." Sehun replied.

Luhan cried as his tears came streaming down...

Sehun Luhan's hair as he comforted Luhan. 

" I feel so useles... There i see my best friend crying and suffering yet here i am , not able to help a thing.." Luhan cried.

" Kai is my best friend.. yet i. .. .." Luhan sobbed as his tears stained Sehun's shirt.

" hey.. hey.. It's fine..  i am sure Kai will talk to you when the time is right.." Sehun spoke.

Luhan remained silent for a few minutes, as Sehun continued Luhan's hair.

After about 5 minutes.

" thank you.." Luhan sniffed as he wiped his tears.

Sehun smiled.

" haha. look at you . your eyes are red from all the crying." Sehun spoke as he gently wiped off the tears for Luhan .

Luhan chuckled.

Sehun cupped Luhan's face. 

" silly.. " Sehun smiled as he gave Luhan a peck on the forehead.

Luhan smiled.

" i am going to find Kai later at his workplace. I need to talk it out with him " Luhan said.

Sehun nodded.

" will you be fine here.. alone.." Luhan asked.

Sehun nodded.

Luhan smiled as he gave Sehun a peck on the cheeks as he dashed to the kitchen to cook up another omelette rice for Kai.

Sehun watched the smaller build guy's back as Luhan hurriedly prepared the rice once again..

Silently , Sehun wished he could do something for Luhan , really..

 

( After about an hour and a half ) 

" Sehun ah i will be leaving.. you want to come along? or would you like to stay here ? " Luhan asked.

Sehun smiled.

" i am fine here. you go ahead first. i will see you at home ." Sehun replied.

" really? " Luhan asked.

Sehun nodded as he sat down on the chair.

" alright then we will go grab some food for lunch alright." Luhan smiled.

Sehun nodded.

As the door closed , Sehun stood up and started to pace around thinking how he can make Luhan happier.

" cake?" he thought.

" hmm.., that will be too mainstream.. how about balloons? " he thought.

Sehun shook his head, 

Then.. Sehun suddenly remembered the Peter Pan shirt they both had..

He smiled as he raced to the room.

 

( infront of the hospital Kai works in ) 

Luhan gulped as he looked up..

" so Kai.. wanna go for lunch? i heard they are serving your favorite hamburger steak today!" one of his work mate, DO  spoke.

Kai chuckled.

" yea man lets go grab some food , i am starving." the other friend, Xiumin said.

" Kai.?" a voice called.

The three guys turned.

" oh.." one of them smiled.

Kai looked ahead.

" luhan!" the other guy called out.

" hey.. haha , what brings you here?" Xiumin asked as he placed an arm around Luhan.

Luhan smiled as he hugged Xiumin.

DO saw the expression Kai had.

DO lightly nudged Kai..

Kai gave a faint smile.

" i'm not hungry, you guys go ahead. " Kai said as he walked away.

Luhan turned to look at him.

" something happened , didnt it?" Xiumin asked.

Luhan just looked down.

" hey. you okay?" DO asked.

Luhan didnt reply.

" hyung.. " Do spoke.

There were muffled sniffs as Luhan looked up and gave a faint smile.

" are you.." before Xiumin could continue , DO nudged him.

" i will go after him ." Luhan said as he walked to the direction Kai headed.

Both DO and Xiumin nodded.

" whats up man" Xiumin asked.

" ( shrugs shoulders ) i would love to know . It looks kinda serious " DO replied.

Xiumin nodded.

 

As the door knob turned , Kai plucked his earpiece into his ears ..

Luhan entered . His eyes watery.

" Kai.." Luhan uttered.

Not even looking at him, Kai looked at his book.

" Kai.." Luhan called again.

Still, no response.

A tear rolled down Luhan's cheek as he looked at Kai..

" i know you are listening.. I just want to say i am sorry.. i know i couldn't be there when you needed me most.. i couldnt be there for you as you were for me.. sorry.. but. ( looks away ) I really love you , Kai. " Luhan spoke.

Kai paused what he was doing for awhile when that word came out of Luhan's mouth.

" i ... i really love you alot as my friend, my doctor and most of all a brother..." Luhan continued.

Kai looked down.

" you were my best friend Kai.. but seeing you like this, really is painful. i wish i can do something for you. i thought of making your favourite omelette rice. " Luhan said.

" Kai.." Luhan called.

Kai closed the book as he turned to look at Luhan.

" once you're done, the door's that way." Kai spoke in a cold tone.

Luhan felt like his heart was just pierced so deeply.

Luhan sniffed..

" fine.. i will just leave this here, eat it while its still hot." Luhan uttered as he left the rice on the table as he made his way out.

Tears couldn't stop flowing down Luhan's cheeks as he cried.

Kai took the lunch box.

 

( Song : Nell - White Night. ) .

He opened it.

There it was. 

The omelette rice which he loved with a happy smile made from tomato sauce on the omelette.

A small card was with it..

 

" hey Kai! :) Eat it well!! And cheer up alright. though i can't do much for you , still i want you to be happy! cheer up! ^^ FIGHTING! 

<3 , Luhan"

 

Kai placed the card on the table as he closed his eyes..

 

" ooh.. Lu.." Xiumin spoke as he saw a crying Luhan walk out of the hospital.

Xiumin blinked..

" this is bad.." he thought as he rushed to follow Luhan.

 

Luhan was walking aimlessly , still in tears.

" lu.." before Xiumin could call him, someone else called him.

Xiumin turned to look.

 

" heyys" the guy smiled.

Luhan couldn't smile.

" who's he?" Xiumin thought.

Then as Xiumin was about to walk forward, his phone rang.

" heyys can you come to the emergency room soon? we need you " a voice said.

" oh sure. sure" Xiumin replied.

He bit his lips as he dashed back to the hospital.

" i need to tell Kai about this later." he thought.

 

" heyys.. are you okay.." the guy asked.

Luhan shook his head..

" tissue?" he offered.

" thanks Tao.. it's just.." Luhan teared.

" it's alright. take your time " Tao said.

 

( Back At Home )

" ah i look like an idiot , really." Sehun thought as he looked at his own reflection.

Dressed in a Peter Pan outfit, Sehun couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

Sehun had prepared a little skit for Luhan so Luhan could cheer up..

" ah ah ... so Peter Pan has arrived... ah ah.." as Sehun started imitate Peter Pan.

" anyways where is he.. ( turns to look at the clock ) " Sehun thought.

 

( In A Cafe ) 

" Apple Soda." Tao smiled as he placed the drink beside Luhan.

Luhan just sniffed.

" are you feeling better?" Tao asked.

There was no response. 

Then Tao saw a tear ,

" oh no . no. Don't cry " Tao spoke as he looked at Luhan.

With wet eyes and a running nose, Luhan turned to look at Tao.

Tao blinked,

" heys.. don't cry.." Tao spoke as he pulled Luhan in for a hug..

Luhan cried as he just couldn't find any words to say.

 

( Back at the hospital ) 

" you haven't eaten that? " DO asked as he pointed to the lunch box.

Kai shook his head.

" its gonna get cold " DO spoke.

Kai didnt reply.

" hyung.. am i a bastard.." Kai asked.

" what made you say that?" DO spoke as he folded his arms,

" don't know. just feel so i guess." Kai replied.

" well... you do know Luhan is kinda sensitive towards all this, and you do know he treats you like a brother so i guess you acting like this.. well. maybe a little bastard of you to do so." DO said.

" ( sighs ) i just can't .. ( sighs ) i dont know why..." Kai answered.

" That you will have to ask your heart . But Luhan doesn't even know what happened that you are acting like this to him.." DO asked.

Kai nodded.

" you .. He doens't know you fancy him isn't it... " DO calmly said.

" yea.." Kai replied.

" you haven't told him? " Do spoke.

" ( shakes head ) I felt there wasn't a need , and to add on, Luhan and Sehun are already together. " Kai said.

" Sehun? That red eyed guy..? " DO said.

" yea. " Kai nodded.

" whatever, i still felt you should have told Luhan your feelings. I mean he deserve to know why you are acting like this now. " DO replied.

" you think i should ? " Kai asked.

" well, its up to you man, but It 's sad to see that guy cry. I think Luhan can cry over this for days. really, " DO said.

Kai sighed.

" hey ! " Xiumin suddenly entered.

The two guys turned to look at him.

" heys... Is Luhan home yet? Is he feeling better? " Xiumin asked.

" i'm not sure." Kai answered.

" you wanna call him ? i saw him with another guy whom i don't recognize just now. " Xiumin said.

" really?" Kai asked.

" But Luhan doesn't really know many people does he? " DO asked.

" yea ." Xiumin said.

" but that guy is i dont know. Something feels weird about him.. " Xiumin added.

" weird? " DO questioned.

" yea . He gives off that weird vibe and.. His eyes were as red as Sehun's " Xiumin finished.

Kai turned to look at Xiumin.

" did you say Red?" Kai asked.

" yea ! " Xiumin nodded.

" red.. .. " Kai thought..

" i saw someone who's eyes were as red as Sehun's before.." Kai thought..

" Kai , better call home to see if Luhan's home" DO said.

" me ? " Kai asked.

" yea. if not ? " DO spoke.

 

" Hello.. " Sehun answered.

" heys.." Kai said.

Sehun nodded.

" is Luhan home? " Kai asked.

" no.. He went to find you " Sehun replied.

" really? " Kai asked.

" yea.. Isn't he with you? " Sehun asked.

" nope. He left quite awhile ago, about an hour ago. " Kai said.

" really ? " Sehun asked.

" where did he go.. " Sehun thought.

" Xiumin said he was with some red eyed guy though.. " Kai spoke.

" red eye.. " Sehun thought.

 " TAO.." he uttered.

" eh?" Kai asked.

" nothing. i got to go see you " Sehun hung up..

 

" he isn't home yet ? " DO asked.

" yea.. " Kai replied.

" shall we look for him ? " Xiumin asked. 

" wait . give him a call first " DO spoke.

Xiumin nodded.

" where did you last saw him? " Kai asked.

" across the junction.! " Xiumin replied.

" i will go find him " Kai said as he grabbed his coat and dashed out.

" wow. That was fast " Xiumin chuckled.

DO shook his head as he chuckled .

" where are you Luhan.. " Kai thought..

Sehun walked out as he walked by the streets , trying to locate Luhan's location.

" damn.. where is he " Sehun growled.

 

( Back at the cafe ) 

 " sorry.. i kinda soiled your shirt. " Luhan sniffed as he wiped his tears. 

" .. you gonna buy me one new one " Tao teased.

Luhan gave a faint smile.

" want some cake ? i can go get some " Tao asked.

" they have many flavors here " Tao said.

" really..? then can i have the chocolate one ? " Luhan asked.

" sure.haha. Wait here while i go get it " Tao smiled.

 

" ah where is he " Kai uttered as he leaned on the nearest lamp post..

Then..

" Luhan ? " he thought as he spotted the familiar back of someone..

Kai ran towards the cafe .

He knocked on the glass window.

Luhan turned. , his eyes widened.

" Kai " Luhan mouthed.

" come out , lets talk " Kai mouthed.

Luhan looked at him.

" come out, " Kai spoke.

Luhan gave a faint smile as he nodded.

As Luhan was about to leave,

 " ah Tao.." he thought as he turned to see the long queue where Tao was queueing at.

Luhan ran to Tao.

" heys. Thank you for today.. but i really got to go.. sorry.. i will text you! " Luhan spoke as he dashed out.

" eh?!.. wait wait.." Tao spoke, totally confused.

 

" heyys " Luhan spoke as he looked at Kai.

" have you been crying.. " Kai asked , looking into Luhan's eyes.

Luhan nodded. then chuckled.

Kai gave a light smile.

" i am sorry ah Kai.. " Luhan spoke.

Kai turned to look at him.

" i couldn't do much for you when you were down. " Luhan said.

" it's not your fault " Kai spoke.

" still " Luhan uttered.

" thank you for the rice " Kai said.

" you ate it ? " Luhan asked.

" ( shakes head ) rushed out to find you actually. " Kai chuckled.

" me ? " Luhan spoke.

" yea , because Xiumin saw you with someone and you weren't home so .. yea.. " Kai uttered.

Luhan smiled.

" thank you. " Luhan smiled.

Kai chuckled.

"  actually.. hyung.. ( suddenly stopping ) i have something to tell you.. " Kai spoke as he looked into Luhan's eyes.

Luhan looked at him .. 

" yea ? " Luhan asked.

" i .. " Kai spoke.

From a corner...

" is he going to confess.? " Sehun thought..

Sehun watched the two..

Kai was a step faster to getting to Luhan then him ...

Sehun looked at the two ..

" yea ? " Luhan asked.

Anyways i have more plans for this story !! intend to let HunHan have a sweet date as well, and when Luhan's mum return...
