“I’m just glad you’ve realized it before it’s too late.” MinJi said, turning off the stereo and taking a seat in the middle of the practice room. “I warned her, didn’t I? I mean, I can be pretty intimidating when I want to be. Was she not scared or was I not clear enough?”
“I don’t know anymore,” You sighed before quickly changing the subject, “but I do know that you must be hungry since you’ve been practicing since the early hours of the morning. ~~~ omma has come bearing delicious foods for baby MinJi to eat in order to replenish her energy!”
MinJi gave you a look in response to your abrupt change in behavior. “Are you really doing this right now?”
You faked a gasp, hand coming up to cover your heart. “Is my MinJi embarrassed?”
She rolled her eyes before gently shoving your shoulder, causing you to fall over laughing.
“You treat me too well,” MinJi said, in awe.
In front of the two of you was an assortment of MinJi’s favorite snacks and drinks.
“Of course,” You said, “you’re my baby after all.”
You received another pointed look in response.
“What,” You returned her look, “I have to take care of you if you’re going to make an unforgettable debut.”
“Don’t try to change the –“ Her eyes slowly widened as your words finally registered. “Wait, d-did you just –“
“It’s not official,” You interrupted, “but there was also talk of a girl group debut during the discussion of Hoya’s and LeenA’s comeback.”
She let out an uncharacteristic squeal and reached over to hug you and you returned her embrace with equal enthusiasm. You watched her excitedly chattering and internally sighed in re
