10th grade

My cellphone rang. I was too lazy to answer it but once i saw the caller ID, I immediately answered it. On the other end, it was her, Lee ~~~.

“myungsoo~ah!” once i heard my real name, i know that something was wrong. She starts to sniff that’s when i discovered that she’s crying.

“myungsoo~ah..” she called me once again, this time her voice is so fragile. Just imagining her in tears makes me want to cry too.

“remember Lee Jaejin? The one i told you about? The one i told you that i love? Well, guess what? I confessed to him today..” she once again sniffed. Hearing her sad voice, hearing that she confessed to the one she loved made my heart shattered into pieces. Knowing that someone I love loves another person made me feel mad and broke at the same time.

“soooo? What happened?” I forced myself to ask her what happened before even though i know that her answer will make me either broken-hearted or mad.

“what happened? Well, he rejected me. He told me that i wasn’t enough. He told me that i’m not good enough for him. It really hurts myungsoo.. It really hurts..”

She starts to sob once again. That Jaejin guy, he sure is a jerk. He doesn’t even know how precious ~~~ is. He doesn’t really know what a beautiful and perfect girl she really is. Somehow, i felt relieved that he rejected her but still great sorrow overtook my heart. That guy is surely lucky to have someone like ~~~ to love him and to cry just because of him.

“myungsoo~ah?” i heard her voice at the other line of my phone.

“wae?” i answered her softly.

“are you busy?”

“no.. wae?”

“can you come here?”

She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did. I immediately told my mom that i’ll go to her house and gladly she agreed right away. I practically run to her house just to be there in no time. Once i’m already in front of their door, i rang the doorbell and waited for a minute or two. When the door opened, i saw her. i saw my one and only bestfriend. I saw my love. I saw ~~~ with her puffy eyes, red nose, and pale face. She was so fragile. Once she saw me in front of their door she immediately hugged me, burying her face on my chest, and crying once again making my shirt wet. I hugged her back.
