During their walk on the beach, Taemin could feel Minho’s eyes lingering on him. It didn’t make him feel uncomfortable but he never had someone love him like this. The last time he felt this kind of love was with his umma who had to leave his life early, and his step father’s ‘love’ was nothing compared to this.

                “Taemin, are you okay? Your face is really red, are you sick anywhere?” Taemin quickly shook his head and kept his head down. Minho smiled and his eyes went down to Taemin’s hand, they were just swinging by his sides. He felt tempted to just take them in his but he didn’t want to scare Taemin away. They silently walked for a few more minutes, it was comfortable and all this time, Taemin could feel his heart pounding. He doesn’t know why this is happening but he felt happy right now, Taemin was so deep in thoughts that he didn’t notice the uneven grounds before him until it was too late.

                “Minnie!” Taemin saw the ground nearing his face but suddenly it stopped. He felt an arm around his waist and a hand holding his tightly. For some reason, Taemin didn’t find it weird that Minho was calling him Minnie; it was like he had always responded to that name. Minho allowed Taemin to stand up on his own but he tightened his hand with Taemin’s.

                “You were always so clumsy Taemin, what would happen to you if I wasn’t by your side? I don’t want to see your beautiful face getting hurt” Minho was happy that he finally had Taemin’s hands back in his and he will never let go again.

                “Call me Minnie, I like it when you call me that” Taemin shyly said as he avoided Minho’s eyes, hearing Minho’s voice calling him that made his heart pound even faster and he liked that feeling so much more.

                “Okay Minnie, are you tired? Do you want to go home?” Taemin looked around and saw that the clouds were starting to cover the sun, making the breeze feel cooler than usual. He nodded as he shivered; they walked hand in hand to the car, enjoying their last moments at the beach. Taemin waited in the car while Minho gathered all the items from their picnic on the beach, by the time Minho got back to the car, Taemin had already dozed off. It was the sound of Minho closing the car door that he woke up.

                “Hyung, I’m hungry already, can we get some snacks?” Taemin rubbed his tummy and they decided to get some ice cream. They drove for about 15 minutes before stopping at a little restaurant, Minho helped Taemin walk in and they sat down in one of the booths. Minho went up to order and Taemin remained in his seat, looking at him from afar. Suddenly a girl came from behind Minho and gave him a big hug, he saw the wide smile on Minho’s face and couldn’t help but feel his heart clench. Before leaving, the girl gave him a kiss on the cheek and he did the same, Taemin could feel tears coming down his face and quickly wiped them away. Minho came back with the ice cream but Taemin could see the frown on his face. Taemin was worried that he had finally realized that Minho was way out of his league.

                “Minnie, why did you cry? Did someone do something to you?” Taemin was confused, how did Minho know that he had cried? His confused, innocent look must have melted Minho’s heart since his expression softens and used his fingers to wipe the escaping tear away. Taemin shrank away and tried to avoid eye contact with Minho.

                “Nothing, I just got something in my eyes” Taemin tried to lie but Minho could see through it.

                “I don’t believe you, you won’t cry so much just because of irritating eyes, now tell me the truth or else I’ll really get angry” Minho pretended to get angry and was ignoring Taemin. He heard sniffling and turned around to see tears running down Taemin’s cheeks.

                “P-please don’t leave me; I didn’t like it w-when the girl kissed you on the cheek and you k-kissed back! I think I like you more than I should. I was afraid that you finally realized that you are too g-good for me” Taemin sniffled as he tried to talk. Through his teary and blurry eyes, Taemin could see the girl coming towards their direction.

                “Minnie, please don’t misunderstand, it’s not what you think!” Minho tried to calm Taemin down.

                “Minho! What did you do to make such a cute boy cry!?” the girl slapped the back of Minho’s head and went to sit down by Taemin.

                “Are you okay sweetie? Did my stupid cousin make you cry?” Taemin hiccupped when he heard that.

                “C-cousin?” Taemin asked with his eyes wide, the girl nodded and said that she was Minho’s older cousin.

                “I haven’t seen him ever since I left for university so I was surprised to see him with such a cutie beside him” Taemin looked back and forth between Minho and his cousin, they did not look alike at all!

                “But-but you two don’t look like each other at all!” Taemin stuttered out, it was really cute and Minho had finally realized what caused Taemin to cry.

                “Minnie, did you think I was cheating on you?” Minho could see Taemin’s face go bright red and couldn’t help but laugh at that, until his cousin smacked him again.

                “Don’t laugh at him, you made him cry and now you’re making him feel bad. Don’t worry, name is Choi Minji, people can never find similiarities between the both of us so they always come to the wrong conclusion. I don’t think about Minho that way, that’s !” Minji said in disgust which caused Taemin to giggle.

                “By the way noona, Taemin is my boyfriend, isn’t he adorable?” Minji nodded and gently pinched Taemin’s cheeks.

                “Don’t cry Taeminnie even though you look adorable but you look way cuter when you’re smiling and giggling” Taemin wiped his tears away and sniffled a few more times before smiling shyly at the both of them, causing them to melt at his cuteness.

                “Well I got to go now, if Minho ever bullies you, tell his umma to contact me and I’ll come and smack him for you” Taemin nodded and allowed her to hug him goodbye along with a kiss on the cheek. They watched her go back to her friends and leaving the restaurant before going back to their ice cream which thankfully had not melted too much.

                “Minnie, listen to me. No matter what happens, always believe that I will always love you and will always be by your side. Also, you are way too good for me, sometimes I don’t even know before how you fell in love with me. I guess I did something really well in my last life and God sent me an angel as a reward” Taemin blushed as he heard Minho’s confession. He decided to do something since he wrongly accused him. He waited until Minho started on his dessert as he leaned in and gently pressed his lips against Minho’s cheek.

                “What was that for?” Minho turned in surprise; it was the first time after the incident that Taemin had initiated any kind of skin contact with him.

                “Just wanted to do something as a thank you for everything you’ve done for me” Taemin quickly turned back to his dessert and continued eating, trying to ignore Minho’s lingering stare.
