It was just another boring weekend for the  three girls. They were lazing on the sofa idly watching Tv as they await for Chaerin's performance. Different idol groups were performing, most of them younger and lively with huge smiles on their faces. Minzy couldn't hide the envy on her face. Dara held her shoulder, making the younger girl avert her gaze to her.

"Are you okay maknae-ah?" Dara asked, concern laced in her tone.

"I, I just can't help it unnie. We are idols but we can't perform on stage unlike them. It's just unfair." Minzy sulked, looking down on her lap as tears gathered in her eyes. Dara soothed the younger girl, her attention drifting to Bom who was also looking on the floor. Dara let out a sigh, this mess is getting out of hand.

"I'm sorry guys." She uttered which caught the attention of the two. They stared at Dara, confusion clear on their face.

"Why are you saying sorry? Nothing is your fault. It's all my fault and because of me you guys are dragged into this mess." Bom's eyes watered as she bit her lip to stop herself from crying but the way her voice croaked, they felt sad along with her. Bom's glow and vigor vanished slowly as days passed from her scandal, they miss their troublesome sister.

"It's not your fault unnie." Minzy stared at Bom, her voice firm. "It's the netizens fault. If they didn't react like idiots and bloody hypocrites then this wouldn't have happened. We just need to stay strong, see Jiyong-Oppa? He persevered and survived. Look at him now." Minzy beamed. Dara nodded in agreement. "Baby Minzy is right. We should stay strong and hold on to each other okay? Whatever happens, we all should remain close friends like sisters, okay?"

"OKAY!" The two shouted making Dara laugh, the two laughing along with her.

"Oh, oh!" Minzy pointed out on the tv as she tapped the Dara and Bom. "Chaerin unnie is gonna perform!"

The three of them watched her performance, their eyes focused on the tv screen as their heads bobbed along to the beat. They sang along on the chorus and cheered CL in their seats, even when they are on house arrest, nothing can stop them to support and cheer on their sister.

After the performance Bom texted CL a congratulations for the superb performance but minutes in, no reply was received. Bom pouted, "maybe they all are just busy."

It finally has reached the end of the show wherein they would release who won for the week. It was CL against a rookie group. They all held hands as they awaited the result, obviously rooting for CL to win. After a few tense seconds, the MC announced CL as the winner. The girls cheered along as they all clapped their hands. As the MC offered the mic to CL, they all quieted down to hear what she has to say.

"Thank you to all my fans, gizibes where you at?" The fans cheered making CL smile. "Thank you guys for the unwavering support. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. I would also like to thank YG Sajangnim, teddy oppa, and the producers and staff. I would also like to thank my back up dancers and most especially I would like to offer this to my mom and dad. I love you guys. Thank you!" CL bowed in gratitude, cue for her music to play. The rest of the idols walked off the stage, giving the stage for the last performance of the winner. Some idols were happy for her win while others, sneered in distaste but there were others who could care less. The camera panned out and as her performance ended, the show did too.

The girls were slumped back on the couch. No one was talking but their heads were all churning. Different thoughts were running in their heads as they averted looking at each other’s eyes. Dara snapped from her thoughts and stared at the two, they ultimately looked down and Dara couldn't help but feel bad.

"Why don't we go out? It feels stuffy in here? We could go shopping or eat out. What do you guys think?" Dara beamed at the two which was only repayed with a sad smile.

"Sorry Dara-ah, I don't feel like going out today. Maybe some other time okay?" Bom excused herself to her room with Minzy following at tow after sharing a small smile. "I also don't feel like it unnie, sorry. Next time."

Dara nodded in understanding, "Okay, next time." She beamed happily but soon ast the two were out of sight, a deep sigh escaped her lips, her eyes cast on their closed doors. She could only watch at the sidelines, she can't do anything, even when it hurts her.

It was a chilly winter morning as Dara's eyes opened, a satisfied smile escaped her lips. Her eyes brightened seeing the snow falling from her window. Snow topped the tips of the skyscrapers that served as her view. The city landscape that is usually filled with bright lights and bustling traffic was serene with a hint of blue and winter white. Her thoughts were at a standstill, usually she would be stressing about her situation; keeping her relationship from her friends and especially from her boss, the pressure of dating in secret, and the underlying tension between her and Jaejoong. She usually would sweep all of it under the rug, masking it with sweet words and actions that he would reciprocate always but she knows that everything has been hurting him. Just the thought of him hurting because of her pains her deeply, as if a dagger was deep in her heart.

But today, as her eyes opened her mind was clear. Content was filling her brain and especially her heart. Her soul, as if she could feel it inside her, was jumping in joy, a grin of bliss pasted on it's face. The smile on her face was unwavering, her eyes twinkling like a child on Christmas eve. She reached out her hand, raising it up towards the clear wall to ceiling glass window, the snow fall was calm and beautiful that she wished she could reach out for it and grasp it on her hands. A low groan interrupted her from her thoughts, the arm wrapped around her torso tightening as he snuggled closer to her neck, burrying his head unto her shoulder.

"What are you doing?" His voice was muffled, sounding gruff and deep, it brought a tingle on her spine hearing his voice first thing in the morning. It's rich and velvety rhythm just sounds so y that she couldn't help but stare at the man that has her wrapped around his arms. She brought her hands on his hair, feeling the soft texture on her fingertips as she ran it through softly. She then brought her hands towards his chin as she lifted his face upwards with such care and gentleness. Jaejoong rested his head on his pillow, his arm outstretched with Dara's head on top as the other was still wrapped on her torso l

Chapter 4: As a Blackjack, it hurts to read this story. All things come to an end, right? So I suppose just like this story, sometimes things end up abruptly. I wish though that you took the time to give this fic a proper ending. It’s such a waste because it was beautifully written.
