|constellations. ★ writing tips
Description
Writing is like painting, and the way you hold the paintbrush and use it can determine the final masterpiece. So here are some tips, bits of advice, and do's and don't's for writing fanfiction (mostly angst, dark, psychological, horror, etc.)
Foreword
It's got a little bit to do with destiny, fate, and what's written in the stars.
What is your perspective on writing?
Writing is, of course, an art. It's a very precise art with different brushstrokes and techniques.
This thread will (attempt to) help you with a myriad of writing tips (i.e. plot, characterization), advice, etc. I'll be focusing mostly on angst and dark genres, but I will include the occasional tip for comedy and light-hearted stories. It might include the occasional rant, but I assure you that I'm not an elitist or a . I myself am a writer who strives to improve also. I'm not perfect, but as a writer and reviewer, I thought that it would help to share my techniques on 'painting' from the perspective of a writer, reader, and reviewer.
Topic suggestions and questions you'd like me to cover are always welcome!
