She stared at his face. Jihoon already played by himself with the toys in her rooms, specially provided for her patients under 7

years old.  She furrowed her eyebrows while her brain tried to process the new information she got, looking for which folders

contained any information about Joon. ‘Joon!Joon! Joon!’ That name repetitively echoed in her mind. She vigorously shook her

head, feeling confused like a computer CPU just waiting its time to crash. She looked at him again. Longer. But still, she

unfortunately couldn’t remember him.

“I annoyed you the most during high schools…” he hinted more. He felt bad for Hyosung as he saw her started to gently

massage her temples.

“Wait! Wait! Let me Google your name in my brain for few more minutes..” she forced her brain to do some flashbacks during

her high-schools days. ‘Hmm..talking about a guy who always bickering with me, he irked me to death and annoyed the hell out

of me..hmm and his name is….’ She frantically tapped her fingers on the table.

“Oh my God! That was you! Joon!!!!” finally she remembered the name that she already erased from her entire life. He showed

her infamous smirk.

“I totally don’t expect this! Haha..after so many years, we meet again..and you even have a son now..Haha” she excitedly said,

seemed like forgetting all the ‘war’ between them before this. Her happy face really made Joon felt relief; glad to know that

actually she didn’t hold any grudge towards him.

Actually, she completely threw away his existence in her life. That is why she’s having a hard time to remember him again. After

all the bad things he had done to her, she decided to not care about him. She just ignored him. Everytime her teachers asked her

to participate in any school events, she will check the name list first. If his name was there then, without thinking twice, she

abruptly will say ‘no’.

And for every single day, she hoped she will not bump into him at school or anywhere, she just wanted to live in her own world.

World is small after all, if she accidentally met him, she pretended that he’s invisible. And Joon realized those. Well, even a

whole school knew both of them were not in good term back then. Yet, Joon did not feel stressed out at all, for him that was the

best thing she can do since he thought he can avoid her bad luck if she took no notice of him.

“Why so quiet? Reminiscing our past?” he asked. Hyosung gripped herself back to reality when Joon randomly waved his hand

in front of her face. All her memories flew away, scattered.

“No..I’m not!” she objected, did not want Joon to know that she was actually thinking about their childish and immature old

quarrel. Joon just grinned. He knew that Hyosung was lying because he also did thinking about the same thing. His arrogant self

was the reason why she hated him and he felt ashamed. ‘I wonder how can I be so mean towards her?’ he mumbled.

“Haha,,you know what? I kinda afraid to introduce myself just now as I thought you will throw things at me..I know you hated

me this much..” he jokingly said while his fingers making a big circle in the air.

“Don’t be silly! I’m not that mean, okay? Seriously, I’ve never thought you still remember me..!”

“Your name is the hardest thing I want to forget. You’re always in my head” his lips curved into a smile.

“Eh…why?” she asked, totally disbelief with his words.

“I always want to meet you and apologize for all the bad things I did to you” there were sounds of terrible regret in his voice.

“You gotta be kidding me…”

“I’m serious”

“Look,,let be gone be by gone…Come on! We’re not immature teens anymore, right Joon?” she calmly spoke her mind.

“I felt bad tho”

“Haha..Seriously, I hated you so much but that was a long long time ago…I even forget all those” she let out a small laugh.

“But I can’t forget them. I’m so surprised when I saw your name written on the door…Like, finally I found you!”

“I didn’t expect this either…we haven’t met for about 12 years, right? You even have a son now!” she pointed her finger at

Jihoon who now comfortably sat on Joon’s lap.

“Haha..Well, he’s not..Actually Jihoon is my nephew. My sister were so busy with her works so I bring him here instead..” he

chuckled. Knowing her guess was wrong, Hyosung laughed so hard while playfully palmed her forehead.

“What about you? A mom?” he friendly asked.

“Yup” she nodded.

“Wow!”

“I’m a mom to my two kittens at home” she explained while Joon let out a big laugh. He didn’t expect that Hyosung got a good

sense of humor. Once again, he impressed how both of them can actually jokes around as if they were friends for years. Now

he admitted that Hyosung is very kind and bright girl and that personalities completely pleased him.

“What a flirt”  Hyosung said as soon as she pulled a chair and sat opposite to Joon. But that wont stop Joon to flash his smile to

a customer who sat two tables from them. Gorgeous lady, in mid her 20s.

“A friendly smile is not a crime” he beamed. She rolled her eyes at him as she purposely hit his shoulder with the menu

pamphlets. Joon just let out a small laugh.

It has been weeks they started their friendship. Their unexpected meeting at the dentist clinic wasn’t their last meeting as they

exchanged their phone numbers. And since then, they became close and started to know more about each other. Even

Hyosung’s family already knew about their friendship since she appointed Joon to be her unofficial ‘chauffeur’ every time she

wanted to go back to her hometown. Mr. Jeon, at first, was very happy to see her daughter finally brought a guy to meet him as

he thought Joon is Hyosung’s boyfriend. It took a long time for Hyosung to convince his dad that they are just friend. Same

thing goes to Joon’s family, which everyone thinks she is Joon’s wife-to-be.

“Joon, let’s go to spa after this” she said excitedly as she stuffed chicken meat into .

“Wow..spa..that’s pretty new side of you..” he chuckled. Usually she will ask him to accompany her to play tennis, watching

movies but now, spa.

“Hyoyoung unnie gave me a discount card. She didn’t want to go so she asked me to replace her. What a waste if I don’t use it,

right?” she explained. She looked at Joon and really hoped for him to say yes.

“Hmm about no? ” he refused. That must be hella bored for him since he needed to wait for her for hours.

“You can wash your hair there while waiting for me” she said as if she can read what’s on her friend’s mind.

“Joon..pleaseeeee” she pouted.

“No” he sipped his drink, ignoring her request.

“Please?”

“No way”

“Yes way” Hyosung stood up and ready to make her step towards the café entrance.

One step.

Two steps.

She turned around and saw Joon is walking towards her. She inwardly smiled as she knew that Joon won’t disappoint her.
