The veils of interlocking dreams were disturbed and lifted, an unfitting buzz invading their deep waters and rippling the surface.   He tossed about on the bed, blindly searching for the source of the piercing sound. His hand bumped on something warm and his slumber was further disturbed. Parting one eyelid and revealing a puffy-red eye to the world, the first thing he saw was gold silk. Right in front of him.   Maybe he was still dreaming. Maybe after closing and re-opening his eyes, all the warmness would be gone, leaving him all alone again.     But it didn't.     The sunlight-thread silk moved and revealed a pair of half-lidded orbs underneath. He stared at them for a few seconds, deciding he wasn't hallucinating. Strangely enough, his head wasn't pounding. Only a faint pain remained, vaguely reminding him of the previous night.       "You okay?"       He closed his eyes again and sighed. This question was always pissing him off. And he always answered it; when it came from him.       "Yes, Jungsoo, I'm okay..."   "Get up then."       Rustling of bed-sheets and the warm feeling was gone. He immediately say up straight, fearing not to lose him from his sight. The blonde let a pained grunt as he stretched his body, the position he had slept in not being ideal for his age. Glancing at the younger and making sure he was relatively fine, he left the room to go to the bathroom.   The change was so sudden, the temperature falling several degrees. At least it felt like that to Hyukjae. He wanted to curl into a ball and never stand up again. But he had to, he had told him to.     His body weighted a ton as he dragged it to the kitchen, hating the fact that he had to practice the same routine day after day: get up, eat abd then pretend to be happy and pleased for the rest of the hours ahead, till it's time to sleep. Only to start anew the following sunrise. Yes, organised life plans like that infuriated Hyukjae the most.   They ate breakfast in silence, Jungsoo not sure about how he should approach the subject of the other man's most recent break-down. He knew that he would eventually talk - when the pressure became too much - but for that to happen, they might have to wait six more months. Hyukjae was an expert at keeping his problems at bay after all. Most of the times.       "What will you do today?"       A seemingly indifferent question but Jungsoo knew better.       "Nothing special... The fridge needs refilling, the laundry must be done..."       The usual. Hyukjae nodded and took another spoonful of his cereal. Usual was good. It meant he knew what to expect. It meant he could occupy himself with simple matters, escape for a few hours. Keep away from the place he usually slept at.       "You need to call" said the older, sensing his intentions.       He didn't get an answer but Hyukjae would do it. He wouldn't let Tiffany worry for no reason. Avoiding things that would only make their already unhappy life even more unbearable, that was Hyukjae's rule.   They finished eating and the black-haired man grabbed his mobile, staring at the screen for a while - forming what he would (or should) say - and then dialing. She answered at the third ring. Of course she had the device by her side, was waiting for his call.       "Oppa!"       Her worried voice filled the receiver and the man cringed. Wishing she would stop, forget him, disappear from the face of this planet. Anything! Just so that he didn't have to face or hear her again.       "Hey..."   "Where are you?!"                                                Away from you...       "At Jungsoo's. We had paper work till late last night and his place is closer to the office."                         Lies...       A small muscle twitched at his temple, a dull pain rising from the insides of his brain, laying there quietly for way too long. That voice woke up and forcefully dragged with it the painful feeling. The man rubbed his forehead, listening to his fiancee's high pitched voice.       "I'll come home late. Don't wait me for dinner."       He pressed the button to end the call, complaints faintly audible from the speaker. That part of the problem had been temporarily taken care of.       LIES!       Dropping the gadget on the table, his hands pressing the sides of his head. He stood up, the world turning around him, his stomach turning along with it. Ignoring the strong hand on his shoulder, he rushed to the bathroom and emptied the half-digested breakfast in the toilet. Panting hard, he remained crouched there, his body shaking after the unnatural action. His hearing fuzzed, Jungsoo's voice reaching him with parasites. Lately, it seemed that everyone's words were like that, empty and threatening to his sanity. He had grown tired of that... Listening to the same words again and again. Phrases without meaning, breaths and oxygen wasted.       "Hyuk, calm down..."       And now even him! The person who was responsible for always bringing him back - even Jungsoo - had lost his previous competence.       "DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!"       A thunder roared and then silence. Only his heavy breathing, his chest rising and falling, up and down, his fists clenching and unclenching.       "Hyukjae..."       The blonde could only stare. When ice turns into water, it slips from your hands and you can't do a thing to hold it anymore.       "Hyukjae..." he repeated and lifted his hand to touch the man's face, having to make sure it was really him, that he really couldn't do something.   "Don't touch me..."       The younger hissed, flinching at the movement and, like a trapped animal, he escaped. Hurrying past his best friend, his shoulder colliding hard with his own. Changing to his clothes and grabbing his things - mobile phone, keys, wallet, his broken self - he left.   Jungsoo stood frozen, absentmindedly hearing the younger's rustling noises. He didn't stop him and even if he had, he didn't know what he should say. All that he always calmed the man down
