There you were, walking down the street in nothing but jeans, a tank top and sneakers. Your hair was in a high ponytail, and your shades sitting perfectly across your face. You had no idea why, but you were so relaxed and upbeat today. Little did you know, your friends, the Beast members to be exact, were inside a cafe nearby, and DooJoon was staring you down. Suddenly, you could hear someone call your name. It was Dongwoon, who also spotted you from the cafe. He waved, and you couldn't help but to smile and walk back in that direction. “Hey Dongwoon, what's going on?” You asked. “Not much. The hyungs and I have some free time, and because it's pretty hot today we decided to get some smoothies.” Dongwoon said. “Oh nice. I sure could use one, but I don't have my money.” You said. “Come on, I'll pay for you.” He said, motioning for you to come inside. Before you could say anything though, Dongwoon had already went back to the line with his hyungs.

You took a deep sigh, knowing that it would be pretty pointless to argue with him about it. You took off your shades, greeting the rest of the boys with a warm smile. That was when DooJoon came up to you. “Hi pretty lady,” He said. You blushed for a moment, unsure of what to say. “Hi...” You smiled. “Dongwoon says you don't have the money to buy a smoothie, so I insisted that I would buy for you.” DooJoon said. “You know, you guys really don't have to make all of this trouble over little old me,” You assured him. “Come on, you're a friend. It's not like you're a complete stranger.” He winked. His wink didn't have much affect on you however, so you just looked away. “At least let me pay you back, it's the least I can do.” You said. “No, I won't allow it.” DooJoon shook his head. You sighed, giving up. There wasn't a way to win an argument with DooJoon either.

Because the tables were small, only a certain amount could fit. You, DooJoon, and Dongwoon sat at one table while Hyunseung, Yoseob, Junhyung and KiKwang sat at another table. DooJoon couldn't help but to stare at you. You noticed this as you were taking a sip of your smoothie. DooJoon immediately put his head down, not saying a word. “So, are you guys enjoying your day off?” You asked, trying to start a conversation. “Yep. We thought about going to the arcade today. You should come with us.” Dongwoon suggested. “I went to the arcade last weekend. I don't have enough money for that so I think I'll pass.” You said. “We can always pay for you, right hyung?” Dongwoon asked. But before DooJoon could answer, your phone went off. It was your mom. “What's wrong? Ok, I'll be right there.” You said, standing from the table. “Sorry guys, my dad is being rushed to the hospital. I have to go.” You told them. Thanking them for the smoothie, you walked briskly to your house. The ambulance was not far behind.

Later that evening, your father was still running tests. You called the boys because the doctor said he was in critical condition. Dongwoon and DooJoon came, but the others stayed behind. “I hope your dad will be ok,” said Dongwoon, hugging you tightly. As he hugged you, your heart began to beat faster. “What's this? Am I falling for Dongwoon?” You thought to yourself. DooJoon was nearby on the chair, watching. He felt a sharp pain go through his chest as he viewed the scene infront of him. DooJoon fell for you the first time the two of you met. He tried to tell you about it, tried to give you hints. But you always shut them down. Maybe it was time for him to come out and say it. Soon the doctor came and spoke to you and your mom. “I'm sorry ladies. Nothing has changed with his condition. We will continue to monitor him and run more tests in the morning. I suggest that you go home and get some rest. If anything changes, we'll call you.” said the doctor. So your mom decided to go home. Dongwoon and DooJoon walked you both to the car. “Thanks for coming guys.” you smiled, opening the car door. “Call me if you need anything,” DooJoon said before closing the door.

A few days passed and you hadn't seen the boys because of your father. Dongwoon would come over to the house when he had the time to visit you. He would even text you to check up on you. More and more, you noticed your feelings for Dongwoon were growing. It was Friday now, and Dongwoon offered to take you out to the movies. You were excited, pulling out your best jeans and a pink shirt with only a one shoulder sleeve. You wore your hair in a side braid and did your makeup. The doorbell rang, and you rushed out to get it. You opened the door to reveal DooJoon, standing there dressed in jeans and a polo with a fedora. “DooJoon, what are you doing here?” You asked. “You are coming with us to the movies right?” he asked. You stood there, dumbfounded for a moment. “But I thought it was going to be me and Dongwoon?” You thought to yourself. “Dongwoon didn't tell me you were coming.” You said. “He didn't? Well, are you coming or not?” he asked.

So the three of you headed out to the movies. Dongwoon sat on one end, while you sat in the middle, and DooJoon at the other end. DooJoon faked a yawn and put his arm around you. “I really like this man's nerves!” You thought as you got comfortable. “I need to run to the bathroom, I'll be right back.” Dongwoon said as he got up quickly. “You know, I've been thinking,” DooJoon began. “Maybe you and I could go out sometime? You know, without the maknae.” he continued. “DooJoon, is there something you wanna tell me?” You asked. DooJoon sighed. “I like you. I mean I really, really like you. Don't you like me?” he asked. You were in complete shock. All this time, DooJoon liked you. And now you didn't know what to think. “DooJoon, I'm sorry. But, I like Dongwoon. I've never really had any feelings for you.” You told him. He only sat there, silent for a moment. “I understand.” He replied. The two of you remained awkward for the rest of the night.

2 weeks later, Dongwoon had announced that the two of you were dating. The boys were happy for you, but DooJoon couldn't believe what he had heard. He was heartbroken. The one girl he fell for didn't love him back, but instead was in love with one of his dongsaengs. DooJoon knew he couldn't force you out of it, and force you to love him instead. He walked outside, needing some fresh air. You noticed this and decided to go and talk to him.”DooJoon, are you ok?” you asked. “Yeah, I'm fine. Listen, I know you're with Dongwoon now, but I just want you to be happy. And as long as you're happy, I'm happy.” DooJoon admitted. You smiled graciously. “Thanks DooJoon. I think I will be very happy with Dongwoon so there's nothing to worry about.” You admitted. “Good. I know I can't make you love me, so go to him now. I'll be fine.” DooJoon said, walking away. As he walked, a tear ran down his cheek. He cried silently to himself, daring not to look back at you.
