Fairytales☆
It Has To Be YouPark Gyuri always believed in fairytales. Her own knight in shining armor.
Ever since she was a little girl, she was given the idea that life would somehow be like that. A beautiful castle with matching carriage (or in this case; a car), her own cute little children running around, and a handsome prince right by her side. Oh yes, she imagined it often. Too often. Well, it wasn’t her fault. Having a rich and powerful father, she imagined her life would be full of happiness and ease. Being spoon fed her riches and her prosperity; it might as well be a fairytale anyway.
So today, something unexpected happened.
Something sort of magical. Or not.
Cause this time, it wasn’t exactly a fairytale starting.
Yes.
When the Campus Casanova, Lee Eunhyuk suddenly came by to her car to have a random conversation. She couldn’t help but think back to it and feel...
FLASHBACK
Finished with her critical writing class, Gyuri decided to head home early for some rest.
It was a nice, typical day, and the noon-time sun was just about beaming on her at the right angles. She felt good. Pretty.
Noticing a big, white, blotchy spot on her car’s window, she went ahead to clean it.
And surprisingly, while she was wiping the mess, from the corner of her rear view mirror, she saw a certain guy checking her out.
Turning to face the guy, she got rid of the napkin and stood to clearly see who it was.
It was a college student who was standing in front of his own expensive sports car that was adjacent to hers.
He seemed to be smiling at her from afar.
Gyuri tilted her head in confusion.
The man seemed to be waiting for her attention and waved at her.
It was only then when he was jogging towards her, where she could finally see his face clearly.
She gasped.
Lee Eunhyuk?
Lee. Eun. Hyuk. The guy that was probably admired by the whole male population and crushed on by the female population. He was a member (or used to be) member of the judo club, the dance club, the football team, the male volleyball junior varsity, art academy and the martial arts society. Gyuri couldn’t imagine how a regular person could handle that many activities, but it WAS Lee Eunhyuk. Part of the infamous Lee family. They were anything but normal.
But she threw off that thought as Eunhyuk steadily strode towards her. Looking cool and all.
Although he was known to give off a cold and ruthless expression, he was actually smiling at her as he got closer.
“Park Gyuri..?” he said hesitantly.
Gyuri only nodded.
He grinned slightly, “I’m sorry ‘bout your car.”
Her car?
“Pardon me?”
“I said, your car. I accidently got some ice cream on it. Stupid me, somehow, it got on your window. I tried to wipe it off, but I didn’t want to invade your property.”
Aha.
So Eunhyuk only wanted to know about the car. Not you, Gyuri. Not you.
Gyuri’s mood went down instantly.
‘I thought he was going to ask me something important,’ Gyuri thought to herself. She felt like she anticipated more. ‘Next time, don’t get your hopes up, Park Gyuri. You’ll look like a .’
Already in a negative mood, she looked at him blankly.
Park Gyuri put on a fake smile, “It’s alright. I fixed it. Thanks for confessing, anyway.”
She opened her car door and bid him a goodbye.
“W-wait!” Eunhyuk pulled her up instantly. “Don’t just go so fast. Don’t you want to know the name of the person that spilled ice cream on your expensive car? Don’t you want them to pay the consequences?”
“What?” Gyuri burst out a laugh, “Why would I want to do that?”
Eunhyuk laughed also, “Heh, just checking. The last time I did that to someone’s car, I had to pay the consequences.”
“Ah, so you’re the clumsy type?”
“Yeah—doesn’t look like it though right? I look smooth don’t I?” Eunhyuk put on his sunglasses.
“Wow, you’re full of yourself.”
“No, I just can’t help acting like this. I’ve come face-to-face with an angel from the heavens above.” Eunhyuk put empahasis on the word ‘angel’. Then, he winked at her.
“Are you flirting with me?”
“Yes—No, of course not.”
“Yes, you are.”
“I’m not. Gyuri-sshi, I believe you might be a little full of yourself also.”
Gyuri smiled, “Then we must be two birds of a feather.”
Gyuri couldn’t believe she was flirting back with him. Every little remark, she had a comeback to. He always had something witty to say. At some point, they stopped flirting and talked about school. Then they talked about life, friends, food, a lot of things. There they were. They stood there, in the parking lot, face to face.
It took time to gather the fact that they didn’t really know each other, but it seemed like they were good friends.
While Eunhyuk got a text message, Gyuri couldn’t help but study him. He was wearing a brown leather jacket over a low white v-neck shirt, which showed his broad but slim figure. His black hair spiked out and his dark jeans faded in. His plain black boots were signature brand, and his watch was expensive looking.
Figures, Gyuri thought. Obviously. He’s rich too.
But something caught Gyuri’s eye. A small thin necklace with the Korean characters
“한유이♥이은혁” (translation: Han Yui ♥ Lee Eunhyuk)
Gyuri was furious.
How can he flirt with her when he has a girlfriend already?
Eunhyuk touched Gyuri’s shoulder, “Hey, did you have lunch yet?”
How dare he touch me when he has a girlfriend? The nerve of him!
“I’m in the mood for some kimchi fried rice. I heard about this nice restaurant near Itaewon. How about you? It’s a date!” Eunhyuk’s face was inches away from Gyuri’s, his right arm caressing her shoulder.
How dare he?!
Without thinking much of it, Gyuri slapped Eunhyuk on his left cheek.
SLAP.
THUD.
Gyuri gasped. The Perfect Lee Eunhyuk was on the floor unconscious.
Oh no.
