“This is fun, Donghae!” Jessica gigged and bounced around the bed. She took the pillow beside her and threw it up in the air then watched it land back on the bed again.

Donghae looked at the mess that she have done in his bedroom and let out a small sigh. How long was she going to stay here? He didn’t buy anything about her falling from the sky and he thought she must be some lunatic that have forgotten where she stayed.

She’s a crazy woman, Donghae. The voice in his head reasoned.

“But she’s too beautiful to be crazy.” Donghae mumbled and pulled his blanket up to his chin. “It’s time to sleep, Jessica.”

“Good night, Donghae.” Jessica smiled and stopped playing with the pillows.

Donghae switched off the lights in the room and closed his eyes. Hoping that everything will be back in place tomorrow. She would leave and he would have a peaceful and quiet house again.

“Donghae, are you asleep?” the female voice called

“Yes I am. What is it?” he answered her.

“I can’t sleep.”

“It’s not my business, Jessica. I have to work tomorrow.”

“Can we talk?”

“No, I HAVE to work tomorrow.”

“Can you not go to work then?” Jessica questioned again.

Donghae sighed, “If I don’t work, I wouldn’t have any money and I can’t survive. That’s it. I’m sleeping.”

Jessica pouted and looked down at sleeping Donghae. She turned her body to the left so that she was now facing the night sky. Sighing, she thought of how her best friends are doing up there. It’s been only one day but it feels like forever.

A sense of loneliness overcame her and she couldn’t help but feel empty inside.

She looked down at the sleeping figure of Donghae again and an idea popped up in her head. Slowly and quietly, making sure that she didn’t wake him up, she took her place beside him and closed her eyes.

The heat radiating from Donghae’s body made her smile in content.

“Good night, Donghae-ssi.”

The next morning, Donghae was awaken by the sound of his alarm and despite the loud ringing, he decided to lazy in bed for a little longer.

He cringed his face when he felt something ticklish on it and he tried to swat it off but once when his hand touched it, it felt like somebody’s hair. So he opened his eyes to find something or someone sleeping beside him and it turns out to be none other than Jessica.

“AHHHHH!!!” he screamed and jumped up, not minding if his screams had disturb his neighbours.

Awake by the loud scream, Jessica sat up rubbing her eyes, “What’s wrong?” she asked innocently.

“What are you doing on my bed?” Donghae pointed at her.

“I couldn’t sleep yesterday so…”

“So you slept beside me??” he asked in bewilderment.

Jessica nodded and bit her lips. Was it wrong to sleeping beside someone else? Or is it the fact that she did something wrong?

Donghae almost wanted to knock himself on the wall but seeing Jessica’s guilt-ridden face, he couldn’t help but soften. Didn’t she know that male and female aren’t supposed to sleep together unless they were married or together? He sighed and shook it head.

Still, he finds that Jessica is just a girl who lost her memory and she only remembers her name and nothing else. He needed to help her get back her family.

Oh Donghae, why wouldn’t you believe that someone would actually be able to fall down from the sky?

“Come on,” he told the girl who was sitting on the floor looking at him with puzzled eyes. “Let’s get ready for breakfast.”

This made Jessica jumped up in excitement, “Alright!” she ran out of the room sat on the sofa.

Curious, Donghae followed her and asked her why she was sitting on the sofa.

“I’m waiting for food to be brought.” Jessica simply replied him with a smile.

Donghae placed his fingers on his temples and slowly massage it. This was going to be tough.

“Ok princess, but first, I don’t serve you food and you have to wash up too” he calmly told her.

Jessica nodded without understanding. She clearly remembered that yesterday the shop auntie had brought the food over for her. “What’s washing up?” she asked and that was the last thing Donghae wanted to hear.

So Donghae spent half an hour trying to teach her how to brush her teeth and what showering was. Once she was done, he handed her a towel and one of his shirt that was too large for her.

When Jessica walked out, she looked ever appealing with her damp hair and the oversized shirt that barely cover her long and slim legs. Donghae gulped at the sight but turned his head away immediately.

He could feel his face burning up.

“Is something wrong?” Jessica looked up, down, left and right for something that would tell her why was he reacting this way. Without her powers, she could no longer read whatever was on a human’s mind.

“Uh-uhm nothing.” Donghae stammered and told her to sit by the sofa where he dried her brown locks.

“I feel like a dad right now.” He told Jessica who was humming a small tune.

“Dad? Do you have a child?” the girl knew that humans had things such as parents but Donghae don’t look like someone who has a child.

Donghae chuckled at her innocence, “You don’t have to know.”

“Oh, by the way, you said something about having to work today. You really can’t bring me along?” Jessica crossed her fingers hoping that he would change his mind.

The older male looked up at the clock and his eyes grew wider. “Not today, Jessica. I’m late for work.” He placed down the wet towel and grabbed his stuffs.

“There’s money in the shelf, Jessica.” He called before leaving the house, “If you’re hungry, just buy some food for yourself.”

Then the door closed behind him, leaving a clueless Jessica staring at the place where he last stood.
