The bullet shot through her body, a force so strong that collapsed her onto the floor. Her breathing became heavier and heavier as she attempted to endure the pain. Her skin grew pale as she felt the blood rush through her body and out of her stomach. She turned her head, to see the man running towards her with a worried expression.

This must be it; the end for her. Her heart, instead of racing, grew slower this time. He knelt down and cradled her in his arms with tears filling up in his eyes. His cruel expression changed to a softer, gentle one; a caring expression.

She forced her tired eyes open but her vision betrayed her. The more she tried to keep them open, the blurrier it became; though it was definitely him. It was his scent.

“Byunghun,” she whispered in between her deep breaths, “Is it wrong to love someone you know you can never have?”

A drop of water fell onto her cheek; his tear drop.

He caressed her cheek as he gazed down at her beautiful face. A face he’d taken for granted all these years.

He looked at her body. Her arms all bruised, her legs filled with cuts.

“That person must be an idiot to do something so stupid,” he told her.

She grew colder and colder, almost like an ice statue. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry…” she repetitively apologized to him. His anger boiled inside of him to see her like this.

“I’m sorry that an idiot like me, has fallen in love with you.” And with her last words, and last strength, she gave him a faint smile before shutting her eyes.

He had never appreciated her until now.

His hatred for her, had never left, until now.
