Baekhyun and Chanyeol has always had a special connection with that special holiday, Christmas. As a matter of fact, they first met at Chanyeol’s Church Christmas Bash. Chanyeol had gone with his family and cousin Suho. He was a 5-year old kid, b with happiness and excitement as he hopped around the churchyard waving his balloon around. He didn’t look where he was going and bumped right into someone else.

                “Ouch!” the younger boy he bumped into cried, massaging his forehead that Chanyeol hit with the balloon. Chanyeol dropped the balloon in shock and immediately apologized. “Oh no! I’m so sorry! I didn’t do that on purpose! But can you please don’t tell Santa? I’m trying so hard to be on the nice list this year…pwetty pwease…” Chanyeol pouted, rubbing his hands together.

                “I got it…I won’t tell Santa anything, if he ever existed at least,” the shorter boy murmured. He looked up and saw a tall boy with curly hair, big eyes and a really creepy Cheshire Cat smile looking at him, his teeth all showing as he smiled his Cheshire Cat smile. Anybody else would have thought the taller boy was weird but he looked pretty cute to him.

                “Yeah!! You saved me! Now I’m gonna get a nice gift from Santa for sure! What’s your name?” Chanyeol asked. He looked at the shorter boy and thought, HE IS ADORABLE!!! AIEEEEE!!! The boy before him had soft dark brown hair with beautiful dark orbs and a big toothy grin.

                “My name’s Baekhyun. I just moved here.”

                “You know your name sounds very similar to Bacon,” Chanyeol giggled. Baekhyun rolled his eyes. “Yeah, like I haven’t heard that before.” For a young kid, he sure knows quite a bit of sarcasm.

                “Can I call you Bacon?”

                “Uh…welllll….I..”

                “Come on Bacon! I gotta introduce you to my cousin! You’re gonna love him! We’re gonna have so much fun!! SUHO!!!!” Chanyeol grabbed Baekhyun’s wrist and he pulled him near the buffet table where Suho was. Baekhyun didn’t even get the chance to say anything and he was dragged to meet the tall boy’s cousin.

                Chanyeol was right on one thing: they did enjoy themselves that night. Even Baekhyun’s parents were smiling, they didn’t think their shy little boy would make friends so soon. Chanyeol was however, wrong on one thing: Baekhyun didn’t love Suho. Not in the romantic way at least. Instead, he felt himself getting more attracted to Chanyeol.

                If love at first sight on Christmas was possible, then the first kiss was possible too. Baekhyun and Chanyeol grew to be best friends and attended the same school. When they were 8, Chanyeol invited the whole of EXO to his house for a Christmas party. Hunhan and Xiuchen were confirmed as couples and they snuggled with their respective lovers on the couch. Kyungsoo had a bit of a cold, so he was wrapped in a warm fluffy blanket and was given a mug of eggnog. Luhan was snuggled in Sehun’s arms, playing with the new deer plushie he got from his parents.

                “Baekkie! I got a gift for you! Hope you like it!” Chanyeol handed Baekhyun a carefully wrapped box. Baekhyun took the gift and without even a thank you, the boy tore open the wrappers and peered inside. He dropped his jaw at what Chanyeol made for him. Sweet Chanyeol made a scrapbook for Baekhyun, holding all their beautiful memories. There was a picture of their first meeting during Christmas, first day in school together, first time they acted in a play, first time they went swimming and much more.

                “Oh…Channie…”

                “Do you like it Baekhyun?” Chanyeol asked eagerly. “I spent a lot of time on this and I had mummy help me out and I tried using the glue gun but I accidentally glued a star on my finger which is why the skin on my finger looks weird and I was so worried you’d hate it because you thought it was cheesy and…” Baekhyun immediately shut Chanyeol’s rant with a kiss on the lips. Everybody stopped and stared at Baekhyun and Chanyeol, whose cheeks have turned to be the same colour as the red ornaments on the tree.

                “Baekhyun and Chanyeol sitting in a tree…” Kai sang. Kyungsoo tried singing along but sneezed halfway.

                “K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!” EXO finished, rolling in laughter. Kris punched his best friend Chanyeol in the arm and laughed. Suddenly, Luhan got our from his seat and grabbed something from the seat next to him.

                “Lookie lookie! Mistletoe!” Luhan jumped excitedly, trying to put it above Chanyeol and Baekhyun’s heads, only to realize he wasn’t tall enough. “Let me,” Kris said, grabbing the mistletoe. He dangled it above Chanyeol’s head, since he’s the only one taller than Chanyeol.

                “According to Christmas rule, you need to kiss him or Santa won’t come next year.” Xiumin said, while stuffing buns in his mouth. Chanyeol stared at him with wide eyes. “I’ll be on the naughty list next year?!”

                “Yeah, so kiss him or Santa won’t come next year!” Chen urged. Chanyeol was really the only person who still believed in Santa, even at the age of 8. But hey, that just means the tall guy is even easier to manipulate. Baekhyun rolled his eyes, knowing Santa doesn’t exist, but he was pretty excited to see if he could kiss him.

                Chanyeol smiled his big Cheshire smile before leaning down to kiss Baekhyun. EXO clapped behind them as Baekhyun blushed redder than the ornaments. Chanyeol held Baekhyun’s hands and smiled.

                “Merry Christmas Baekkie. I love you.”

                “I love you too you tall derp.” Baekhyun teased.

                At age 17, Chanyeol for sure doesn’t believe in Santa anymore, but that doesn’t stop him from acting like his silly, childish self. During Christmas that year, his parents were away in Japan on business, so he was doomed to spend Christmas alone as Chanyeol was an only child. So, as tradition calls for, he asked EXO over.

                Once the party was over, he held his boyfriend’s hand. “Baekkie, can you stay over?”

                “What’s wrong? Afraid of sleeping alone?” his boyfriend teased.

                “Yes, can’t sleep without you in my arms.” Chanyeol grinned, lifting Baekhyun up bridal style. They walked into Chanyeol’s bedroom and he let Baekhyun down on the bed, but not before kissing the boy passionately.

                “Hmm….Channie…” Baekhyun moaned as Chanyeol stuck his tongue in expertly. “It’s cold Channie…”

                “I can make it warm.” Chanyeol murmured back. He wrapped his arms around Baekhyun’s body. He snuck his warm hand under Baekhyun’s  sweater and he felt Baekhyun shiver.

                “Are you ready for this? I don’t wanna force you.”

                “I am ready Channie. Just do it. Give me a Christmas miracle tonight.” Baekhyun said, grinding himself against Chanyeol.

                That night, Baekhyun gave Chanyeol the best gift he could afford, his ity. And in return, Baekhyun got the warmest and softest touch from Chanyeol. He looked into Chanyeol’s eyes as his bursted through his body. Chanyeol’s eyes were full of warmth and love. He kissed his boyfriend sweetly as Chanyeol withdrew from Baekhyun, both panting from their high.

                “Did I hurt you?”

                “No. Felt good.” Baekhyun giggled. “This is the best form of warmth ever.”

                “I love you so much Baekhyun.”

                “I love you too Chanyeol.” The boy murmured. They kissed again and rolled around in the bed, making love for the second time that warm, wonderful Christmas night.

                After college, Baekhyun wanted to pursue his career as a singer, so he started singing in bars and coffee shops. When Xiuchen started their own café, that’s where he started performing full time. Customers loved his warm and soothing voice and he loved the atmosphere of the small café. Chanyeol went to work at his father’s magazine company, where he started as an intern. Chanyeol was due to take over his father’s company one day, but nonetheless, his father wanted to make sure Chanyeol knew how the company worked, even if he had to start from the very bottom.

                One thing that Chanyeol kept a secret to his parents was his relationship with Baekhyun. Chanyeol knew his parents were against their only son being gay. Chanyeol hardly took Baekhyun home, and even if he did it was always with friends. Baekhyun’s parents were different. They were loving and accepting of their son’s relationship.  Chanyeol sighed, why couldn’t his parents be the same?

                Nonetheless, nothing was going to keep him from Baekhyun. One Christmas, Chanyeol and Baekhyun had gone over to Tao’s house, since Tao insisted on having everyone over this time. Chanyeol was grinning with excitement. He had just gotten Baekhyun the best Christmas present over. He and his sweet Baekkie have always shared a special connection with this wonderful holiday, so it’s only right the most special present should be given today.

                “Did you get something for Baekkie, Channie?” Lay teased, while trying on the new sweater his dear Suho got for him. Chanyeol smiled and took out a tiny black box.

                “That’s it? It’s so tiny. You normally get Baekhyun something better.” Kyungsoo said, peering at the box. Baekhyun took the box, but you could see the frown lines appearing. Even he was a little disappointed.

                “Just open it.” Chanyeol urged. Baekhyun opened it and nearly dropped the box in surprise. Luhan screamed and Tao squealed. They took the box and stared at what’s inside. Inside was the most beautiful diamond band they have ever seen. Bright silver with diamonds encrusted and the words BAEKYEOL .

                “Baekhyun,” Chanyeol started. He took the ring and got down on one knee. Everyone stared in shock and Baekhyun clamped one hand to his mouth going “Oh my god oh my god…”

                “We’ve been childhood lovers ever since I can remember. And you remember how important Christmas is to us, so it’s only right for me to give you all my love on this wonderful day. Baekkie, will you marry me?”

                “Ch…Channie…I…mlohjkvgggsjgkw” Baekhyun buried his face in his hands, sniffing and crying uncontrollably. Kyungsoo wrapped an arm around his best friend. “What he means to say, Chanyeol, is that he would love to marry you, right? Kyungsoo shot Baekhyun a glare.

                “YES!!! YES OF COURSE I’LL MARRY YOU!!” Baekhyun yelped in glee. He wrapped his arms around his lover and Kris, Sehun and Suho cracked open confetti rollers over the couple and the sound of champagne bottles popping appeared from the kitchen. Baekhyun’s parents appeared with wine glasses and a bottle of champagne.

                “Congratulations son!” Bakhyun’s dad said with his arms wide open. “Dad!!” Baekhyun ran into his dad’s arms and Mrs. Byun went over to Chanyeol. “My new son-in-law! Give your mama a hug!” Chanyeol hugged his mother-in-law as everyone clapped their hands excitedly.

                “It’s a Christmas Miracle!!” Luhan cheered.

                “Yeah, now all we need is for me to win the lottery with this number and we’re good to go!” Kai stared at the TV screen, rubbing his hands in glee.

                “Kai, how many times did I tell you? 0614 is not going to cut it.” Kyungsoo said, slapping his boyfriend’s arm.

                “What made you buy the number?” Chen asked.

                “It’s a lucky number. Ask Kyungsoo.”

                “Why me?” Kyungsoo retorted, eyes as wide as an owl.

                “It’s the date of when we first met.”

                Kyungsoo blushed and the winning horse crossed the line. Kai pumped his fist in the air. “YEAH!! 0614 is number two!! I won something!” Kai picked Kyungsoo up and twirled him around in glee.

                “Can we go to Hawaii with the money?” Kyungsoo smirked. Kai kissed him and laughed. “Sweetie, with this money, we can go to Hawaii and even throw in three days two nights in Paris!” Everybody laughed as Baekyeol curled up in each other’s arms, laughing and smiling as fiancés. Chanyeol knew he had to deal with his parents sooner or later, but for now, on this snowy night, all he needed was Baekhyun.

                It was a Christmas miracle indeed.
