The EXO boys have always been together. Best friends through school and college. They’ve seen each other fall in love, fall out of love and even . Hey, they are close brothers.

                No one has been together longer than Sehun and Luhan. Luhan was born in China, but his parents moved to Seoul when he was a baby, promising to give their only son the brightest future possible. They just happened to move in the same neighbourhood as Sehun, and the two little angels went to the same kindergarten.

                It wasn’t always peaches and cream for them. Luhan thought Sehun was weird as a kid, and loved to pull his hair just to make fun of him. Sehun thought Luhan was a bully and hated the Chinese kid’s guts. It wasn’t until Sehun met some real bullies in the local playground that he realized maybe Luhan wasn’t all that bad. Luhan rescued the young boy by running off with him and hiding in the hollow tree trunk. After that was well, history.

                They sat together at lunch, and became really close friends. They had sleepovers and played together. Luhan’s parents thought Sehun was really adorable and was glad Luhan had found a friend. The two moved up to elementary school, where they met Suho. From Suho, they got to know the EXO gang, and hence the EXO gang was formed.

                Sehun confessed to Luhan during lunch in elementary school. Luhan had just been made fun of by some jealous girls who said Luhan was ugly. Granted, Sehun figured it was because the girls were jealous of Luhan’s beauty. He was comforting a crying Luhan when he offered his half-eaten tuna sandwich to the boy.

                “Luhannie don’t cry…want my sandwich?” he soothed Luhan.

                “*sniff*no…*hic*I feel ugly…*hic**sob*”

                “You’re not ugly. I think you’re pretty.” Sehun said.

                “Really?” Luhan lifted his tear ridden eyes and looked at his best friend expectantly.

                “Yeah. As a matter of fact, I think you are the most beautiful thing Sehunnie has ever seen.”

                “Really Sehunnie?” The Chinese boy lifted the corners of his mouth to form a smile.

                “Yeah,” Sehun took Luhan’s hands and rubbed them in his own. “I…really like you Luhan.”

                “I like you too Sehun.”

                “No, I mean as in, really like you. As in, like how Jack likes Rose.”

                “You mean in Titanic?”

                “Yeah…”Sehun blushed. Sehun and Luhan sneaked a peek at Sehun’s parents watching Titanic just a couple of weeks ago and Luhan kept ooh-ing and ah-ing every time Jack and Rose kissed. They couldn’t understand the movie much, they couldn’t understand why Titanic sank, but they remembered one thing: Jack telling Rose “I love you.”

              “Aw…Sehunnie!” Luhan draped his arms around the boy and kissed his little chubby cheek. “Luhannie likes you too.”

                From childhood sweethearts, to high school heart throbs. Sehun was the high school cool kid, while Luhan was the sweet one. Everyone knew they were together, so no one in high school did anything much to them. There was one guy who had the nerve to try and hit on Luhan, but Sehun sent him to the nurse’s office with a bloody jaw. No one tries to take Sehun’s Luhan. No one.

                In college, that’s where their romance got steamy. They lost their ities to each other one night in college, and since then, have kept as a part of their everyday life. It wasn’t to them though. It was love making. Sure they had some moments, but they loved each other in the end and that’s all that matters.

                EXO was there to see every development. From kisses, to s to , god forbid, EXO has seen it all. Almost, at least. Hunhan was inseparable.

                Another almost, at least.

                When Hunhan graduated, Luhan’s parents dropped a bomb on them, saying that they wanted to move back to retire and wanted their only son to follow. They couldn’t bear to be apart from their son, but neither could Sehun. Sehun was heartbroken. Luhan was his lifelong partner. He wasn’t ready to say goodbye. What’s gonna happen when he leaves? Who is he going to call? Who’s gonna take him for bubble tea? Who’s gonna cuddle with him and say he’s cute? Who’s gonna fight with him on who they think is the better football team, Manchester United or Liverpool?

                “You guys can still contact each other. It’s not the end of the world.” Lay tried comforting Sehun.

                “Yeah, you guys can still meet up. We’ll go over to China to see him and he can still come here to see us.” Suho said.

                “I guess, but it’s not going to be the same when Luhan hyung leaves though.” Tao said, eyeing Sehun worriedly.

                “I don’t understand. Why are they doing this to us?” Sehun muttered dejectedly, his head hanging down low.

                “Luhan’s parents have their own reason. You just have to respect it.” Kyungsoo said.

                “If you are really that upset, just tell Luhan.” Kris piped up.

                “Yeah. He deserves to know how you really feel, Sehun.” Kai said, joining in the conversation.

                “I can’t do it. I can’t tell him not to go. His parents want him to and I know he loves China. He loves being back there.”

                “But he loves you just as much, doesn’t he?” Tao softly said.

                Sehun felt the tears trickle down his cheek. “Yes. I certainly hope so.”

                “He does. I know he does.” Suho said. Sehun leaned against his hyung and cried softly. Everyone bowed their heads a little, knowing how painful it is for Sehun to be away from Luhan.

                And Luhan isn’t taking it any easier. “I don’t know how I’m going to be away from Sehun after all these years.” He told Baekhyun.

                “You know, you could decide to stay. We’re all gonna miss you, and it’s not just Sehun.” The brown haired boy said.

                “Baekkie, you know it’s not that simple.”

                “But can you cope with the distance?”

                “Sure. Maybe. I guess.” Luhan’s voice faltered a little, and Baekhyun sensed the bitterness in his voice.

                “Do you really need to leave?” Baekhyun tried again.

                “I…oh Baekkie…” Luhan started, tears running down his cheek.

                “What is it, Luhan hyung?”

                “I wish I never met Sehun.” The Chinese boy confessed, tears falling down even more rapidly.

                “Why would you say that?”

                “I wouldn’t have to feel this pain now. This…this…this sense of…” Luhan started sobbing in his hands. Baekhyun wrapped his arms around his best friend, whispering soothing words as they Chinese kid cried his doe eyes out.
