I layed myself on my bed. It was really cold, considering the fact that it was night and the weird weather we were having lately. Still, I didn't stand up and look for a sweater, or got inside the sheets of the bed. Too many things were going through my mind to care about that. As usual, I could hear the loud screams that were coming from my parents in the living room. Scratch that -- that were coming from my mother. I could just imagine my father, drunk, getting scolded by my mother who was probably getting physical on him, as I heard a couple of things break on the floor.

"TIFFANY!"

'Oh God, not again' I said to myself. My father left the house, again. He probably got tired from getting screamed at, and getting physical abused and go out to a bar. 

My mother, when she has this rage attacks, she always needs to let herself out on someone. Apparently this time, it was my turn. I started to mentally prepare myself for what was about to happen, as I heard the loud steps and cursing. It was as if a monster was coming up the stairs.

I stand up as she roughly open the door. "WHY DID YOU LEAVE YOUR BOOKS ON THE TABLE? I'VE TOLD YOU A MILLION TIMES THAT THEY DON'T BELONG THERE!" 

I started to get scared. Her face was red as an apple, and her voice was deep. She looked like a bull, and angry bull that was coming at me.

I took a deep breath to calm myself down before speaking. "I was studying for my test for tomorrow. I'm sorry mother, it won't happen again"

"I'LL MAKE SURE THAT IT WON'T" She said as she grabbed me by my hair, and dragged me out of my room and down the stairs, to let her anger out on me.

Sadly, this is my everyday life.
