Kris's POV

After I left Kai’s house I speeded towards the spot where I and Tao talked before. I felt so bad. By not telling Tao about his parents is like lying to him. Like Literally. I remember that day like it was yesterday. The day where Tao punched Kai right in the face.

~Flash Back~

“Ahh, so Tao...um… “I scratched the back of my head nervously. Holy ! I’m in my apartment with my Panda! All alone! Aish what if we ended up doing some y time…I smiled…and drooled a bit thinking of a Tao under me my name….ahh he would feel so ti-

“KRIS GEGE!” Tao smacked me across the head

“Ouch” I winced at the contact

“Gege! Look you started to drool! What were you thinking about gege? Was it food?”

“Oh huh?” I stared at Tao nervously as I didn’t want him to find out that I was thinking of erted things. It would obviously scare him away….

“I said were you thinking about food?” Tao tilted his head cutely as he asked me

“Oh ha-ha yes! Yes, I was. I’m pretty hungry” I walked over to my fridge to only find it empty….Tao peeks his head through the gap of my shoulders

and head and giggled.

“Arg I made such a fool out of my self! Stupid Yifan! Remember to buy food next time”

“Ge lets go out!” Tao smiled

“HUH!?” I look at him surprised

“I said lets go out to buy food”

“o-ohh” phew for a second I thought he was asking me out…I quickly grabbed my keys and wallet as Tao started to drag me out. When we reached my car Tao played with his fingers nervously and ask me if I had any secrets. I stared at him confused

“Why do you want to know Tao?” He slumped into his seat and pouted as he continued to play with his fingers

“gege! Friends are supposed to share secrets aren’t they?” He looked up and stared at me with puppy eyes.

“-cough- Well to be honest with you I may have some secrets” ARG! Why do you have to be so cute? I averted my eyes from making

eye contact with him

“Really?” Tao’s eyes brightened as he heard what I said

“Yes I do. But I’m not going to tell you unless you tell me your secrets. Okay?” I chuckled

“Oh. Okay” I could hear some hesitation in his voice

“But it’s okay if you don’t want to” I gave him a small smile telling him that it was okay for him to not tell me. But all he did was smile at me and turn his eyes back to the road. I didn’t realize that I almost hit a telephone pole until Tao screamed and steered the wheel back on

the road.

“KRIS! WE COULD HAVE DIED! PAY ATTENTION!” Tao glared at me

“SORRY Tao! Don’t be mad a gege!” I tried acting cute but all he did was laugh and told me to stop because I looked ugly

“Ouch! That hurt my feelings” He giggled and smacked my arms lightly. Oh god, his smile will always brighten my life any day. Hope it will never disappear. The rest of the way there was silent. But it was a comfortable silence.

As we arrived at the grocery store Tao jumped out of the car and started running into the Store. I quickly picked up my phone and locked my car and ran after him, as I arrived in the store I couldn’t see him so I started to walk around. After a couple minutes of walking around I felt a vibration in my pocket. I opened my phone and it was a message from Tao.

Kris gege~ guess where I am. Hehe ^-^ you will never find me ♥

I looked at the message surprised and smiled

I smirked as I pressed send. I already know where he is, I mean I stalked him for how long. Every time he comes here he goes to the cake section and stares at the cakes until he can decide which cake he wanted. I started walking towards the cake section when I felt my phone vibrate again.

Keke~ some place where it smells sweet! Good luck! J ♥

When I reached the cake section I saw him drooling at one of the cakes. I smiled and walked closer to him but I stopped and walked behind one of the display boards. I took out my phone and dialed Tao’s number

~ Kungfu beat ~

“Yeboseyo?”

“Hello Tao” I popped out from behind the board and gave him the most charming smile that have ever existed in mankind. He giggled and shut his phone.

“Gege! Come here” As I started to walk slowly he ran up to me and grabbed my arm before running back to the cake he wanted.

“Can you buy me one?” He stared up at me

“Okay, which one?” I smiled as he started to point towards the cake he wanted. I thought he was going to only pick one but my mistake.

He started to point to cake after cake. When he finally finished pointing I swear he picked about ten cakes or more and they were all Strawberry cakes.

“Tao? Could you just pick one cake?” I sighed

“oh-umm okay…” His eyes began to water as he pouted

“o-or you-you pick favorite cake 3 you likey?” props to you Kris! Nice Korean!

Tao giggles as he picked out his 3 top choices. I was happy he wasn’t going to cry and get cavities but he took forever to pick those 3 cakes. I don’t want to be mean or anything but I think he takes forever to just pick out 3 cakes. I’m not lying I swear we stood in the aisle for about an hour or so. After I paid for the cakes we got back into the car.

I decided that we should go home but he insisted on taking me to his secret hiding place where he tells his secrets and it’s a special place where he can think when everything gets to chaotic or when he gets a bit stressed. I then remembered that he was going to tell me a secret in return that I tell him a secret. When he made me drive up towards the hill I look at him weirdly.

“Tao there isn’t a road for me to drive up there” He sighed and pointed towards the left side where there was a road traveling up towards the top of the mountain. I turn my car towards the left side and make my way up the hill. The drive took about 5 minutes max, when we arrived I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was so pretty up here. You could see the whole city up here. You could see the sparkling lights that reflected off the ocean waters

It’s such a pretty view there were trees around this area and there was a little bench facing the city. This is a perfect place to relax and think about things that you can’t think about when there are a bunch of people around you. No wonder Tao comes up here, also it looks like no one comes up here so this is the perfect place. But…how have I not ever been up here before. I stalked him for so long and he said to me that he has been coming up here for a lot of things but how?

“Kris ge?” He smiled widely

“ye-ah?” I stared at him

“If you are wondering why you didn’t know I come up here is because I made a deal with your worker” I blushed and turned away

“Wh-aht do you mean?” I tried staring at him trying to look innocent but I guess it didn’t work because he giggled and hit me on my arm leaving a red mark, but it didn’t hurt.

“Gege you are such a horrible liar. I know you have been following me, but I didn’t want you to know about this place so I made a little deal

with your worker” Arg he know I stalk him, this is so embarrassing. I walked towards the bench and sat down. He followed me and sat down as well

“Don’t worry I don’t think it’s weird at all, it quite cute actually” I hid my head in my arms as he began to continue to tell me what he was saying before.

“So the little deal I made with your worker was that every time I went up there I would give him a few pictures of myself that I supposedly dropped” Arg so that’s why I started to receive picture so easily

“don’t worry gege, so you want to know my secret?”

“Tao you don’t have to tell me you know” I stared at him and he slumped back into the bench

“But I think that it’s better… because it takes the load off my chest” He sighed and continued

“ So I was abandoned by my parents no one wanted me, the orphan said my parents died but I know that they did not want me, I mean when I was at the cemetery I felt nothing, it was so empty that I began to cry. Other people may have thought that I was crying to my parent's death but I wasn’t I was crying because I was so lonely. And what makes it worse is that I’m gay and I only have 2 friends well now more but, I am such a loner. I can …never find someone. I mean who wants a loner, an abandoned person and to put it on top a gay abandoned loner. Why am I telling you this, I bet you already kno-“

I hugged him and started to gently pet his head, He broke into tears as he gripped my shirt tighter. After he calmed down I told him that he wasn’t abandoned, things happened for other good things to happen.

“you know Tao, there are people who like you”

“who? He stared at me with his puffy red eyes

“Me” I smiled

“wha?” He got off my chest and wiped attempted to wipe away the dried tears on his face

“I said I like you! So you don’t have to worry about anything” He smiled at me and began to cry in my chest and mumbled thank you to me.

“Kr-is?”

“Yes panda?”

“If you do know anything about my parents could you tell me?” I paused for a moment before smiling at him

“Of course I will”

“Pinky promise?” I chuckled at his child like behavior

“Pinky promise” We wrapped our pinkies together. He laid his head back on my chest and closed his eyes.

“gege?” He asked me while he closed his eyes.

“yes?” He opened his eyes and stared at me.

“can we stay like this for a while” I didn’t say anything and nodded, I knew he could tell that I nodded because he sighed and rubbed his head against my chest while wrapping his arms around my body. I wrapped my arms around his waist as he started to fall asleep

~Present time~

I know I shouldn’t tell Tao about this but I pinky promised him, and that isn’t a normal pinky promise. It’s a pinky promise that will help him out of his lonely dark hole. It’s that only thing that will make him smile more. And have less stress.

It will make him happier. And I want Tao to be happy but I can’t tell him. Just not yet. I drove my car up the hill and to my surprise I found Tao sitting on the bench. I quickly parked my car and grabbed a blanket before I ran up to him.
