Dazzle and Shine

** A/N: For Key's link, you can ff to 0:37.  For Joon's, you can ff to 1:00. **

The following night, Key went into work early.

Still in his fashion-forward civilian clothing, he made his way to the back of the club and through a couple of corridors until he arrived at the wooden double-doors to the owner's office.  He was about to knock when the door swung open, nearly hitting him in the face.

"Omo!"  Joon gasped, but it was quickly followed by embarrassed chuckling.  "Mianhe, Key."

The younger smiled, shaking his head.  "Kwenchanayo, Joon-hyung, but you better learn to control those grotesque muscles of yours.  You nearly knocked me on my ."

Joon feigned shock, rubbing his arms comfortingly, as though Key had hurt their feelings, then let out a huff.  "You're just jealous because you don't have tickets to the gun show!"

Key burst out laughing at the way Joon flexed with exaggeration.

Joon lost his composure and broke down laughing, as well.  "I feel like such a pabo now!  But I need these 'grotesque muscles' to get me up and down the pole."  He winked cheekily.

"Pfft!"  Key rolled his eyes.  "I'm nowhere near as muscular as most of you guys, but I still manage to get my petite, fabulous up and down the pole."

Joon hung his head in defeat, smiling.  "You got me there.  Anyway, looks like you were going to see the boss, so I'll catch you later."  He ruffled Key's hair affectionately, and took off.

Key faced the double-doors, and knocked.

"Come in!"  The familiar voice called.

Key pushed the doors open, bowing as he greeted his employer.  "Anyonghaseyo, sajang-nim."

The boss smiled warmly.  "Anyonghaseyo, Key.  What can I do for you?"

The dancer took a seat in one of the plush leather chairs.  "I was wondering if you could help me out with something, sajang-nim.  I have a bit of a problem.  Or rather, I know someone who has a bit of a problem."

The man's eyes squinted in confusion.  "O...kay?  I'm gonna need you to elaborate."

Key puffed out his cheeks, his face pensive, then expelled the breath.  "See, I recently acquired an unexpected guest in my apartment.  Some shy,  young, rich kid that got thrown out of his house by his family."

"Tough break."

"Arayo," Key nodded in agreement.  "Anyway, he's really down on his luck and has nowhere to go, so I'm letting him stay with me for now."

"And where do I come in?"  The boss inquired.

"I'm getting to that."  Key turned his gaze right into the man's eyes, pleading with his own.  "I was wondering if you would be so kind as to give him a job-- not as a dancer."

The man sat back in his chair, brow knitting.  He chewed his lip, brows raising.  "What kind of skills does he have?"

"I... I honestly don't know," Key admitted.

The boss leaned forward, fingers lacing on his desk.  "Well, we have an opening for a bouncer--"

"Ani," Key cut in, shaking his head.  "Trust me, that's not a good fit for him."

"Ok, how about as a waiter?"

Key's brows went up, his head tilting.  "That might be a good fit."

"Alright."  The man slapped the desk with finality.  "Bring him in tomorrow and I'll see about getting him started."

Key let out the breath he didn't even know he was holding, then smiled hugely.  He stood up, bowing repeatedly as thanks bubbled from his mouth.  "Thank you so much, sajang-nim!  Kumapsumnida!"

The boss laughed jovially, eyes twinkling.  "Kibum, you don't have to call me that.  You forget we're friends."

The younger giggled a little.  "You're right.  Mianhe, Onew-hyung.  Thanks again."  He shook his friend's hand and left the office.  The loud music filled his ears as he all-but skipped to the dressing rooms.

Club MVP wasn't some small, dingy, hole-in-the-wall place.  It was a very classy joint-- one of the nicest strip clubs in the whole city.

The employees who worked there were all protected and treated very well, from the dancers to the dishwashers-- Onew would have it no other way.

The patrons who went there, men and women alike, enjoyed the clean, posh, yet relaxed atmosphere they couldn't find at the seedier clubs.  They enjoyed the way their shoes clicked against the shiny, marble tiles of the floor, and sitting in the plush chairs that surrounded small tables, as well as the few stages in the main room.  The club also had a smaller, dimly lit area upstairs where they could watch fully dancers, or use one of the small nooks for a private dance.

Yet, while the patrons enjoyed the tastefully lavish ambiance, that wasn't the main reason they went there.

Club MVP boasted some of the most attractive, yummy men (and, once overy other month, women) that Korea had to offer.  Skilled, y dancers that could turn metal into liquid with just a look from their smouldering eyes.  Men often found themselves constantly re-adjusting their pants, and women had been reduced to tears and wet -- eagerly parting with chunks of their paychecks all the while.

Makeup done and clad in small, tight, black silk shorts, suspenders and y boots, Key checked the rotation list and saw that he was starting on one of the smaller, side stages.  He made his way there and climbed up.

He closed his eyes as he felt the music - a fast, aggressive beat - work its way into his veins, then let his body fall into the rhythm.

His hips gyrated.

His arms popped and locked and s.

His body bent.

His derriere shook.

Some bills were tossed onto the stage, others being held in hands or teeth, waiting to be collected by the onyx-haired minx.

And they were.

Key collected each bill, sometimes with his teeth; sometimes with his hands; and sometimes suggestively holding his waistband open for the money to be deposited there.  He'd blow a little kiss or throw a y wink, as thanks, then sashay away.

Much later, it was Key's turn on the main stage, a huge, wide platform with three poles.  He smiled as the other two dancers, Joon and Rain, took their positions at the poles aft and to either side of his.

He'd been dancing for a few years now, so he barely needed to concentrate as he opened up with a few smooth, simple moves.  Whenever he was on stage with these two, he would silently marvel at their unique styles, power and iness.

Rain moved with calculated, sharp movements, and hip s that could stop a spectator's heart.

Joon had a more flow-y, undulating style that dripped -- especially when he started dry-humping the pole.

When all three of them shared the stage, it was enough to make people flatline.

After a long shift of dancing his off, Key collected his pay and headed out the door, calling goodbyes to his co-workers.

He couldn't wait to tell Taemin about the job.

** A/N:

I tell you what-- it's a wonder my nose didn't start gushing blood as I watched those clips! >.<

Anywho, yes, Onew is the owner of Club MVP (you see what I did there? XD).  But back when I started jotting down the ideas for this story, I just knew that Joon and Rain would have to be strippers, and now you see why.  Haha, Joon is on the pole so often, it might as well be an OTP.  :P

By they by; I don't post a lot in the way of kpop, but feel free to follow me on tumblr, if you like. :)

I meant to write more in this a/n, but it's late and I'm very tired.  If I can't post tomorrow, I hope everyone has a safe, splendorific whatever-you-celebrate-at-this-time-of-year!

Thank you all for reading, don't forget to comment and subscribe! **

Chapter 18: Key and Taemin's friendship is really sweet, I love how Tae wants to protect Key after all he's done for him <33 I'm so jealous of TaeKey's spa day, I'd kill for a chance to do that after all the stress college puts me through. I'm excited to see how Jonghyun's going to makeup with Key... Looks like Jjongie's going to need to pull out all the stops :P I have noticed that there isn't as many people as before that are on AFF now, which makes me sad because this site has such great stories, authors, and readers and it's been such a big part of my life for awhile... I'm going to miss all the people that left but if the new sites are similar in layout to AFF, I'll probably consider moving there myself. Anywho, I can't wait to see how Key styled his hair and his interaction with Jonghyun next chapter ;D
