Chapter 3

Bang!

He raised his hand up, then touches his rosy cheek that was being slapped by Yuri and quickly put his hand into his black formal trousers’ pockets. The boy’s face that is cold as an ice statue started to melt with a smile that slowly occurred to his lip, with his eyes soften a little as before because he is by himself.

Who said that Choi Minho is a cold heartless guy? That’s not true at all. He is just a regular guy with a lot of emotion like any other people, but due to his duty and his occupation that he is standing make him decide to close the door, the door that will lead people to see his true emotion, until now it’s turning into his habit. Hiding his personality. A habit of acting cold, and fearless, forcing himself to be heartless with an eye that is cold as ice, not letting out any emotion, not even a little.  But no one knows that there are times when that door have slightly opened up especially when he has to face Miss stubborn, hot headed, selfish, and very rude.

Miss Yuri, the girl that ran away from him. He can sill remember her eyes that is filled with hatred, anger, and grudges every since the day he took what she think is the love of her life away right in front of her.  She hates him more than anything in this world, and he know that really well. But that doesn’t make her strong enough to face him, and deal with her problem toward him. She a type of girl with a big mouth that always seems to keep insulting people non-stop until she felt like she have hurt the person with her harsh word but really she is just a fragile little girl, with a soft heart, that is properly the reason why she decided to run away than turn around and fight and take the his life away too.  But really, if she have said at that moment that she want him dead instead of Taecyeon he would have use the same gun and take his life away right in front of her as well, if she would have ask.

Maybe…. His death can lead to his own happiness. Since at least he doesn’t have to stand seeing Yuri look and judge him like he is some kind of disgusting animal that everyone loves, and he doesn’t have to face the fact that she ran away from his life with him not be able to do anything to stop her since she is much…higher to reach.

But like what most of people say. Life will always play tricks on you, and now she’s back. But what if she wants to leave again? He doesn’t even know if he can let her go anymore and when that time comes, how can he take it?

At the same time in Yuri’s bed room.

Yuri stood still while leaning her back against the door, putting all her weigh on her back she slowly gliding down till she found herself sitting on the floor with a back against the door with tears that is welling up in her eyes and slowly flowing down her cheekbones, no longer she can kept the tears in her eyes, not even for a second.

No matter how long the times have passed, she is still a little girl who get vulnerable and scared very easily, and who will always lose to Minho.  Even though inside she felt like she want to rip him in half, and into shredded and left him dying with suffer from what he did to Taecyeon but she just doesn’t have the guts to do any of those things. She doesn’t even have the guts to refuse his order and break the rules that he demands her to follow. Just thinking about his cold eyes that will always on be on her, making her heart shakes like how a little kid would have felt when they were being told off by an adult for breaking the rules.

Weak! She is too weak, and that is something she could not be forgiven.

“Uhuh-huuu” The girl let out her crying noise quietly while she is trying to control it from going any louder since people might hear it, especially Minho. “I’m sorry, Taecyeon…. I don’t have the guts to take revenge for you…. Huuu I’m sorry huu”

Rrr Rrrr…

The sound of her phone that vibrated started increase caught her attention and make her jump a little before she looked over to her expensive hand bag that is placed on her soft bed. She decided to ignore the call since she’s not in a mood to get up and answer the call from who ever that is calling her. Yuri lower her head down and rest it on the top of her knees while she’s hugging it, and let out her quiet whimper.

As she thought the phone have stop vibrated, the noise that she heard 2 minutes ago have once again be heard, and yes it is her phone vibrating from receiving a call, but like before Yuri is still sitting there with her face down her knee not moving or thinking about picking up her phone, until the phone is in silent. But it only takes about thirty second for the phone to vibrate again, Yuri still remaining on the same spot until the sound have stopped before it start vibrate again once more…

“Urgghhh! For god sake!” The noise started to make her become a little irritated. She stood up quickly before she start stomping her feet toward the phone.

She grabbed the phone harshly and pick up the caller without looking at who was on the other line, talking to her.

“What do you want!”

(Hello? Hey! Is that you Yuri? You’re back from England now right?)

The soft tone of voice that went through the phone signal not paying attention to the fact that Yuri might have shouted through the phone with anger.

“Yoona?”

(Wow! You remember me) The voice that was brighter than anything can immediately tell that it have changed into a voice that is a little upset. (Ya Yuri~ah… It’s quite upsetting that you haven’t called me ever since you come back… If I don’t know uncle Sung Ki I’ll probably be on my way to the airport and fly all the way to England and see you! But then that’ll be a waste of money because you’re here now in Seoul)

“Daddy told you that I came back?” Yuri smiles a little from hearing her best friend’s voice. She sat on her bed while wiping away her tears.

(Well the thing is I was begging your dad to make sure to pass the news to me when you are back from England… So I can come and see you! So uncle Sung Ki agree with it, and he wanted me to come and see you as soon as you are back since you’re might get lonely… I mean, you have been out of your friend zone for three years)

“Really?”

(Yes really! But then you haven’t call me … didn’t even mention anything to me about you coming back….)

“I only just got here this evening, and then daddy suddenly decide to go to Alabama, so I couldn’t really do anything straight, you know?”

(Waa… Knowing this I should have left you dead from loneliness)

“Trust me I won’t be dead because of that… but I’ll be dead because of how much I cant stands a certain person!”

The girl stop talking as her thought has brought her to thinking about him, his cold lifeless face making her boiled up once again.

(Why… What happened?) Yoona ask with worries.

“I just can’t stand someone, if I have to stay in a house where there’s him all the time I’ll be so uncomfortable I’ll probably die or something. Ha, talking about this makes me so mad is unbelievable. I hate him so much oh my god! Thinking that you’re all big when really he’s just a piece of trash!”

(Jesus…. A bit harsh don’t you think?... I wonder who this ‘trash’ is to make Miss Yuri Kwon so angry and hate)

“Forget about him. That person is way to less important to be on a topic for us to talk about”

(Wow… If you hate that person so much why don’t you just ask some hit man to get rid of him then? Hahahaha)

Yuri was draw back a little as soon as she heard that sentence from her beloved friend. But at this time inside is just filled with anger, actually her whole body is still shaking a little since she is steaming in anger.

Maybe that’s not a bad idea?

“That’s not a bad idea. Do you know any skillful hit man out there?”

(Ya… I’m a nice person you know) Yoona said playfully not taken it serious, but she couldn’t help but think if the other person is being serious or not. (But if you want some advice on those things why don’t you ask Taeyang? Do you remember him? He’s the son of mafia leader called Hong Dong Ki, he’s the one that always trying to make you his girlfriend and keep bothering you until he ending up got his kicked by your bodyguard … Minho is it? Oh speaking about him, is he still working for your dad? I want to see him again hehe)

“Yeah, he’s still working here” Said Yuri while grinding her teeth a little.

(Really? Yay I’m so happy! Then I’ll come and see you tomorrow, I’ll probably go and make some muffins for my shining armor too, hehe)

The girl that is listening to the conversation, couldn’t help but squeeze her hand that is by her side tightly, while forgiving Yoona to the fact that she just compliment the guy she hate the most in the world, for telling her how much she admire his handsomeness, and how charming he is because she doesn’t even know what he did to Taecyeon. And that is because of her father’s power as well, the power that is protecting his favorite bodyguard and let the news out saying that he’s the one who shot Taecyeon because of disagreement about the dark market business.

But none of that is true, and Yuri knows it. Her father didn’t fire that gun but it was Minho, because she was right there watching Taecyeon fell to the ground.

(So I’m going to go and see you tomorrow then okay?)

“Okay. Then we’re go out and get something to eat after”

(Is your bodyguard coming as well?)

“Yoona I couldn’t help but thinking that you don’t want me there with you..”

(Hey! It’s not like that…)

“Doesn’t matter. Now my daddy is going to Alabama, he told Minho to look after me while he is away at all time, so don’t worry you have plenty of time to seduce him”

(Are you crazy? Did you even realize what you’ve just said…. I love it!)

“Okay I’ll talk to you tomorrow then, I’m a bit tired right now, didn’t get any sleep at all on the plane”

(Oh my god Yul! Twelve hours on the plane and you haven’t got any sleep?! What were you doing with all those times huh?)

“Just…watching movies, and listening to music” The girl response with a short answer since what she is saying is not completely true. She know well that during the flight she wasn’t doing anything else but laying down and thinking about coming home and how she’s going to have to face Minho once again.

Her heart was shaking the whole flight to the fact that she couldn’t even close her eyes and go to sleep or taken a short nap, that feeling felt like the first time when she first met Minho. Her father came back from Los Angeles and brought him back with him also. A boy has a lot of scabs and bruises, he seems like them trouble American kid who seems to be aware about everything as soon as he step his foot in the house and is eyes that shows his braveness and toughness in him. But making her… A little girl heart shakes for a weird reason, maybe is because of his dangerous look making her felt scared. 

(Mhmmm, such a long period of time for you to watch a movie and listening to music right) Yoona’s voice that spoke through the phone wakes Yuri up from her thoughts. Her childhood memory was gone in a blink of an eye.

“I’ll see you tomorrow”

(Okay, fine. See you tomorrow Yuri~ah Ba-bye!)

“Bye…”

Yuri pressed the end call button on her phone screen and sat down on her edge of her bed and stare at her phone in that position. She looked at her phone with a dreamy eyes as if her thought is not in the world anymore, not knowing that the time have pass by. But yet she still sits in the exact same spot like about thirty minutes ago. The thought in her head are too much to handle, she felt like they are hitting each other, so many decision to make, she couldn’t think about it herself, but she couldn’t exactly go and ask for anyone for an advice since it is something not to be talked about. Not even to her best friend. Ever since she sat down on her bed, the sentence that Yoona’s said on the phone echoed inside her head ever since, and it appears to stuck in there.

…’ Wow… If you hate that person so much why don’t you just ask some hit man to get rid of him then? Hahahaha’…

Kill someone…

Them sort of things… She wouldn’t be able to do it…

…’ But if you want some advice on those things why don’t you ask Taeyang?’…

No. She can’t do it. She can’t kill anyone.

But… But he killed Taecyeon. He killed the guy who is about to marry her. He killed the guy who will get her out of here. He killed…

Just kill him! Get rid of him!

One of her thought that is filling with grudges shouted inside of her head. The thing that he did to her is something that cannot be forgiven, he killed Taecyeon knowing that he was about to get married to her in two months. Is because he think he’s is big, and lost in his power. He probably thought that having her father’s supporting whatever he does making him not afraid of anyone. Forget the fact that he was just a kid from a slum at Los Angeles but he dare to take all the love and trust away that her father has on her.  This is not just because he killed Taecyeon, but he also take her father away from her. A person like him should… die…

Bu…But she can’t do it! She can’t order to kill anyone!

Her other thought louden in her head making the other go away. Even though she might have so many grudges on him, but she has never once order to kill anyone. She might not be the sweetest girl in the world, she might be selfish, get jealous very easily and can get very vicious sometimes… But killing someone is…

“…Taecyeon”

Her tears started building inside her eyes once again as she think about them sweet word that Taecyeon would always say to her. He promises her as soon as they are out of here, he will look after her very well. Look after her, making her happy, making her smile everyday as soon as she wakes up, making her breakfast in bed every morning, making her the happiest women in the world.

But… Minho… he took all that away from her!

Her finger started moving a little without knowing, the eyes that is filling with tears that is still looking at the phone which is blurry in her mind not knowing, but that was before she press something on her phone screen and put the phone by her ears.

Tuud...Tuuud...Tuuuud

The sound of a call being waited to be answer is still running, while the girl wanted to hung up the call but for some reason her hand wouldn't do as she want, until the sound of the waiting call have stopped…

(Oh wow! Hey there beautiful… I never thought of a day when you will be the one ringing me first)

His flirty tone of voice and the way he speaks makes her become irritated, and yes she remember who he is.

“…Taeyang”

(Aww, you miss me huh?) He said with a voice that is filling with a thought that he thinks he is better than everyone, which is not true at all. A person like Taeyang has nothing to be better, or bigger than Yuri. But that is not the reason why she rings him.

“I… need you to help me with something” Yuri bit the lower of her lip not wanting to say anything else since she just feel disgusted talking to him, and wanting to finish the call as soon as possible since she know well what she is about to do is the worst thing anyone would ever do.

(What is that then gorgeous? Tell me. I promise to do the best I can for you)

“I…”

Don’t say anything else. There is no way she can do it! She can’t kill Minho!

(Well what is it? What do you want to ask me babe?)

Yuri close her eyes while her finger slowly move toward the button that will end the call. But suddenly the voice manage to break through her head, it is the same voice.

…’I love you so much Yuri. Will you marry me?’…

The grudges that are deep in her heart from all these years are now exploded, like a volcanic eruption. She slowly opens her eyes again. But the eyes that at the same time she has spoke seems to be a completely different person.

“Help me… kill someone”
