The sky was beginning to darken. There, in the field, stood a glorious tree. Energy reverbrated through the barks, its roots upholding the whole universe. It seemed to shine in the darkness.

Suddenly, there was a roar of thunder, and darkness began to swirl around the Tree of Life. Mother Nature, awakened from her deep slumber by this sudden disruption, furrowed her brows in a thought. Suddenly, she gasped.

Twelve men stood surrounding her, appearing out of nowhere, in black long cloaks and grim expressions. They answered to her call.

Mother Nature whimpered. "T-the Evil," she stuttered. "They are going to destroy the Tree."

The wood surrounding them suddenly began to darken. There were already some parts that are black. Lifeless. Dead.

One of them gritted their teeth. There, wrapped on his hand- a fine silver jewelry, it's charm shaped like a star. "There's no other way."

All of them nodded mournfully. Mother Nature looked bewildered. "What have you been planning to do? I demand to know."

Mother, a voice said inside her head. Split the tree in a half. Create a new world, turn back time. Re-birth us.

Now it was Mother Nature's turn to be horrified. "No." she said loudly. "No. I refuse to!" She shrieked.

You have to, another voice commanded. Or else we would be in pieces. The world will be destroyed. Evil will rule the world.

Mother Nature sighed a long, deep breath. She looked at them one by one, their faces grim with a tinge of determination. She counted the possibilities if they didn't do it. She closed her eyes.

Horrible images tortured her. The Tree of Life left there to rot, its beautiful leaves eaten by fire, the river below it dried, filled with empty cracks of the ground. People were surrounded outside it, fighting a bloodied war, in their faces a maniacal smirk. In the air, cackles of distorted laughter was heard. Scattered around them, the Guardians lay dead, eyes blank, life drained from their soul. The clouds were black, and the skies were crimson red. She opened her eyes in fear, and see them, the Guardians, exchanging a pitiful smile with her.

"T.. take your places." She said hesitantly, her voice cracking.

The men shuffled according to their direction. Mother Nature walked to the center of the glorious circle, depicting the sun and the moon, and twelve symbols surrounding it. It was an intricate design, a symbolism of the guardians that protected the universe. She stood there uncertain. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and emptied her mind, trying to reach the subconscious side of her.

"It is time," Mother Nature chanted as she opened her blank eyes, her voice deep, with no life. The person that stood there was a completely different person. "It is time we take the risk, the risk to protect the universe, a risk to prove ourselves that we are not weak, that we are strong, that we can and must protect the universe. We shall succeed, as we are the Guardians of everything at anywhere and anytime, and we shall prevail."

There was a sudden horrifying chuckle that reverbrated through the skies. The men worked hard to not let the sounds outside disrupt Mother Nature's concentration, building a mental wall inside her mind.

"We shall save the Tree of Life, because that is our one and only goal, and we will succeed, we will prevail, as we are the ones with grim determination."

It has started. The ground shook ever so slightly, and the circle begun to lit. One by one the men put their hands in front of them, starting a line that connects to the center of the circle, which is where Mother Nature stood. A Wave of Elements began to swirl around them. The wind, the water, the fire, the ice, the thunder, the ground, the light, the darkness- you name it. And then there was wisps of white smoke following the wave, seeming otherwordly and unusual.

"-evil will be destroyed, and we shall finally live in peace." Mother Nature finished. The men looked at eachother uncertainly, and then one of them nodded. It's now or never, he said telephatically.

"Careless, Careless. Shoot anonymous, anonymous.
Heartless, mindless. No one who care about me?

Careless, Careless, shoot anonymous, anonymous.
Heartless, mindless. No one who care about me?"

They continued to chant, making the ground shake and the light grow, blinding the surroundings. The Wave of Elements grew bigger and bigger, picking up it's pace. They completely focused on the chanting, their eyes closed for maximum concentration.

They didn't notice that one by one, they disappeared, and then the light took control, until there was only a blank, white world left.

Time has been reversed.
