After few weeks, everyone is set to go to celebrate Kimmy’s 16^th Birthday. This day Kimmy’s doesn’t know what to feel, after two years she is going to face everyone again. Faces that will remind her of her parents, she doesn’t know what to say or what to expect.

Especially after she overheard her Tita Vangie talking to her Tito Randy about Gerald, Yes, Gerald she remembers, Gerald is at the Philippines right now. She heard the entire phone conversation:

Vangie: Randy makes sure that your son is available for Kimmy’s Birthday. Make sure that you put this into his head.

With that conversation, Kim knows that she is going to face Gerald again and she knows that it won’t be easy. She doesn’t know how Gerald feeling towards everything since she becomes the responsible of his parents.

Kim wakes up early to get ready for the flight, Vangie, Yaya Pokwang and Mang Bert, they all flying to Manila today.

Ate Pokwang: Kimmy have breakfast and make sure you have your passport; did you bring your Citizenship Card too?

Kimmy: yes Yaya.

Vangie: Good Morning Iha. Hay, you’re so beautiful, I love your face without make-up. (Then kiss her)

Kim: Thank you Tita (smile)

Vangie: For sure RJ’s is so excited to see you again.

Kim: just smile (she knows that her Tita Vangie is just trying to make her feel at home when they got to Philippines)

After the long flight, finally they got to NAIA. Only the driver went to pick them up. No Randy and No RJ.

Gedo: Good afternoon Ma’am Vangie

Vangie: good afternoon Gedo (then whisper saan si RJ?)

Gedo: Hindi sumama at may pupuntahan daw na importante.

Vangie: Ganon ba, oh sige lets go. Kim iha this way.

Kim: (pretending didn’t hear the whole conversation of Manong Gedo and Tita Vangie) yes Tita.

After two hours of traffic they finally got home.

Kim: Tita one thing I miss sa Pinas is the traffic hehehhe. I almost forgot kung gaano ka traffic dito.

Ate Pokwang: Hay Kimmy ha basta every time na aalis ka hindi puede na hindi ako kasama.

Vangie: Dapat lang Pokwang, hindi naman kami papayag na lalabas yan na walang kasama.

Kim: (secretly give Yaya Pokwang a be quiet face) talaga naman heheheheh

Vangie: Okay Kimmy you can take a rest if you want or eat. Are you hungry?... Mang Bert, kausapin mo si Gedo kung anong car ang sinabi ni Randy na maging service ni Kimmy….. kaya pa ba mag drive dito sa Philippines?

Mang Bert: Opo Ma’am Vangie kayang kaya naman, sige puntahan ko na si Gedo.

Vangie: And Manang Lourdes ikaw  na bahala kay Yaya Pokwang, she is staying in the room next to Kimmy.

Kim: Tita, Yaya Pokwang can share room with me.

Vangie: Don’t be silly iha; this house has 8 bedrooms for sure everyone can have a room.

Manang Ludz: And Day Kim, tama lang yang para meron kang privacy (para maka pag private time kayo ng alaga ko)

Ate Pokwang: Ano sabi mo Manang Lourdes?

Manang Ludz: wala sabi ko syempre she needs privacy ‘di ba?... yan English yan ha.

Vangie: oh sige na, mag rest na para maka pag dine out tayo later Iha.

Kimmy: yes Tita.

Kim went to her room to have a rest while the two Manang Ludz and Ate Pokwang spend time to catch up.

Manang Ludz: Hoy Poke hali ka nga ditto chika tayo.

Ate Pokwang: Manang Ludz naman, si Pokz na ako ngayon wag na Poke.

Manang Ludz: O sige Pokz na, basta halika dito bigyan kita suman and coffee tapos kwento ka update mo ako tungkol kay Kimmy….(talking to the rest of the helper) mga inday doon muna kayo mag linis sa labas, kami na ditto ni Ate Pokwang nyo.

Ate Pokwang: Bakit Manang Ludz ano ba at excited na excited ka? Bakit ano ba mayroon?

Manang Ludz: Wala naman, natuwa lang ako at sobrang ganda ni Kimmy ngayon laki ng pinag bago nya ha, dalagang dalaga na….may boyfriend na ba?

Ate Pokwang: Syempre naman mana sa akin, ako ata ang nag aalaga dyan heheheheh

Manang Ludz: Sira, buti nga hindi nag mana sayo kamo heheheh …peru Pokz walang biro, may boyfriend na ba?

Ate Pokwang: Manang naman, syempre wala, talagang mabait yan tutuparin yata talaga ang promise sa mga parents (peace on their soul) na hanggang walang 18 wala rin boyfriend.

Manang Ludz: Hay salamat naman, at least may chance pa ang alaga ko.

Ate Pokwang: Naku Manang Ludz ha, ayaw ko sa alaga mo, masyadong chick boy.

Manang Ludz: Hoy indi ha, habulin lang talaga peru walang serious na relationship yon, wala nga girlfriend, siguro girls marami kasi sila ang naghahabol.

Ate Pokwang: Talaga ha, kaya lang nag papahabol din sya….at saka Manang Ludz, di ba ayaw naman ni RJ is Kimmy ko.

Manang Ludz: Ay hindi ah, syempre kasi hindi pa sila naka pag bonding but for sure pag nakita na ni RJ na dalaga na si Kimmy syempre dyan na yan mag sisimula.

Ate Pokwag: Ay bahala na basta ako 100% ko protectahan ang alaga ko.

Manang Ludz: Dapat lang yan lang naman trabaho mo ah. Heheheheh

The two trusted people in Chiu and Anderson life got a chance to catch up and share information about their pet. Manang Lourdes is Gerald’s long time Yaya and Vangie and Randy’s right hand. She makes the household decision when the Anderson couples are not around. And now that Kim parents are no longer around, next to the Anderson couple, Ate Pokwang is responsible for Kim.

Before Kim go to rest, she make sure that she talk to Robbie to let him know that she arrived today. Robbie knows about her birthday party.

Kim: Hello Robbie, I’m here na sa Pinas.

Robbie: Hi Kim kamusta naman ang flight mo?....ay thank you pala ha, nakuha ko na yesterday ang damit na gagamitin ko sa sweet 16^th party mo.

Kim: Okay naman ang flight ko, ay talaga nakuha mo na buti naman. Basta ikaw ang ko ha… pa pogi ka para naman hindi nakaka hiya.

Robbie: Ala Miss Chiu isang ligo lang wala silang lahat sa bestfriend mo…..oh Kim may request sana ako.

Kim: ano yon, ako ang may birthday tapos ikaw ang may request?....bago yan ha.

Robbie: aba naman muna ako tapos mag reregalo pa ako, talo naman yata ako nya.

Kim: oh sige sige ano na request mo

Robbie: kasi sana if its okay to invite my friend.

Kim: wow, girlfriend mo?

Robbie: hindi pa fiend pa lang, kasi sana may lakad kami sa party mo kaya sabi ko dyan ko lang sya dadalhin, you know tipid pa heheheh

Kim: talaga ha, oh sige sige ano name nya para ma add ko sa guest list.

Robbie: name nya?.....

Kim: yeah name nya….. don’t tell me you don’t know…

Robbie: sira syempre alam…Nicole…Nicole Uysiuseng

Kim: (surprise) Nicole Uysiuseng?....as Uysiuseng Pharmaceutical?

Robbie: Yeah, bakit kilala mo?

Kim: yes, our parents are used to be friend. Her Mom is a Doctor, how did you meet her?

Robbie: yes, I meet her in one of my science fair, natalo ko sya in one of the contest in science experiment.

Kim: Ok I’ll catch up with you later, I just need to rest I am so tired from the flight.

In no time Kim passed out, she was so tired she didn’t have a chance to change. Dinner time came and she is still asleep. Vangie, Randy and Gerald went for dinner outside without her.

Vangie: Pokwang, paki tawag kay Kim, tell her we are ready to go.

Ate Pokwang: Okay Ma’am.......(come back) Ma’am Vangie tulog na tulog ang alaga ko naawa ako na gisingin.

Vangie: Oh poor Kimmy must be so tired, okay we go ahead, just make sure that when she wake up she eats something.

After a very good straight sleep, Kim wakes up really early the next morning. She hit the shower change and get ready for her early run.

Ate Pokwang: Kimmy saan punta mo bakit an gaga mo ata na gising.

Kimmy: Yaya takbo lang ako para magka energy.

Ate Pokwang: Ah ganon ba sige tawagin ko si Bert kailangan samahan ka nya.

Kimmy: Okay I’ll wait na lang sa gate.

Kim runs for almost 2 hours within the subdivisions. She looks so stunning with her track pants and fitted workout tank top and a hooded sweat shirt. After a while she decided to go back, seat dripping all over her red face. As soon as she arrived she went straight to the kitchen to get a class of orange juices only to walk in into Anderson’s family conversation.

Randy: RJ. You know exactly what your Mom’s want you to do.

Gerald: But Mom, she didn’t give me a heads up, now its too late I already ask Nina to come, and I can’t let her be out of place for the party.

Vangie: RJ, you should know that without me telling you, Kim needs you to be her .

Then Kim decided to tell them about the plan she already had.

Kim: ehem… (Clearing ) good morning Tita, Tito (then look at Gerald) Ge….

Gerald: (was surprise to see Kim in front of him) …..Hi….(his speechless, he was stun how beautiful and y Kim is)

Vangie: oh Iha gising ka na pala, saan ka galing?

Kim: (kiss Vangie and Randy) maaga ako na gising kaya nag takbo ako para magka energy.

Randy: how is your run iha.

Kim: okay naman ho, kasama ko si Mang Bert.

Vangie: Oh ano RJ hindi mo ba welcome si Kim

Gerald: …(surprise) oh yeah, welcome home Kim. (get up and about to give Kim a hug)

Kim: thank you Ge, oh no its okay (refuse the hug) I am so sweaty…..Tita, Tito I was going to tell you…..

Vangie: what iha?

Kim: That I already ask Robbie, my friend to be my …..I know Gerald is a busy guy so I don’t want to put Him in that situation. (Smile to Ge)

Gerald: no it’s okay …..I can (didn’t finish what his about to say, Kim interrupted him)

Kim: Ge you don’t have to be nice he he he It’s me Kimmy, we always straight and honest to each other…..I know..(Smile) I don’t want you to be in trouble with …you know…(then in whisper)….your girls. He he he he

Vangie: oh well, if you already have decided then I guess that’s okay… okay RJ now your off the hook. He he he

Kim: Okay Tita, Tito I’ll just freshen up then Ill come back to have breakfast with you guys.

While eating the breakfast, Gerald doesn’t understand what He feels, his heart was about to jump out. His heart beat went up so fast and is ready to explode. He doesn’t hear any words his parents were telling Him. When all of the sudden he heard his Mom almost yelling at him.

Vangie: RJ what’s wrong with you? You have your mind somewhere else again.

Gerald: sorry Mom.

Then He is back to his thinking again, he doesn’t understand himself. He knows that somehow He is also excited to see Kim, after all she is his friend, but now that they meet again, He has these different feelings that He is not used to it, feelings he ever experience before. Just in time, Kim comes back dress in her short shorts and a y top.

Kim: Sorry again I’m late, next I know what time is the breakfast.

Vangie: no problem iha.

Kim: Tita, one more thing, is it okay to add one more guest for the party?

Vangie: But of course iha. Just give the name to Jenny.

Gerald: Me too Mom, coz Enchong cousin, Matteo is here for holiday so he asks if he can bring Matteo with Him….. Is that okay Kim? (Looking at Kimmy’s eyes)

Kim: yeah of course, I don’t have much friend so you can bring anyone you want. (Smile at him)

The whole breakfast, Gerald can’t stop stirring at Kim, he is not joining the conversation rather he choices to be spectator and just stir at Kim. He was so mesmerized how beautiful and y Kim is. Kim and Tita Vangie was so excited talking about the details of the party as if they are the only two people in the table until they decided to move to the living room and left Randy and Gerald still in the breakfast table.

Randy: Son, be careful, you might burn Kimmy with that look.

Gerald: (surprise) hah... what did you say?

Randy: (just smiling at his son’s reaction) she turns out to be a beautiful young lady hah?

Gerald: (just look at his dad and smile)

Randy: Son, I love Kim like a daughter, if one day you fall in-love with her you have my 100% support.

Gerald: (almost got choke) … what are you talking about heheheheh

Randy: (get up and give his son a tap on shoulder) c’mon you’re my son, I know you very well and I know that look…. Same look you have ever since every time you are with her.

With that comment, Gerald chooses not to say anything he knows that he can’t lie to his father, as he said he knows him very well. But one thing Gerald doesn’t understand, where is this strange feelings he has coming from. From where he is seating, he can perfectly see Kim’s beautiful face from the living room, a face he can’t help but to enjoy looking at it.
