[Yoseob’s POV]
 

2 o'clock a.m. Still no Doojoon. I seemed to suffer a bout of insomnia whenever he wasn’t around. Had I become that accustomed to having my Hyung asleep in the bunk next to mine. The others were fast asleep.  I suppose that’s why they believed the illusion that Doojoon returned in the middle of night. I suppose that’s all for the better. But I knew the truth. On nights like tonight, Doojoon doesn’t return until nearly sunrise. And every time he did, he seemed more worn out than the last. This had to stop. I couldn’t lose sleep over Doojoon any more. I had to find him and figure out why he was acting so strange.

I quietly descended the ladder from the bed above Kikwang, careful not to wake my sleeping friends. After choosing a hooded jacket from the closet, I slowly creaked open and close the front door. It’s time I got my answers, and the best place to start was where I last saw him.

[Doojoon’s POV]

 

Yet another one of these nights. I had already changed into some simple clothes and wandered out into the night. I looked up at the moon. Full, just as I predicted. I held my head as I entered the dark forest at the edge of the city.

“ Ow!” I bit my lip as I traveled onward. I opened my mouth and felt across the jagged teeth lining my mouth,stopping only inches from the front. “ They’re getting sharper”

My speed increased, gradually at first but soon exponentially. I found myself in a swift run moving further and further  into the forest. I stopped and sat down as soon as I reached a clearing. The moon was clear as day, the stars shining their lights as if they were only meant to illuminate this clearing.

I froze. My mind swarmed with thoughts; However, the main subject matter always dominated. I want to tell them. But I don’t want to scare them. Or worse, worry them. I knew Junhyung was a good leader in my absence, but he had to be curious, even if he won’t show it. Hyunseung has to be feeling the same. Dongwoon, Kikwang, especially little Seobie. I couldn’t help wondering if they’re worried. But I couldn’t tell them the truth. How would I explain it? With the memories of that night, still blurred in my head, I didn’t even know exactly what happened to me. But what’s done is done. I made my bed, now I have to lie in it.
