The Fourth Letter
A Collection of Letters || Short Story
Dear Key,
There’s people taking furniture out of your house. What’s happening? Is something wrong? You still haven’t written back. Mom doesn’t want to talk about you. She tells me “I need to get over it.” Over what? My best friend leaving? My brother dying? I honestly don’t know. I had the dream again. The one of the car crash taking place all over again. And I just see my brother’s head hitting the glass window. And the loud bump that followed. The next thing I know, I’m waking up in the hospital with my mom in a coma, my brother without life, and my dad leaving us. All in one second. And the only one that was there when all of that happened, was you. But where are you now, Key? Can you please tell me?
With Love,
Sunny
