Park Hyunae’s POV

“What do you really want?” I ask raising my voice irritated

“Be my girlfriend” Jonghyun said without hesitation. I was shocked for a second

“What? Be your girlfriend, just who do you think you are?” I said raising one of my eyebrows ‘control yourself Hyunae’ I thought

“Please. I don’t mean it that way. What I’m trying to say is. I’ll hire you to be my fake girlfriend” He said crossing his arms

I scoffed “ Excuse me? Do you think I’m that easy?!”

“That’s why I’ll pay you” he said with a shrug.

OK, that’s it. I felt my temper reached its high level.. He crossed the line with that. I didn’t even say anything. I just took a step closer to him placed my two hands in his shoulder and knee-kick him on his pelvis.

“OH! O-ouch!” he covered it with his hand as he jumped up and down. He raised one of his arms and pointed at me “What did you just do?!!” he said whining in pain “THAT HURTS! REALLY!” he shouted at me

I smirked and tossed my hair “Tch. I know” I turned around leaving him in his state

“YAH! COME BACK HERE YOU--! Aisht!”  Jonghyun tried to follow limping

‘Revenge is sweet’I thought as I made my way back to Choi-hee and Key.

Key’s POV

We waited for at least five minutes until I saw Hyunae walking back to us. Alone. I noticed her irritated but somewhat satisfied expression.

“Hyunae-ah” Choi-hee called out “Are you alright?”

 “Ne. I’m good” she answered “Let’s go home”

“Where’s Jonghyun?” I asked Hyunae

“Oh. That guy.. Well he’s in a bad state” she answered smiling a little

“Bad state?” Choi-hee asked

“Ne, you better look for him Key-sshi” she told me, until I saw Jonghyun’s limping figure not far away from us.

Hyunae turned her head to see Jonghyun then she grabbed Choi-hee’s hand “Um, we’ll go now, it’s getting late. Bye!” She said as she bowed and started walking fast with Choi-hee

I went to Jonghyun’s side as he straightened his posture and exhaled loudly

“Aisht! That girl!”

“You’ll make it work huh?” I said sarcastically. I nudged him “What happened”

“That girl kicked me on my you know!!!!” he answered looking exasperated

I tried not to laugh but failed.. I burst out laughing as I placed my elbow on his shoulder

“YAH! What kind of friend are you?” he said as he shook my elbow out of his shoulder

“I—I  t-told yo-you it’s not gonna w-work!!” I said between laughs.

“Aisht, let’s just go home” he said as he started walking. I followed behind him chuckling.

Park Hyunae’s POV

-AT THEIR CONDO-

I set the alarm clock at 5:30am in the morning before lying down on the bed. Choi-hee turned off the lights and lie down as well

“Let me guess” Choi-hee said “He tried to hire you to be his girlfriend” although I can’t completely see her face I know she’s smiling from the tone of her voice.

I placed my arm on my forehead “Yeah, how did you know?”

“Key oppa told me a while ago when you left with Jonghyun oppa” she said “I asked him if he knows an available job since you badly need one, then he told me about Jonghyun oppa’s offer to you.” She added

“That dino guy, who does he think he is” I said still feeling a little irritated

“Well, to be honest, I thought you’re gonna accept it, since you keep on looking for a job but there’s no open”

“How could you think that?” I asked shocked

“Well, I thought you’re desperate to look for a job” I felt her shrug

“I’am, but….” I stopped because I don’t know what to say “Are you trying to talk me into accepting this offer?” I asked her

“No, I’m trying to tell you that this is the only job you can get.. For now.. but as your cousin I don’t want to insist you on something you don’t feel like doing right? I’m just here to support you” she said

Choi-hee’s right, maybe I could accept this for now while waiting for a job opening.

“I’ll think about it” I said as I stifled a yawn then we both drifted to sleep.

-AT SCHOOL-

The teacher dismissed us as the school bell rang, I decided to go to the playground again to breathe in some air before going home. Choi-hee went to SM entertainment for training, so I’m alone as I sat down by the bench.

I closed my eyes as I thought about Jonghyun again. I mean his offer not him. I argued with myself whether to accept it or not.. After some time I finally decided..  ‘It’s my only option, guess I’ll do it.. for now’ I thought

I opened my eyes and shouted “FIGHTING!”

“YAH!” I turned my head and notice key standing beside the bench, I didn’t even notice him when I opened my eyes

“How long have you been here?” I asked

“10 seconds ago when you shouted ‘fighting’” he said as he copied my expression when I shouted “Anyway, Jonghyun told me to ask you again if you change your mind about what he told you” he said as he took of his shades

I put my head down and nodded, I felt embarrassed.

“Really?!” he asked surprise. “Ye.” I sighed as I thought of my bad luck

“Well, why not tell him now?” Key asked

“Umm. Hello? He’s not here” I said looking at him

“I know. That’s why I’ll bring you to our dorm, so that you can tell him now and start your act tomorrow” he said

“What? Are you crazy? I won’t go to the dorm of 5 five boys whom I don’t even completely know yet” I said standing up

“Don’t worry, we don’t bite…. Ask choi-hee..  We really don’t” he said smiling kindly

I examined his expression for a second before agreeing “Alright, but after I talked to him, I’ll go home right away”

He just shrugged “Whatever you want” he said “Oh but wait, Onew hyung, Minho and Taemin have nothing to do with this, they don’t know anything so you better keep your mouth shut” he said and I nodded

He led me to a red van. He tried to open the door but its locked so he knocked at the window, the door opened revealing a boy drinking a banana milk.

“Annyeong Hyung! What took you so long I’m hungryyyy I wanna go hooommme” the boy whined

“Mianhe, Taeminnie” Key said as he ruffled the guy’s hair

“Oh who’s that?” Taemin asked.. Two heads popped out as Taemin asked Key.

“Oh, she’s Choi-hee’s friend Hyunae” Key introduced me

“Hi Hyunae-ah” Taemin greeted me, Key shook his head “Aniyo Taeminnie, she’s your noona”

“Aww” he pouted ‘aigoo such a cute boy’ I thought “Hi noona” he bowed, I waved my hand as I smiled back at him

“Anyway Hyunae-ah this is Taemin our maknae.. And that one is Minho” Key pointed to the guy with big round eyes sitting at the back “And that is Onew hyung the eldest” he then pointed to the guy sitting in the front seat.

“YAH! I’m not that old” Onew said then grinned at me

“He said the ‘eldest’ not the ‘old man’” Taemin teased “Hyung don’t be so defensive” Minho said chuckling at his hyung.

Onew stuck his tongue out at the two youngest.

 “I told you, completely harmless” Key told me with a big smile.. “Get in” he gestured his hand for me to hop in.

I sat between Taemin and Key as the driver sped down the highway heading to their dorm.

“Noona, why are you coming with us?” Taemin asked looking at me questioningly..

If someone asked me that I might get offended with the approach of the question but Taemin has something I can’t describe that every noona will adore.

Before I could answer Key spoke “He’s Jjong’s girlfriend and she’ll visit him” he said casually.. I almost jumped out of my seat when Taemin, Minho and Onew burst into laughter

“HAHAHAHHA! YEAH RIGHT KEY” Onew said between laughs, while Key chuckled. Taemin and Minho we’re almost in tears because of laughing I can’t help but giggle as I watched them.

‘They all look so friendly, bright and cheerful’ I thought
