Amber pov

The year is 1862. That’s the year vampires came out into the human world and showed themselves to us. They took everything away in just one year. The vampires don’t respect us we are just food to them. If any human goes against a vampire not only does that person dies ( vamps too powerful) but the family is to suffer too. For years now I watch are kinds going up against these vamps, and all fail to escape from them.  My father was a sickly man. My mother died when I was born. He and I work labor for the vampires like all the other humans that work with us. Until he hurt his back from falling off from one of the platforms. When he fell the vamps just laugh, they didn’t even help him. The rest of the humans tried to go to him but the vampires stared them down. They were too afraid to go up against them. I ran to him but they stop me. They told me to go back to work. I fought them to get to my dad. He was injured badly. He needed medical treatment. They started wiping him. Telling him get up, he just stood there couldn’t even move.

“Dad!”

“Dad! “

“Please he’s hurt. He can’t get up! Leave him alone!!!!”

I hit one of the vampires in the nose.

“aa!”

I kick another in the ribs. Another vamp came after me. He used his wip and wip me in the chest.

“AAA!!!!”

He did it again and again.

“Amber……”

I look at my dad and he was covered in blood. He made his way towards me by crawling.

“Where you think you’re going you peace of !”

One of the vampire guards grabs my dad by his neck and lifts him up from the ground. Then they grab me by the hair.

“ Since you went up against a vampire. You are to watch your lousy father die right before your eyes. “

“Please. Don’t I’ll do anything you ask. Take my life instead!”

I started screaming at them. Once he started squeezing my dad neck tighter and tighter.  I tried to break free. His head pop off and rolled to me. Blood was everywhere. They release me and started laughing. Tears wouldn’t stop coming down my eyes. I couldn’t even move.  The rest of the slaves look away in horror.

“Alright boys play time is over; let’s get these humans back to work.”

“Right boss. Everyone back to work. I hope this give you guys a lesson not to go against us. We have only today to get this thing up before the ceremony tomorrow for Princess Krystal. If we don’t finish, all of you will suffer.”
