"Hey Luhan, we're going be friends forever, right?"

"Of course Sehunnie. I'll never let you be alone."

"Is that a promise?"

"Yes it is. I'll protect you until the very end. I promise."

 

The rain fell steadily onto the washed out pavement of a small and quiet street in Seoul. It was a street separated from the main roads, located between deserted white houses that looked too old to be standing in the modern era. The houses were encircled by fields of purple hyacinths and separated by foot high fences entangled with overgrown poison ivy vines. It was not a street that had more than a few visitors a year but it just so happened to be the street where a young teenage couple stood facing each other, holding the other's hands and drowning in the rain.

 

The two could not have been over twenty in age, the boy most likely in his late teen and the girl mostly likely in her mid teens. The boy stood at around 181 centimeters tall and wore black skinny jeans that looked loose on his thin legs. His collarbone popped out from his white tee-shirt, made transparent by the water falling from the sky. His dark auburn brown hair was wet and stuck to his face but could not serve as a distraction from the sharp stares of his naturally distant-like eyes. A smile was rarely seen on this boy's face- the most common expression he was seen with was a straightforward frown of disappointment supplemented by a few eye rolling moments here and there. At this moment he was frowning as well, but it was an expression not filled with disappointment but rather one filled with worry and concern.

 

The girl was about a head and a half shorter than her companion. She had black hair that reached a few centimeters below her shoulders, ending at the sleeves of her petite blue and white lace summer dress. She was quite thin herself, but while not as thin as the boy next to her, the proportions of her body in addition to her surreal face made all men and women look twice.

 

Her eyes showed no emotion though tears were running endlessly down her cheeks in unison with the falling rain. The boy could not tell if her behavior was genuine sadness or fraudulent pity yet he still felt a sense of obligated responsibility for comforting his companion. He let go of her hand and placed his own onto her shoulders as he slowly and gently pulled her body closer to his until he was able to fully embrace her small figure. He felt the coldness from her body being transferred into his own as he held her tightly as if he would hold onto her for an eternity.

 

"You shouldn't hold a girl like this unless you want to be with her forever," she whispered as she tried pulling herself away from him without success. He would not let her break lose from his embrace. "Let go of me," she demanded.

 

"I'm not going to let you go," he replied gently. "I'll never let you be alone again, Princess."

 

"You're lying," she cried. "Sehun... you're a big liar."

 

"No. I'll protect you until the very end," he whispered slowly. "I promise."
