Chapter 33

Guardian of Hell & Guardian of Hell 2: From Hell To Heaven

Jessica was almost done. She wasn’t really sure where did this romantic side of hers come from or even when, but she was happy with herself. She knew it’s all Yuri’s fault. She changed her. She became more cheerful, gentle and she wasn’t making fun of Tiffany anymore. Or at least not a lot. She checked the time. Still four more hours till midnight. Till Yuri’s birthday. Jessica just finished decorating house, when Tiffany entered the room. Tiffany was helping her with some more surprises for Yuri.

“Wow, this is so pretty! I really like this!” the angel said, looking around.

“Yeah, I think it’s quite nice too,” Jessica smiled. “When are you bringing Yuri back?”

“I was just about to… Or do you need more time?”

“No, not really, I just need to change my clothes and put on some make up,” Jessica smiled, cheekily. “Could you bring her back right at the midnight?”

Tiffany nodded. “Sure, no problem.”

“She won’t be tired, right?”

“No, she shouldn’t be. She might be talking with Yoona for more than 24 hours already, but technically her body is sleeping. So she should be perfectly fine.”

Jessica nodded. “Okay, so see you in few hours. Mhm, could you please appear without your windy asthma-causing tornados? I’m thinking about decorating basement as well and you would mess it up.”

Tiffany pouted, thinking. “I assume I can ask Gyuri again… I’ll bribe her with a new lipstick or something like that.”

Jessica rolled her eyes. “Shallow people.”

“Maybe shallow, but capable,” Tiffany shrugged.

“Thanks a lot,” Jessica smiled. “The thing we talked about earlier… will it be fine? Can I count on you?”

Tiffany nodded. “Everything is ready. Anything for you, sweetie.”

Jessica was waiting impatiently. Minutes passed, hours passed and suddenly it was already 11:53PM. She checked herself in the mirror (again) and fixed her hair (again). She looked perfect but in her eyes it was just not perfect enough. She was sleeping until 11PM. She eventually changed her mind about decorating the basement. First off all, she wanted to have a rest. Well, not that she hasn’t spent in bed the entire week. But she just wanted to be wide awake for Yuri. And also she realized it will be much more shocking if Yuri sees only after she opens the door.

She saved Yuri’s word documents and turned off her laptop. Then Tiffany appeared with Yuri’s soul next to her.

“Oh, Jessi, but you said you want to-,“ Tiffany looked around, confused.

“I know what I said,” Jessica frowned.

Tiffany pouted. “You owe me a lipstick.”

Jessica nodded. “Yeah, sure, whatever, I already owe you a lot, so this one is not even important. Now return my Yuri back and go away.”

Tiffany nodded, knowing exactly what Jessica is talking about. “Sure thing.”

It took around a minute for Yuri to wake up in her own body.

Tiffany waved them, smiled at Yuri, mouthed “lipstick!” to Jessica and disappeared in a windy tornado. The wind was really strong this time, Jessica was almost sure Tiffany did this on purpose to destroy her hairstyle.

“Aish…” she gritted her teeth. “That girl, is she for real?”

“Sica!” Yuri hugged her wife. “I missed you.”

“I missed you too, baby,” Jessica hugged her back. “How’s Yoona?”

“She’s fine… she has some love problems, but yeah, she’s doing fine,” Yuri smiled. “It’s really nice to touch somebody again.”

“I’m glad you’re back,” Jessica winked. “Let’s get out of this ugly basement.”

“It’s my lab!” Yuri protested, but she let Jessica lead her to the stairs.

Jessica stayed behind when Yuri walked up the stairs and opened the door. The lights in the whole house were off and Jessica just turned off the light in the basement lab too. So only tens of white candles on the floor were illuminating the path from basement lab to the living room.

“J-Jessica?” Yuri stuttered, shocked.

“Keep walking,” Jessica just ordered quietly, still standing few meters behind Yuri.

Yuri took several steps forward and soon she reached the living room. There were candles and rose petals all over the place. The she thought she heard something, so she turned around, but Jessica was nowhere to seen. “Sica?” she asked, hesitating. She got no answer. So she just winked few times and continued. She noticed an arrow of candles on the floor, pointing to the garden door. She followed it, not sure what to expect. She went outside and spotted more arrows. She couldn’t help but think it’s really dangerous. The house could catch on fire quite easily. But the thing that surprised the most was how warm the weather was. This was really weird, is December for god’s sake. But on the other hand the sight was really beautiful.

Then she finally reached the end of the candle path. There were lights floating in the air, it looked like a fireflies. Then it started to form into letters.

“Yuri,” it said. “Thank you for being by my side for the past 4 years. You’re the most perfect and the most understanding person in the world.” Those words slowly disappeared and were followed by different ones. “I still can’t believe I found you. You’ve turned my life upside down and I’m falling in love with you over and over again. I can’t imagine my love without you. I love you. Forever and always… Happy Birthday, Yuri-yah! –J.”

All words disappeared already, but Yuri just continued staring at the same place, completely flabbergasted. Then she felt somebody standing really close behind her. She knew who it is. She would recognize this warmth and scent anytime. But she didn’t move. She felt a pair of hands around her neck and then something cold touched her skin. She shivered and looked down on her chest. It was a necklace. She touched it and took a deep breath, before she examined it. She winked few times, so she wouldn’t tear up. Y…J…forever… She felt Jessica’s hand around her waist and her chin on her shoulder.

“Happy birthday,” Jessica whispered. Yuri abruptly turned around and before Jessica could react, she kissed her passionately.

“Hmphh!” Jessica was taken aback by the sudden display of affection, but she didn’t complain at all quickly caught on.¨

“Sica… I love you so much…” Yuri whispered. “How did you do that?” she asked and pointed to the place where letters were few moment ago.

“Of course Taeyeon and Tiffany helped me. Especially Tiffany. She’s really the best,” Jessica smiled, blushing.

“I can’t believe you did something so romantic!” Yuri chuckled and kept playing with the necklace.

Jessica looked down, her face completely red. She thanked god it was dark outside. “I can’t believe it either…”

“How come we’re not cold?” Yuri asked then.

“Taeyeon,” Jessica just answered shortly.

“Oh… okay,” Yuri said and kissed Jessica again. And again, it was very passionate. “You have no idea how much I love you,” she mumbled between the kisses.

“Wasn’t it too cheesy?” Jessica asked, hugging Yuri’s waist.

Yuri chuckled. “It was so damn cheesy! But I loved every single second of it.”

“It was just a small event,” Jessica blushed.

“You’re the best wife ever,” Yuri smiled and kissed Jessica once more. This time she didn’t let go of her though. She led Jessica back to the house, not pulling away. She pulled away only when they reached the staircase. Then she carried Jessica bridal style and Jessica gasped.

“Yuri-yah…”

“What is it?” Yuri asked and Jessica’s earlobe.

“It’s your birthday… shouldn’t I carry you? Besides… I’m heavy…”

“It’s not that bad with you… And I’m the husband, remember?” Yuri whispered when they finally reached the bedroom. Yuri kissed every single part of Jessica’s face before she pushed the door opened with her and lied her wife on the bed. Yuri climbed on Jessica and kissed her on the lips. Then Yuri went lower to Jessica’s neck and collar bone, while trying to undress her.

“Yuri~“ Jessica couldn’t help but moan quietly. “Why…”

“Shhh…” Yuri put her index finger on Jessica’s lips. “Take this as my thanks to you…”

When Jessica woke up it was already a lunch time. She and Yuri made love for the rest of the night and finally then fell asleep only a few minutes before the dawn. Yuri was still sleeping in Jessica’s arms. Jessica slowly removed Yuri’s hand from her waist and slid off the bed. She sighed at the sight of their clothes scattered all over the floor. She picked everything up and put on the chair making a mental note to make a laundry later. Then she opened the wardrobe and dressed into casual clothes. Then she left the room.

About an hour later, Yuri woke up as well. She felt cold without Jessica beside her. She sighed and then smiled while thinking about the last night. She didn’t bother to dress, she just wrapped the blanked around her body and went downstairs, only to find Jessica in the kitchen doing something.

“Mhmm…” Yuri back hugged her with her one hand. She had to hold the blanket with the other one. “Are you cooking, honey?” she asked and put her chin on Jessica’s shoulder.

Jessica laughed. “Of course not, I ordered it all. I’m just putting it on the plates from those stupid paper boxes.”

Yuri nodded. “That’s good…” She kissed Jessica’s neck. “But I would love to have you as my lunch,” she giggled and gently bit Jessica’s ear.

Jessica turned around. “But you still would be angry,” she said, laughing.

“Mhmmm…. I don’t think so,” Yuri said as she continued to abuse Jessica. Not that the latter minded though.

“Yuri-yah… Go and dress, we’ll eat and then go outside.”

“Where?” Yuri asked immediately, all curious.

“Just… on a date,” Jessica answered. Yuri nodded and let go of her blanket, so it felt on the floor, revealing her perfect curves.  Then she quickly ran away. Jessica sighed and started to serve the food.

Yuri soon returned, fully dressed by now. The kept whole smiling during the whole breakfast lunch.

“So what are we going to do today?” Yuri asked.

Jessica just smiled mysteriously. “You’ll see… but take a warm clothes. It’s nothing special actually, but I like it there, so I hope you might like it too. By the way I’m a bit scared, that Hwang isn’t done with presents for you yet.”

Yuri raised her eyebrows. “Really? She told you something?”

“No, not really, just…” Jessica didn’t finish, she just shook her head. Tiffany kept talking in a weird way , she mentioned the party before, plus she was superinterested in where Jessica is taking Yuri and what time they’re gonna be back. Jessica just hoped the house will still stand once they’ll come back.

They finished their lunch and then left the house…
