guys, it’s an SM Town concert… SM can do whatever they like… And having collaborations with veteran SM artists are good exposure for the EXO boys…
really? what’s all the hate with Luhan? he “filled-in” for Minho, he did not “replace” him… even though the word “replace” has been used… i mean, c’mon, what are the odds of Luhan replacing Minho in actuality (as in forever)? he “replaced” him only in THAT performance… argggg, why do we like to blow things out of proportion? can’t we just enjoy the collaborative work?
and about luhan’s dancing… we all know he’s a lead dancer but put yourself in his position… you’re performing with a senior artist, four of them~ and you’re expected to deliver a smooth performance… pressure, anyone? and let me point out that Shinee already performed this song a hundred times… maybe it’s not Luhan’s first try on the choreography (ahem, difficult choreography) but it is still his first time performing it in front of a huge audience… (if you’ve seen the fancam, the venue was jam-packed with people, like gulps, man!)
from the short fancam, it’s evident that Luhan was nervous… heck, who wouldn’t be? you have so many things to think about at that precise moment: the audience, the choreography, looking good, not missing a step, wanting to do well, the blinding lights, etc… Luhan actually did well in my opinion, considering that he probably only had a short time to learn the dance (cause you know, EXO have their own schedule and stuff)… he’s moves were not as precised as the other Shinee members but dude, Shinee practiced this track to perfection when they were preparing to come back with Lucifer…
i just honestly don’t get why some have to start verbal assaults to each other… We all miss Minho but we can’t do anything about it… He’s filming for his drama… And it’s an opportunity for SM to put the EXO members out there… Whatever the result may be to fans, it will have people talking about EXO… business is business… publicity is publicity… and we can’t really blame them though, it’s an SM Town concert! collaborative work between SM artists are bound to happen…

So, I just watched the full fancam of the performance and just found out that Luhan’s earpiece fell off…
Okay, did some research and yes, these earpieces are really essential in concerts… The earpiece projects the original, running track, it serves like an audio monitor… Cause it’s basically impossible to stay in rhythm and on key when all you can hear is a mix of fans screaming, echoes and just sound bouncing all over the place…
So, anyway… imagine Luhan’s inner panic when the box of the earpiece detached itself from him… Dude, it’s like all life drained from him… He was doing well, really… Like I knew he had it down and I was thinking, hey, he looked fine and then something just to happen… the initial panic of having to hold the box, not hearing the music, being careful not to move too much cause the wire might be pulled and the whole thing can come off… it’s all a lot to take in while performing with four senior artists, in a big stage, with all the people looking at you, whilst making sure you had the steps down…
I’m gonna be honest… Luhan messed up a few dance steps but he tried hard… By the end though, I knew he was a little frustrated already… If this kind of situation happened when the song being performed is MAMA, I know the circumstances would be loads different…
Now, for those people who are angry at SM… again, we can’t do anything about it… no one knew that this mishap would happen… we didn’t know and SM didn’t know either… IT WAS AN ACCIDENT… yeah, they could have placed a usual Shinee back-up dancer in place of Luhan but that wouldn’t make it interesting, right? they put him there so that EXO would have more exposure… who knew that Luhan’s earpiece would fall? and besides, SM wouldn’t let him perform with Shinee if they knew he was not ready… blame it on the earpiece, my friends…
i know some Shinee fans are not pleased with it but it’s just one performance, guys… and imagine if the earpiece didn’t fall, i bet Luhan would have been awesome…=)
