MEI'S POV

I woke up and took a shower.

It's a school holiday today so I had the whole day to hang out with Kris gege.

I put on my clothes and went to the living room.

Baba was nowhere to be found.

" Baba? " I yelled throughout the apartment, but still no answer.

The doorbell rang, but I remembered what Luhan told me.

" Uh... Who is it? " I asked.

" Yoona! " She said. I gladly opened the door for her.

" Oh, Mei! Where's your father? "

" That's what I'd like to know. " I said while rubbing my neck.

" Your alone!? " She looked concerned.

Just then someone crept up from behind Yoona.

" Omo! " She screamed.

" Luhan? " She asked. He just smiled at her.

" Hyung! " I saw Tao running with Kris and Sehun walking behind.

" Why did you run when you saw us? " Kris asked.

" Felt like it. " Luhan replied.

" Oh. Mei are you ready? " I nodded eagerly.

I waved to baba and left with Kris.

" So. I suppose you didn't have breakfast. " I nodded while rubbing my stomach.

We went to a ramyun shop.

While we waited for our food Kris just stared at me.

" Yes, gege? " He smiled.

" Why couldn't you be a little older? " I tilted my head and he chuckled.

" Your everything a guy could ask for and your only 9! That's amazing. " He said. " I'm everthing a guy could want? How? "

" Your nice and sweet. Your also very smart. " I blushed. " Gege is cool, too. I bet the ladies love you. " I said.

Our food arrived and I dug in.

" Mei? " I looked up at him. " Yes, gege. " He stared at me deeply. " Do you love anyone? "

" Of course. Mama. " I said. " I mean a guy. "

" Baba. " He chuckled.

" Someone not related to you. " I thought about it.

" Does Tao, Sehun, and you count? " He laughed even more. " No. "

" Then not really. No one in China really liked me. I was lonely often since mama would work hard. "

KRIS'S POV

This girl really had a tough time.

Luhan didn't even know he had a daughter. How is it that he's wealthy and Fei is so poor?

I watched Mei eat her ramyun.

" Gege. You eat, too. " She motioned me to eat so I did as told.

While we were eating, a bunch of girls were staring at me.

I know I'm good-looking and everything, but I'm not in the mood to flirt because I'm with Mei.

I just smiled back and continued to eat.

" Omo! Such a good father. " " No he looks like a brother. " " So adorable! "

Girls were squealing loudly.

We finished eating and went out somewhere.

" Hold gege's hand. " She held on tightly and we walked.

" Where are we going? " She asked.

" Surprise. "

We just walked and finally arrived at a river in the middle of a meadow.

" Wow! It's so beautiful here! " Mei spread her arms out.

" Is it? I always wanted to bring my lover here. Sadly, I never found the one. " I said.

" You'll find her and I'll support you all the way. " Mei said with a smile.

We played tag and hide and seek.

I felt so free for the first time.

It was a little dark now and Mei held onto me shaking.

" What's wrong? " I asked her.

" T-The dark... " I understood and carried her.

" Gege won't leave you. " I carried her back to the apartments.

When we finally arrived she felt better.

" Thank you gege. "

MEI'S POV

We arrived back home and saw Luhan talking to Tao and Sehun.

" Oh you guys are back? Have fun? " I ran and hugged baba and shook my head.

" Kris gege is so cool. " Luhan laughed and pinched my cheeks.

" Well, we'll see you guys tomorrow. "

They left and baba looked really perked up.

" Mei. Let's try something. " I nodded.

He grabbed a soda bottle and some fizzy candy.

" I want to see if it really does fly. "

I watched carefully and baba started to put the candy and it suddenly started to create gas.

" Uh... baba that looks dangerou- "

Just then the bottle went flying and was strong enough to knock down the bookshelf.

When the book shelf flew and hit the wall it created a giant hole in the wall.

" Omo! " Yoona screamed.

" Oh... Hi neighbor. " He laughed awkwardly.

Now there is an awkward hole in the wall that connects our apartments.

Yoona stood there in shock while baba and I just laughed at eachother awkwardly.
