Hiding in the dark depths of a charred house, a young man was lying on his side, watching out a scorched door with rain that was falling heavilly, and seeping through the large gapes in the house. The young man cowered more into the corner he was lying in, struggling to stay dry of the harsh rain. It posed no help as the showering rain still sprinkled a bit on him.
He sighed, and brought the small, and crater filled blanket over his shivering body.
He softly began to speak, in a tone no higher than a whisper.
"Bao?
Bao, are you listening?
I'm sorry...that I can't make living more enjoyable for us....i know you're probably craving the delicate feel of a bed, rather than this chipping wood..I know I miss lying in a bed.
And waking up everyday to freshly made breakfast.
And Grandmama's jubilant yet tender voice...
And Grandpapa's ridiculous singing in Korean...
Don't you miss them, Bao?
The only family I had, next to you, who loved me for me.
-Sigh- Bao..I'm also sorry the rain never seems to stop...it looks like your colors are fading because of it...or maybe your emotions are leaving you?
Are they...because of me?
I'm sorry...I-
Oh~ Hey look...it looks like your button has broken off too~ Aw.
I promise to find a new button...for you okay? Believe in gē.
I also promise to make life better for the both of us okay, Bao?
One day we're going to be happy, in a nice house,
a lovely garden...Ah~! What a dream, huh Bao?
Hey....just one thing, if you're stil listening....
Promise...to stay by myside okay Bao?
You're all the happiness I have left...."
