Gerald was sad all day.. Its been a couple days that Kim is ignoring him. She's always busy doing school works at lagi disappearing act ang drama nilang magkakaibigan.  Madalas walang tao sa unit nila, gabi na uuwi at halatang pagod na pagod pag dating.. Hindi na nga niya makusap si Kim eh dahil sa pagod nito.. Gusto nyang mainis dahil halos isang buong linggo na silang walang quality time together.. It was friday afternoon cancelled and classes nila kaya maaga syang umuwi.. he wanted to wait for Kim para sabay na sila umuwi pero as he was expecting may gagawin na naman itong importante..

"babe, kita nalang tayo sa bahay later okay? may.."

"may gagawn kayo ni mel na importante, school work at bawal ako sumama? i know kimmy, i know.."

"ge, babe.. wag ka naman ganyan.. kung pwede lang talaga bakit hindi db? sorry talaga promise I'll make it up to you pag natapos na to.."

"yeah yeah sure.."

"babe naman eh.."

"kim, you better make sure your not up to something i will not like.."

"im a good girlfriend babe.. sige na ayan na yata prof namin. drive safely babe.. see you later! i love you! bye!"

Gerald went home alone.. he doesn't feel eating or going out alone kaya nagdecide nalang sya na matulog.. he was about so enter dreamland ng biglan syang naktanggap ng tawag

 

gerald:hello?

mom: gerald? its mom..

Gerald; mom! how are you? where's tito? why did you call anyway?

mom: we're okay.. tito is still sleeping... well i just call to tell you na cancel ang trip namin ng dad mo.. 

gerald: oh..   okay mom..

mom: honey i'm so sorry.. i know your upset.. im looking forward to spend some time with you and your brother.. kaya lang things in the office went chaotic kaya ayun.. hows your brother anyway?

gerald: he's good..

mom: im so sorry son.. we'll call you kung kelan yung vacation namin okay? sige tell your brother i said hi.. and tell him to be good.. i love you both okay? take good care..

gerald: okay.. i love you too mom.. don't worry i'll tell jake.. and regards us to tito. bye mom..

mom: bye son..

 

hayy.. first kim was ignoring him.. ngaun naman his parents' vacation is cancelled.. everything seems to purposely makes him upset..  

it was 11pm when gerald was awaken by his brother who was in panic..

jake: bro! bro! wake up!

gerald: bro ano ba? you know naman ayoko naiistorbo pag natutulog eh..

jake: you have to hear me out bro.. si kim.. yung mga girls!

gerald: what? what happen?

jake: nawawala sila bro..

gerald: baka nman busy na naman.. 

jake: hindi.. i received a call from mel, she's asking for help.punthan na tin sila before anything bad happens..

gerald: what? saan daW? tara na bilisan mo.. 

jake: eto na nga.. ako na mgddrive..

gerald: san natin pupuntahan? alam mo ba?

jake: oo may tinext na address yung number ni mel..

gerald: bakit ba ksi ayaw nila ko isasama sa mga lakad nila eh.. ayan tuloy..kimmy.. i hope she's safe..

jake: bro we'll save them okay?

gerald: i swear i will never let her alone again.. bro bilisan mo naman..

gerald was really worried on Kim.. daming tumatakbo sa isip nya.. baka kung ano na nangyari sa kanya.. 

gerald: bro bakit kanina pa tayo paikot ikot? san ba talga? san ba yung address? ako na nga jan.

jake: eto na nga eh.. wait lang nagaalala rin namn ako.. malapit na tayo

gerald: malapit na? are we lost? bro ano ba? the girls are in danger

 

after a couple of minutes.. jake stopped the car in front of a house.. walang ka ilaw ilaw kaya hindi nya masyado nakita yung itsura ng bahay..he can see small light at the back pero nawala din agad..

gerald: is this the place?

jake: eto na nga yata yun..

gerald: where are they?

then they heard a scream..

"waaaaaaaaaaaggg.. ahhhhhh! kimmmmmmmmm!!"

gerald immediately open the gate and run inside the house, kinatok nya ang pinto pero walang sumasagot.. hindi nya mabuksan kaya sinipa sipa nalang nya.. pero wla pa din.

jake: ge ano ba gingawa mo?

gerald: si kim bro.. baka kung ano na nangyayari.. kim!! kim!! ano ba nangyayari?

jake: calm down.. hintayin natin yung text nila?

gerald: ANO?? hindi ako uupo lag dito habang naririnig na pinapahirapan nila ang girlfriend ko.. kung ayaw ako na lang! bro! be  a man! wag kang duwag! hahayaan mo lang sila na mapahamak!

iniwan nya si jake at naghanap ng pwedeng daan papasok ng bahay.. naglakad sya sa gilid ng bahay.. nakarating sya sa may likod.. wala paring ilaw kaya wala pa din sya makita.. pero sigurado sya na may nakita syang tumatakbo palayo.. kumapa sya ng kahoy o kung ano man sa gilid ng maramdaman nyang may switch.. di sya sigurado kung ano yun o para san yun pero pinindot parin nya..

 

ALL: SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bumukas ang ilaw at nagulat sya sa nakita nya.. nandun ang mga girls.. si kim may dalang cake..nandun din parents nya.. si jake, family ni kim at ilang classmates ni gerald sa school.. lumingon si gerald sa paligid.. at dun nya lang narealize na nsa dating bahay pala nila sila.. they used to live there nung prep pa lang sya.. before sila tumira ng states.. lahat ngmasasayang memories nila ay nandun.. he love that house so much..it reminds him of his dad who died of cancer. pero nung bumalik sila dito eh hindi na sila dun tumira ulit.. Daddy's boy sii gerald at sobrang syan nalungkot nung namatay ito.. Nagasawa naman ulit ang mom nya at kaclose din naman nila ito pero syempre iba parin yung dad nya.. Once in a while binibisita nya ang bahay na to, lalu na if he missed his dad.. sobrang special ng palce na yun kay gerald kaya dun naisip ni Kim nagawin ang special surprise pra kay gerald.. Yes, thats what keeping Kim busy.. matagal na kasing di nagamit at natirhan ang bahay.. gusto nyang maging maganda ang kalabasan nito.. Tinulungan sya ng mga girls sa pagaayos ng decoration, lightings sa garden.. and even yung playhouse sa garden.. nilinis din nila ang bahay, at naggaraden din sila..  Of course Kima asked permission sa mom ni Gerald at di nman eto tumangi.. tuwang tuwa ang mom ni gerald sa special attention na binibigay ni Kim kay Gerald at nagorganize pa ng party. Pati ang parents ni Kim ay tinulungan din sya.. Mama nya ang nagorganize ng catering services.

kim: happy birthday baby.. did you liked it?

Gerald: wow babe.. im impressed.. so its what keeping you busy all those times?

kim: yup! kaya nga di kita pwede isama eh..

Gerald: thank you baby! best birthday surprise ever!

Gerald held kim's face.. touch her cheek and then gave her a sweet kiss on the lips..

Gerald: i love you babe.. thank you so much for this..

Kim: i love you too babe.. i love doing anything to make my baby happy...

Gerald's mom: happy birthday iho.. you are one lucky birthday boy.. ang ganda, sweet, mabait at mahal na mahal ka ng girlfriend mo..

Gerald: mom.. i miss you... akala ko talaga hindi kayo makakapunta dito..

Gerald's ste[ dad: tinapos namin lahat ng work sa office for this, lalo na nung tinawagan kami ni Kim about this party..

Gerald's mom: i'll drop anything for my son..  oh mamaya na kyo magmoment jan.. may bisita ka.. anjan parents ni Kim..

Gerald's stepdad: mag hi ka sa future inlaws mo..

Gerald: tito naman..

Gerald said hi to his visitors.. He is happy to see how his parents gets along well with Kim's parents.. He is happy too na tanggap ng lhat ang relationship nila.. He knows that his mom really like Kim..

Maja: hoy ge.. you better treat us for this.. ang laki ng hirap namin dito sa party na to..

Erich: grabe.. first time ko mag garden.. ang hirap maglinis ng buong bahay ha?

Gerald: sorry girls.. pero sige i'll treat you all after graduation..

Mel: ang tagal pa nun ge..

Enchong: ikain nyo na lang muna yan.. hoy ge kasama kami sa effort na yan ha..

Matteo: ako din bro..

Gerald: oo sige.. di ko kayo kakalimutan.. thank you talaga sa pagtulong nyo sa babe ko para dito

Ate Anne: di nman nila matitiis si Kim eh.. thats the essence of friendship

Kim: tsaka di ko na sila kakausapin for life no..

Mel: eh kaya nga no choice kami eh..hehehe

Gerald: basta ako bahala sa summer vacation nyo promise ko yan..

Ate anne: aba ge.. kasali din ako dito.. dapat kasama kami ni sam jan ha..

Toni: ge? ako din pwede ba maki join sa summer getaway?

Kim: hala babe? buong baranggay kasama.. napasubo ka yata..hehe

Gerald: okay lang yun... anjan naman sila mommy..

HIs mom was listening on their conversation all through out..

Gerald's mom: aba.. akala ko ba ikaw bahala  eh bakit ako tintawag mo..

Gerald: mom..

Gerald'd mom: ikaw naman sinurprise di ba? kaya ikaw dapat.. mom ka jan..

All of them laugh.. gerald just smile and shook his head

Gerald's mom: o cge na.. graduation gift ko na sainyo..

all: yehey!!

Kim's papa: sure ba kayong gragraduate kayo?

Maja: of course tito!

Gerald'd stepdad: sinisigurado lang namin..hehe

 

Everyone enjoyed the party.. they dance and eat until the morning comes.. Everyone never runs out of energy kahit pa madaling araw na.. They talk and laughed like as if there's no tomorrow.. When gerald got the chance para masolo si kim.. they went inside the house.. Gerald was surprised.. ang linis ng bahay at parang bago lang.. maayos lahat ng gamit, hindi nya tuloy maiwasang maalala ang childhood nya.. they went to sit on the sofa.. He held kim on his arms..  Kim lean on his chest, his one hand hugged kim on the side while the others held her hand..

Kim: sorry babe, we got you al worried for nothing..

Gerald: wala yun.. natakot lang talaga ko kasi baka kung ano na nangyari sayo..

Kim: i just want to give you the best birthday ever, its your first birthday with me kasi..

Gerald: basta anjan ka.. best na yun lagi..

Kim: sus.. syempre gusto ko kakaiba..

Gerald: who gave you the idea anyway?

Kim: si jake.. kasi nung sunday nung tinutulungan namin si erich na magayos nung lilipatan nya i called jake to tell you na mauna ka nalang sa bahay since di kita macontact... sabi nya baka nga daw nandito ka.. tapos ayun.. kinulit ko sya para magkwento dat night.. tsaka ginabi narin kami pagpaplano kaya di nako naksunod sayo sa bhay..

Gerald: its the only thing that reminds me of dad. lhat kasi nasa states.. i like it babe.. its like before. buhay na buhay.. madalas kasi ayoko na pumunta dito kasi mas lalo ako nalulungkot eh.. when i look at it mkhang pnbayaan na..

Kim: you miss your dad so much? close kayo when you're still young? nakita ko kasi sa mga pictures eh..

Gerald: sobra.. pero enough na muna tayo dun.. ayoko naman mag emo birthday ko pa naman..

Kim: well sige.. ano ba gusto mo gawin?

Gerald: birthday ko naman db? so ako masusunod..

Kim: sige basta kaya ko..

Gerald neared his face to hers and initiarte a kiss.. kim was stunned at first but after a few moments he kissed him back.. Kim didn't want to stop the moment pero mukhang wlang balak tumigil si Gerald, she knew she had to stop him.. any minute anyone could walk in.. and worst baka parents nya pa yun.. finally she had the courage to stop..

Gerald: babe?

Kim: sorry babe but anyone could walk in.. baka may maka kita satin nakakhiya..

Gerald:okay sorry.. i just want to thank you sa lahat ng pagod mo to grace this party

Kim: you don't have to thank me.. as ive said i love doing this for you.. nagenjoy naman ako eh

Gerald: but still..

Kim: hep hep.. tama na.. ay wait... yung gift ko.. stay there baby i'll be back

kim went outside and get her gift it was a watch..

Kim: ayan.. neccessity kasi yan eh.. para lagi mo ko maalala (she said as she was putting the watxh on to him)

Gerald: eh lagi naman kita naalala eh..

Kim: sus bola..

Gerald: totoo kaya,. pakiss nga.. (gave him a smack but still not letting go of his gaze) thank you so much babe.. i really really love you..

Kim: i love you to babe.. hope i made your day happy..

Gerald: you made my life happy babe..

Kim: lika na sa labas baka kanina pa tayo hinhanap

Gerald: dito na lang tayo.. gusto ko pa nga madaming birthday kisses

Kim: ang dami mo na ngang kiss eh.. halika na naku..

Gerald: o sige na birthday hug nalang..

Kim: baka kasi kanina pa tayo hinahanp eh

Gerald: hindi yan.. tsaka one week din tayong walng quality time together o..

Kim: hmmm sige na nga

Gerald: di mo ba ko namiss?

Kim: namiss kaya nga eto na oh. sige na dito na tayo ( she gave her a sweet smack on the lips and then hugged him and leaned on his chest)

Gerald:(hugged her tight) namiss talaga kita sobra.. feeling ko ang tagal nating di nagkita..

Kim: sus.. mukha nga di na ko makahinga eh

Gerald: sorry babe.. kaw kasi eh..

Kim: ako pa talaga sinisi..

 

They stayed in that position until they fell asleep.. Later that morning nagsiuwian narin silang lahat after maglinis ng place.. That night Kim had a dinner with Gerald's family in celebration still of his birthday. Gerald'd mom will stay until graduation while his tito will stay only for a week.
