“What medication is Krystal talking about, Sung Yeol?”   “I have no idea, Amber. Are you okay?” He is more concerned about how Amber is after Myung Soo yelled at her and threw her against the wall.   “Yeah, I’m fine,” she says, feeling a bit dazed as she sits back down on his bed. She regards him in uncertainty. “Do you think something has happened to Myung Soo?”   Sung Yeol hesitates, “I’m not really sure. He has been fine in the weeks I spent here with him. Well, other hand his workaholic tendencies.” When Amber says nothing back, he gives her a look. “You clearly do care for him.”   In defense, Amber shoots him back with a glare. “He is the father of my children; of course, I’ll still care for him. It’s the same as caring about you.”   “It’s different, Amber,” he disagrees. “You’ve got a tighter bond with him than you do with me.”   “Can you please not?” Amber rolls her eyes and crosses her arms. “I’m not going to change my mind, you know.”   Sung Yeol puts his hands up in surrender. “Okay.”

“You’re a cheater!” Kyung Soo yells in annoyance and throws his PS2 controller on the bed.   Paris flashes him a smug smirk. “Losers gotta pay!”   Kyung Soo glares at the laughing Suho on the sofa. “You lost to a girl!”   “Shut up, hyung!” he hisses and shoots a look at Paris. “What do you want?”   “Chocolate croissant from the café.”   Kyung Soo raises a lone brow. “That’s all?”   Paris nods eagerly and adds, “And a large hot chocolate too, please.”   Kyung Soo looks at her in disbelief. “You could have asked for my kiss or my hug!”   Paris gives him an odd look as if he is crazy. “Why would I want that?”    “You don’t know how many girls are queuing for me to give them a kiss or a hug.” He shrugs and smirks. “Oh well, that’s good then!”   He then leaves the room to get her order, while Paris stays behind with Suho.   “Hey, Paris, are you coming again tomorrow?”   Paris shakes her head. “I don’t think so. I’m going to Jeju Island this weekend.” She grins in excitement.   “Cool! You’re going with your family?”   She nods. “It will be our first vacation with Dad.”   Suho frowns at her statement. “Oh, how come?”   She proceeds to tell him that she had not met her father for ten years and she almost thought that he had passed away, but her mother just refused to believe it. However, he then returns with the news that her Aunty is sick, which is why they are here in Seoul.   Suho finds it odd that she had never seen her father and all of a sudden, he appeared out of nowhere. “Did you know why he never appeared in your life before?”   “He has been living in Seoul with my Aunty and works here too.”   “And he never contacted you?”   Something dawns on her as she digests Suho’s questions. She shakes her head blankly in response.   Hm… she has some complicated family there.   “When are you coming back from Jeju?”   “Sunday night, I think. My dad’s friend is getting married, which is also the reason why we’re going there.”   The return of Kyung Soo discontinues their conversation as the boy laments on his arrival, “Here they are, Princess! You’re lucky I went to queue for you. I hate queuing.”   Paris chuckles good-naturedly, accepting the brown bag and hot chocolate. She looks at her watch and announces, “I better go. I’ve been gone for three hours. My mum must be worried.”   “Okay,” Kyung Soo replies, sitting on his bed, pretending not to care.   Paris bids Suho goodbye, then Kyung Soo, before skipping off to the door. With his eyes on his new Mortal Kombat match, Kyung Soo yells out, “Come visit again!” He adds, “Whenever you want.”   “Okay,” Paris giggles and leaves the two siblings alone.   Suho throws a pillow couch at his brother and guffaws when the younger grumbles in annoyance. “What was that for?”   “You like her, don’t you?” Suho smirks in glee.   Kyung Soo scowls in distaste. “What? I’ve only met her yesterday!”   Suho shrugs offhandedly. “But you like having her around.”   “It does get boring around here,” Kyung Soo says. “I don’t even know when I’ll be able to get out this time.”   Noticing the change in his brother’s mood, Suho suggests, “Why don’t you invite her to your birthday party on Wednesday?”, in an attempt to change the atmosphere.   Kyung Soo shrugs and resumes his game, his hand pressing here and there competitively.
