A Sneak-Peek: The Couples of ‘Against All Odds’

JunHyo (Lee Junho + Kim Hyoyeon)

Lee Junho and Kim Hyoyeon became lovers during high school 2 years ago. They were their campus’ ‘dream couple’ for they were also the best dancers in school. Unfortunately for Hyoyeon who loved Junho very much, ‘dream couple’ will be no more since she caught Junho cheating on her with another girl. Because of this incident, Hyoyeon had decided to stop dancing to prevent memories of Junho (whom she loved very much) cheating on her be revived. But what if Junho had a change of heart?  What if he came back for another shot with Hyoyeon? What if he has sincerely and eagerly changed for Hyoyeon? Will she accept him again or has she learned her lesson? Will they end up together against all odds?

HyoHyuk (Kim Hyoyeon + Eunhyuk)

Kim Hyoyeon and Eunhyuk go way back since they were childen, but they never knew each other’s real names. They were childhood friends & playmates back in Incheon 14 years ago. Little Hyukjae (Eunhyuk) had a crush on Hyosookie (Hyoyeon) ever since and he had always been a reliable oppa for her until their paths separated. This happened when Eunhyuk, without any notice and farewell, moved to Seoul. Little did they know that their paths will once again cross in college. Studying in the same school, having the same passion for dancing (although Hyoyeon kept it as a secret), being partners for a Showcase, living just a wall away from each other but knowing each other in their new names, will the two ever find out about their forgotten childhood romance? Will they end up together against all odds?

HyukRi (Eunhyuk + Park Gyuri)

Park Gyuri has developed this over possessiveness for Eunhyuk and a near-lunacy for him to like her back and be lovers with her. The two are classmates since freshman year but Gyuri wants to be more than just classmates, although she has not really confessed her feelings to Eunhyuk yet. Eunhyuk, on the other hand, is annoyed & irritated by Gyuri’s clinginess but the gentleman he is, he never showed or did anything that may offend her or scare her away. This, unfortunately, was misunderstood by Gyuri. Add to this, Gyuri has a dark unspoken past involving the girl that Eunhyuk currently likes. Will Eunhyuk ever unveil & find out about Gyuri’s dirty little secrets? Will they end up together against all odds?

SiFany (Choi Siwon + Tiffany Hwang)

4 years ago, Tiffany Hwang went back to Korea from America when she found out about her parents’ plan to engage her in an arranged marriage. Even before she met her ‘arranged fiancé,’ she escaped to Korea to decide for her destiny. Meanwhile, Choi Siwon, who seemed to be a potential future husband for her (as both their parents see it), had unwillingly agreed to the arranged marriage only because his girlfriend in Korea cheated on him 3 years ago. Siwon obeyed his parents & went to America only to find out that his ‘supposed-to-be-fiancé’ had gone escaping. The engagement was called off & all Siwon knew about her was her name. Years later, they finally meet in the most unusual (and unplanned and unexpected) situation. Can Siwon’s instant liking to Tiffany possibly call the engagement back? HaeFany (Lee Donghae + Tiffany Hwang)

Tiffany Hwang and Lee Donghae had an unlikely first meeting which gave them a rough start since a year ago. Even so, Donghae had liked Tiffany the first time they met because she reminded him of someone he truly loved in the past. Tiffany, on the other hand, has no longer an interest for boys who dance well due to her ex-boyfriend (from the same department as Donghae) who had unreasonably dumped her 5 months ago. Teaming up for a Showcase is not really a win-win situation from Tiffany’s point of view but Donghae saw it differently. Moreover, Tiffany surprisingly turns out to be friends with Donghae’s ex-girlfriend. Having gotten off with the wrong foot but being carefully intertwined by yet another one of destiny’s games, can a romance possibly bloom between this unlikely pair? Will they end up together against all odds?

HaeSica (Lee Donghae + Jessica Jung)

Jessica Jung (or Jung Sooyeon in Korea) is Donghae’s ex-girlfriend in Korea 3 years ago. The two broke up when Sooyeon’s parents sent her back to America in disagreement to her being in a relationship with someone from the middle-class. In this case, it is with Lee Donghae. Although the two people truly loved each other, fate made it so that they are separated. Poor Donghae barely got over Sooyeon and this was the very reason why he liked a certain girl in college 3 years after their breakup. Shockingly, this new girl is friends with Sooyeon, getting Donghae caught in the middle. Torn between two different (but somehow similar) girls, will Donghae choose to rekindle the old flame with Jessica? Or has his newfound love overthrown Jessica’s place in his heart? Will they end up together against all odds?
