That Familiar Aroma
Just a Walk In the Park ☆
Onew grabbed your hand carefully and held it with a firm but caring grip.
"Onew, you don't have to hold my hand to walk to the car, I'm a big girl you know." You said with a sassy tone.
"The car? Who said anything about taking the car? We're taking a walk. This day is just too gorgeous to pass up." And
"Onew, you don't have to hold my hand to walk to the car, I'm a big girl you know." You said with a sassy tone.
"The car? Who said anything about taking the car? We're taking a walk. This day is just too gorgeous to pass up." And
with these words, you made your way out of the front gate. You felt great and were excited to take a walk with Onew. You two walked down the street and around the corner.
"Where are we going?" You asked him after about five minutes of walking. Onew didn't say a word and continued to
walk, holding your hand. You then found yourself on a busy street in Seoul. There were many shops and stands with fresh food placed upon them. Living in the city was a hassle sometimes, no all the time. There were so many people everywhere and so many places to go. But why was Onew dragging you through the city? After about ten minutes, he came to a stop in front of a small store.
"Ah, this is the place." He said with a smile. Standing in front of the store, you could smell a strong aroma. It smelled
like...chicken.
"Onew...you and your flippin' chicken." You said face palming yourself. Onew smiled at you and pulled you inside. He
then went to the worker there and asked for 5 fresh pieces of chicken. Ten minutes passed and Onew received the chicken that was placed in a bag and had a huge smile pasted on his face. The smile literally went from ear to ear. Seeing him smile wide like that made you think of the "Hello" music video. Thinking about this made you giddy.
"What are you giggling at silly?" Onew asked smiling warmly. He grabbed your hand with his free hand and left out the door.
"Now then." He paused, "We'll need a basket...and a...." Onew's words got softer and softer until they were barely
audible. You couldn't really hear him over the voices of the city. A basket? What for? You thought. Onew led you to another store where he bought a blanket, a basket and even more food. You then realized you were going on a picnic.
"How cute." You said to Onew.
"Hm? Oh this? It's nothing, I just want to do something nice with you." Onew hurried and bought all of the items. He
didn't want the chicken to grow cold. You and Onew walked for a while, casting brief glances at each other and smiling. You then reached the park. The perfect place to be on a spring morning. Onew excitedly found a spot to set up the picnic. He looked like he was ten, prancing around and smiling all cheery. You were so relieved that he was happy and this made your day even better. Seeing Onew happy made you smile and you went to join him in setting up the picnic. When everything was laid out, you both lay on the picnic blanket beneath you. You both gazed up towards the incandescent sun with hands entwined with one another. You were silent, taking in the fresh morning. You felt yourself close your eyes and doze off a bit, until you were awakened by a familiar aroma. The smell of chicken filled the air once more and you propped yourself up to see that Onew had placed out all the food while you were napping.
