At 10 pm sharp, we closed ‘Sweet Bubbles’. Business running good today.

“Annyeong, Na Eun-ah! See you tomorrow! And remember, don’t be late again!” I waved goodbye to my bestie. “Neh, neh… arasso. I won’t be late, if I remember to wake up early! Keke… Annyeong, Eun Joo-ah! Oh, and you, don’t forget to have sweet dreams about your prince charming!” Na Eun teased me and quickly ran away.

“Yah, I don’t have any prince charming!” I shouted, pouting my face. Then, I made my way to the nearest bus stop.

Few minutes later, I finally arrived at my house. HOME SWEET HOME. For me, among all of the places in this world, home is certainly the sweetest place to be ever.

“Annyeong appa, omma. I’m back!” I greeted cheerfully. There, I saw my lovely appa and omma sitting on the couch in the living room, watching ‘Running Man’. Really, they indeed loved that show very much. Count me in, too.

“Ah, annyeong Eun Joo-ah. Welcome home!” my omma welcomed me. I took a seat beside her on the couch, joining them watching the variety show.

“How’s business today, sweetie?” omma asked lovingly. “Everything’s doing perfectly great, omma!” I answered happily. “Then, we’re both happy for you, darling.” Appa added. “Awww… gomawo appa, omma. Jeongmal saranghaeyo!” I said, hugging both of them.

How can I not love them with all my heart? They’re the most awesome, amazing and loving parents in the whole universe! I’m not bragging, it’s in fact the truth. Thanks to them, they’re the reason why the bubble tea stall even exists today. They had invested their money for Na Eun and me to start the business.

“We love you more, Eun Joo-ah.” They both replied in unison. I smiled from ear to ear. I’m so glad that I’ve been blessed with such a happy family. I’m their only child. I wondered if everything would still be the same if I have siblings. But, I’m pretty much sure that appa and omma would be able to divide their love equally.

“Hmmm… something sure smells good, omma.” I sniffed. “Well, I’ve cooked your all-time-favorite food. Guess what?” Omma smiled.

I sniffed again. “This is surely… bulgogi?”

Omma nodded. “And also japchae.”

“Omma, you’re the best!” I said giving omma another hug. “Come on dear, let’s eat dinner together.” Omma led appa and me to the dining room. “Neh, kaja!”

After having dinner, I helped omma with the dishes and flew upstairs afterwards. I entered my room, threw my sling bag on the bed and proceeded to the bathroom to take a warm bath.

Done with refreshing shower, I changed into my pajama and lay on the bed. Suddenly, I remembered something. I took the jeans that I wore today that were already being tossed in the laundry basket. I slipped my hands inside the right pocket of the jeans, groping until my fingers were finally in touch with something.

I pulled the thing out from the pocket, revealing the jigsaw puzzle pieces that I had found in the folded money received from that guy earlier.

‘What is this piece of puzzle doing in his pocket anyway?’ But came to think of that boy… his eyes… his eyes actually looked familiar… I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them somewhere before. Even before he started coming to the stall. But I just can’t seem to remember when and where… My mind started to wandered.

‘Hmmph, nevermind! Let it be. I just want to get a good sleep now!’ I’m quite tired today. I shoved the puzzle inside my sling bag and took out my earphone and an iPod Nano 4G wrapped in a cute Rilakkuma case. It was a present from my parents for my 16^th birthday.

Yeah, I love sleeping with music blasting into my ears. It’s like a lullaby. In fact, it had become my habit now. Maybe some people would appreciate sleeping peacefully with no sounds at all disturbing their eardrums but I’m different. I just can’t sleep if there’s no music. MUSIC IS MY LIFE. Well… cliché, I know.

I shuffled to my favorite song, EXO-K’s ‘What Is Love’. Yeah, you can say that I’m a hardcore fan of both EXO-K and M. Almost every night, I dozed off to sleep with Baekhyun’s and D.O’s wonderful voices lingering in my ears.

“Don’t forget to have sweet dreams about your prince charming!”

Na Eun’s words suddenly echoed in my mind. Prince charming? Well, actually never in my life that I ever had a boyfriend except for a crush I had on a boy named Min Hyuk back in kindergarten.

I’m just not that good around boys. Like I said before, I’m just some serious, shy girl. But deep in my heart, I am also like other girls who’d wished to actually find her prince charming one day.

With that thought and ‘What Is Love’ still tuning in my ears, I slowly drifted off to sleep.

‘I lost my mind… noreul choeummannasseultte… neo hanappego modeungoseun get in slow motion…’

Dreamland, here I come…
