CHAPTER 4

All of us were caught surprised and the room suddenly became silent. I looked at them...everyone even Kai did not at all speak.

I look at the person and saw a middle aged man around his 40’s I think, wearing a suit and a black sumptuous hat.

Who is he? I’m pretty sure it’s not EXO-K’s manager.

“Now, can someone explain what is happening here?” The man said with authority.

I can feel an aura coming from him that will make you think twice in disobeying.

“No one is going to answer?” The man asked in a predominating manner. Can someone pretty please answer him already?

Everyone look at each other then point their eyes on me. Oh noooooooooo…

“And who might you be?” The man’s gaze turned towards me, making me swallowed hard before answering.

“Hmmm hello. My name is Min Eun and… uhmmmm I’m the…” Oh no! Now that I think about it I really don’t know what I’m doing here.

While I’m contemplating on what I should answer, I saw Mr. Lee Jun Mun walked besides the scary man and whispered something to him. My savior, Mr. Lee!

The man then nod as if agreeing to what Mr. Lee had just told him.

“Got it.” He said to Mr. Lee. Once again, he’s attention focus on me. “So you’re the one replacing her.”

I nod. Urghhh I think so?

“Stupid girls like her should just go home.” Kai suddenly reckoned without a twitch. “There’s no job for a little clumsy girl here.”

I hissed at him.

“I said enough Kai.” The man ordered. Kai bellowed.

“Well then Min Eun right? I hope you can do your job with your outmost best and we’ll make sure you’ll be taken care as well.”

“Just a moment here. If I may ask sir, what exactly is my job here in SMent?” I confusingly asked. I first kinda thought I’ll be some sort of a trainee here keke.

“You’ll be our slave.” Kai butted in.

“Jerk. Slave your face. I think I’ll be your co-trainee KAI.” I answered sarcastically. Just maybe?

“Huh as if. Just looking at your looks and your…..body” I saw him eyeing my whole body. “nah never.”

My eyes  widened. This arrogant guy!

“I’ll be a trainee here just you wait!”

“Keep dreaming slave girl.”

“A TRAINEE!!!!!!!!!!”

“SLAVE!”

“Ahem.” We both look at Mr. Lee, realizing at the same time that we’ve been gawking at each other in front of that Mr. Scary Man.

“So about your job here Min Eun, you’ll be…”

I gulped.

 “Mr. Lee.” Mr. Scary Man interrupted. What’s the matter now jeez.

He motioned Mr. Lee to come to him. He then muttered words that we can’t hear for they specifically lowered their voices. But I can clearly see Mr. Lee’s expression suddenly turned into a surprised confused one. Now what the heck are they talking about.

Then, the scary man smiled and looked at us again. Mr. Lee, still has that confused face, went to us and made a heavy cough.

“Sorry for the interruption. Just as what Mr. Lee Soo Man said, Min Eun you’ll be Kai’s…” Mr. Lee Jun Mun kept talking but looked at me with sincere pitiful eyes.

I crossed my fingers. Oh no,  please please something that’s nice and pleasant.

 “…fiancée.”

WHAT???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My jaw drops.

I’m a...??!!!! And also the scary looking man is the famous Mr. Lee Soo Man of SMENT?!!! Did I hear that correctly?!

NO.WAY.IN.HELL.

My bran is defintiely getting messed up now! 

Seeing me with a confused face, Mr. Soo Man finally explained..

“Basically Min Eun, you will be a temporary fiancee.” He blatantly said, adding to Mr. Lee Jun Mun's whopping statement earlier.

Temporary? Now what’s that supposed to mean?! 

“You will teach Kai how to properly act as a fiancée. Teach him things that girls like you, want, need, and desire. You, by being his fiancée for the mean time, he will have it easy practicing being a good husband for his soon-to-be wife”

Husband?! Wife?!

“He’s going to get married?” I muttered. I felt a twitch in my chest.

“Not now, but yes. Our Kai here will be married in a few years time to a very high class noble lady from a foreign country. We’ve been hiring someone who can train him as early as now  to make sure that he will do things in a right proper way. And you don’t need to worry you’ll be highly compensated, for this is not like those other average jobs.” He finished.

"Well Min Eun... are you ok with that?" I heard Mr. Lee Mun Jun spoke to me. Though I’m still feeling quite angry and annoyed, but now I can feel something else.

 “No.” I mumbled.

“What’s that?” Mr. Lee Soo Man asked.

Darn. I can feel water starting to build up on my eyes.

"Hey.... Min Eun?" Suho hyung tap my back.

“I won’t be able to do... " My lips are beginning to tremble. "I won't be accepting the job. I’m sorry!”  I bowed and shut my eyes.

I feel sick. And my chest is damn hurting. I guess being a fan...this kind of things, having to learn that my bias already has a fiancee...really feels like my heart is being crumbled into pieces.

Why?

Is it because... I will only be the temporary substitute?
