"Dumb human... I've been calling out this whole time and you've yet to respond."

"Wha?"

"You're the only one that can hear me. Right?"

"Wait... what? Who?"

"Dumb human..."

"Hey!"

Her forehead wrinkling in a perplexed expression, the mysterious and unfamiliar echoing voice from Mina's dream slowly drifted away from her consciousness. However, Mina's state of confusion remained. Eyes still closed, the girl knew someone was waking her. She could feel their lips. And as much as she didn't like the fact that she could now differentiate their lips, she could tell it was not Chanyeol nor Kris. The lips were plush and almost perfectly balanced in terms of thickness. Undoubtedly, the pair of lips belonged to a Legend that she had yet to kiss until that moment. 

Opening her eyes, Mina was beyond surprised to find the identity of the perpetrator. Sitting up in the middle row of the SUV she had been laying in, Mina slid over to her right and placed her hand to her lips. 

"Kyungsoo?"

Out of all the Legends, she was so sure that Kyungsoo would never join the growing number of Legends that had transferred energy to her. Especially, since the two had conversed before about how she disliked being on the receiving end of transfers.

"It worked," Kyungsoo uttered, fascinated by the results of his actions. "You're awake."

Sighing and putting her hand down, Mina frowned a bit. "Were you 'voted' to wake me?"

Shaking his head honestly, Kyungsoo blinked once before sharing the truth. "We agreed to wait until tomorrow morning to wake you, with Lay being the one to do so, since you are able to tap into his powers and use them yourself."

Tilting her head Mina was unable to follow. "So why did you?"

"I wanted to know what it felt like."

Feeling all her energy suddenly dissipate from her body, the girl blankly stared at him for a long while until the earthshaker broke the silence between them.

"Are you okay?"

Her blank expression shifting into an angry one, Mina glared at D.O. "No! I'm not okay!" Frustrated, Mina rubbed her temples and continued on. "Two weeks ago I had never once been kissed by a boy on the lips. And now I've had..." Counting the number on her right hand, she murmured to herself. "One, two... three... four... four." Hiding her face in her hands, Mina kept repeating the number until she finally dropped them and childishly frowned with a withdrawn expression in her eyes. "At this rate I'm going to end up kissing everyone."

"Is that bad?"

"Well, it's not exactly good!" she replied, flaring up.

"I see," Kyungsoo responded, lowering his head. "I didn't know." 

Sighing, the girl nodded. "It's okay just..." Looking away from Kyungsoo, Mina finally got a good look of the area they were in and found that it was already nighttime and they appeared to be at yet another motel for the night. "Where is everyone else?"

"Checking in. I'm supposed to bring you back with me."

"Right... well, let's go."

At her call, Kyungsoo nodded and held his hand out for the girl. Sliding back over to his side, Mina took it without hesitation.  Only realizing what she had done a moment too late, a weak 'Oops' fell from . The small amount of energy given to her by the Legend left her with a faint green spark.  

Eyes widening in awe of the small occurrence, Kyungsoo dropped Mina's hand and repeated her words. "Oops."

Frozen in place for a moment, the Legend then leaned over the girl and reunited his lips with hers. Giving her more energy this time knowing she would reawaken, Kyungsoo lingered for a longer amount of time and smiled seeing the familiar shade of dark brown in Mina's eyes. 

"We have to be more careful about that. Let's go now."

Sitting back up and staring at the Legend's back as he opened the car door, Mina muttered slowly. "Did you... Did you really just awaken me again?"

"Of course I just did," he replied innocently.

Her blank face shifting into one full of annoyance, Mina weakly hit Kyungsoo's shoulders repeatedly. "I just finished being mad at you for doing it once! Why do it again?"

Feeling the full force of the girl's seemingly weak punches, the earthshaker lifted his own hands to stop her fists from painfully pounding into him. "We... needed to go though."

Still flustered, Mina dropped her hands and raised her voice. "Then just carry me! Or drag me!"

Jumping out of the SUV, D.O. turned back around to Mina. "You want me to carry you?"

"Well not now!"

"I'll carry you though."

"Not now!" 

"Do you want me to take my energy back then?" the Legend asked, holding his hand out. 

"No!" Getting out of the car herself, Mina began walking but stopped when she realized she didn't know which way to go.

Walking ahead of the girl, Kyungsoo tapped her shoulder. "It's this way." 

Letting her initial anger go, the girl turned around and followed in the boy's steps. Crossing her arms, she couldn't shake the lingering feeling of frustration caused by the Legend in front of her. Mina didn't want to think of energy transfer as kissing, since the Legends did not consider it the same, but she just couldn't separate the two, since if she did, she felt it would mean something bad. And because of that, she had begun to hate it.

"Don't do it again."

"Huh?"

Clearing , Mina spoke in a louder voice. "I don't like it."

"What are you talking about?" Kyungsoo asked, stopping in front of a flight of stairs on the side of the building.

"The energy transfer... Unless I say it's okay, don't just do it."

Titling his head at her words but ultimately nodding, Kyungsoo smiled. "I won't. It's better if Lay is the one to do it anyway. Since you are able to channel and use our powers."

Looking up at the Legend, Mina pursed her lips together before frowning slightly. "Right... So, how is he? Suho, I mean."

Taking a step forward up the stairs, Kyungsoo shared the status of the healed Suho with the the girl walking behind him. "You closed the wound well... Lay said the work you did was unbelievably sufficient."

Her head perking up, the girl couldn't help but feel good hearing that she had done well healing the Legend. Picking up her own pace to be directly behind D.O., she wanted to know more. "So Suho is completely good now?" 

"Yes. He's going to be alright. You did so well that Jongdae thought you were perhaps another type of Legend."

"Really?" A satisfied smile warming up her face, Mina felt as though she had finally made a good first impression on one of the Legends.

"When we explained to him that you weren't a Legend and just a person from this planet he became extremely alarmed. In fact, I think he has avoided being near you ever since."

Her high spirits dropping immediately at Kyungsoo's continued commentary, Mina slowed in her steps. "Well that's... just great."

Hearing the dismay in her voice, the earthshaker attempted to reassure her. "Don't worry. Chanyeol has spent the past couple of hours solely praising you in front of him." Pausing a second, D.O. added on. "He makes for a good other half."

Noticing the way in which Kyungsoo had added on the last part, Mina knew he had done it purposefully. While she still wasn't sure whether she believed in the theory or not, just the mere mention of the Legend's name was enough to cause her to blush lightly recalling the kiss between them. Moving past Kyungsoo to the top of the stairs, Mina tried to end the conversation with a question.

"Which door is it?" Looking down a row of doors, she turned her head over her shoulder waiting for a reply.

"124 and 125."

Moving down a few feet, the girl stopped in front of the door that read '124' and reached for the knob. Watching the door swing open before she was able to open it herself, Mina saw a room full of Legends with Kris being directly in front of her. Laying her eyes upon the man before her, the girl felt as though it had been ages since she had last made direct eye contact with the towering Legend. 

The whites of his eyes more visible than usual at the girl's sudden appearance in front of him, his lips parted slowly and he quickly moved his gaze over to Kyungsoo. 

"Did you wake her?"

"Yes he did," Mina answered, walking past Kris and into the room. Scanning around with her eyes, she saw Suho laying on one of the two beds in the room with Yixing standing close by. On the other bed she saw Tao, Chen and Chanyeol.

Stealthily jumping up from the bed and and grinning widely, Tao warmly embraced Mina. Saying no words, the Legend tightened his hold and then let her go, an irrepressible smile still present on his face. Smiling back and not saying a thing, Mina nodded her head knowingly. The hug given to her was full of gratitude. Though it had been a while since he had given her one, she still understood his actions.

Content with Mina's returned actions, Tao walked back over to the other Legends, who were still engaged in their own conversation. Now once again free to look around, she finally realized that Lyn and Daniel were missing. But with her eyes making contact with those that belonged to the scorpion, she felt the need to introduce herself.

"I'm Mina!" the girl said suddenly, in a raised and nervous voice. Feeling a rambling of words building up and about to spill out as word vomit, Mina bit her bottom lip but kept her eyes focused on Jongdae. Expecting him to give her alarmed expression, she was surprised to see him smile and wave at her in a friendly manner. "You're not scared of me?"

Raising an eyebrow, Chen replied uncertainly. "No?"

Relieved but realizing that it was Kyungsoo that had planted the idea in her head, she turned to glare at him. But before she could, Lay, who had been making his way over to her, grabbed Mina's arm and flipped her hands palm face up.  

"What are you doing?" she questioned.

"I'm not sure," Yixing replied frankly. His brows furrowed together, the Legend patted the girl on the shoulder. "You did well. I'm just curious to know how you did so well."

Seeing Lay be so active and interested in anything, Mina was intrigued to know just what more was going on in his mind as he continued to stare at her. Feeling his arms move to her shoulders, her internal question was answered.

"If I give you more of my energy, will you be able to meet my level?"

"Huh?" 

"Last time I only gave you a small amount and you were still able to heal Suho's wound to a less extreme state." Excited by the prospect of no longer being the only healer in the group, Yixing hoped to bring Mina's skill set to another level. Moving his hands to cradle the back of her head, Lay lightly placed his lips over Mina's.

Understanding the reasoning behind Lay's actions but still upset over the casualness in which he grabbed her, Mina moved her face away and ran out of the room while attempting to cover her face.

One of the only ones to have been paying attention to the entire situation, Kris moved to pull Mina away from Lay, but Mina moved away on her own; leaving him to only watch as she walked away. Seeing the tearing corners of her eyes, he took another step and attempted to call out to her but stopped when Chanyeol's voice over powered his own.  

"Mina!"

Walking out of the room and onto the balcony-like walkway, Chanyeol followed Mina down the stairs and finally caught up with the fast moving girl in between the SUVs. Placing a hand her shoulder to stop her from going further, he questioned her.

"What's wrong?" 

Catching her breath, and staring into the dark starlight sky, Mina didn't reply. Just moments earlier she was upset with Kyungsoo for the very same thing, but for some reason she was even more flustered than usual. Perhaps it was because Lay had done it so nonchalantly in front of everyone. Specifically in front of Chanyeol. That was it. She was not only upset with Yixing, but also with Chanyeol. Didn't he like her? Did he claim it wouldn't be bad if she really was his other half?

"Mina?" the phoenix called out, still waiting for a reply.

"If..." Mina began softly, "If I really were your 'other', would you still let others kiss me the way Lay just did?"

"Kiss you?" Thrown off by Mina's words, Chanyeol tried to understand. "Lay didn't kiss you though. I saw it."

Feeling herself become more upset at his reply, Mina turned around sharply, dropping the hand that rested on her shoulder. "Well, it was a kiss to me!" 

His demeanor changing from one of confusion to one more serious, the light that seemed to constantly shine behind his almond shaped eyes dimmed. "Why? Do you like Lay that way?"  

"What?"

The tone of his voice deepening, Chanyeol replied her, "I have come to understand that a kiss is only a kiss when there are feelings involved. So if you're saying he kissed you, that must mean you like him." Placing his left hand back on her shoulder, the phoenix waited for a reply.     

Feeling a chill spread across her body, Mina made sure avoid looking at the phoenix's face. One of the things she now understood about herself was that gazing or catching a glance of Chanyeol's face when he was serious was the equivalent of becoming caught in a trap.  

"So, is it that?" he questioned.

Keeping her focus on a fastened blue button on his plaid shirt, Mina remained mum for a moment before speaking. "It's... not that."

"Then can you not tell the difference between the two?" 

Her eyes still concentrated on the same single button, she nodded. "I can't. I tried in the beginning, but now whenever it happens..."

"That's just energy transfer Mina." His right hand moving to lift her chin up at him, Mina's gaze reluctantly met Chanyeol's. Lowering his head a bit, he smiled mere inches away from Mina's face. "This is a kiss."

Feeling his light breath flow over her lips, Mina naturally closed her eyes, but shot them open hearing two familiar voices. 

"Woah..."   

"No way."

Pulling away from Chanyeol, Mina saw Daniel and Lyn staring at the two. Feeling suddenly self-aware and embarrassed, Mina pushed the boy's hand off of her shoulder and looked down to the cement parking lot floor. 

Urgently walking forward and grabbing the girl's arm, Lyn quietly pulled Mina further away from the Legend and up the stairs to their room. Locking the door behind them, the girl with the short black hair crossed her arms and began asking questions.

"What was that?"

Wanting to avoid the subject, Mina couldn't help but to feign ignorance. "What was what?"

"I thought we promised that you wouldn't fall for any of them!"

"Who's falling for anyone?"

"You don't just let people kiss you. And as I saw things, you were about to let him kiss you." 

Sighing in an almost dreamlike state, Mina replied. "Yeah."

Eyes wide at Mina's confirmation, Lyn sighed at a loss and sat down on the bed. "It's happening isn't it?"

"What's happening?"

"You're going to leave me for them." 

"No, I'm not!" Mina snapped back, feeling the hurt in Lyn's words. 

"Yes, you will."

Moving over to Lyn and squatting down in front of her, Mina earnestly grabbed her friend's hand. "I won't! I promise you!"

Meeting the girl's serious and sincere gaze, Lyn covered Mina's hand with her own. "You really promise?"

"Yes! I promise!" Mina responded without hesitation, holding our her other hand with her pinky extended. 

Feeling relieved, Lyn met her own pinky with her best friend's and smiled. "Okay then. I'll let you date him now."

"What?" Mina replied, surprised at the sudden turn around in attitude.

"Well, now that I have your official promise, I don't see why I shouldn't let you have fun."

"It's not..."

"What?"

"It's not like that..."

"Please, Mina. We're about to head to college. You should have some experience dating boys, even if they are aliens."

Shaking her head, Mina grabbed a pillow from the bed and hit Lyn with it. "Scoot over. I'm going to sleep." Laying on the bed and closing her eyes, she knew she wouldn't be able to sleep, her mind was too awake. With Lyn walking around the room, Mina wondered if she'd be able to ultimately keep all the promises she had made.

With Daniel entering room 124 with Chanyeol, the boys proceeded to split up into a third room that Daniel and Lyn had gone to go get after realizing that their number was now too large for only two rooms. In between changing rooms, Kris pulled Kyungsoo over and walked to the edge of balcony-like walkway outside of the rooms.   

"D.O.?" Kris began in his usual serious tone of voice, leaning against the balcony railing. 

"Yes?"

"How often have you been wrong about things?"

"How often have I been wrong?" Kyungsoo repeated, puzzled by the question. "I'm rarely ever wrong. I put a lot of thought into things I say."  

"But you have been wrong before, correct?"

"Well, not everyone can be right about everything 100% of the time," the earthshaker replied, turning to face the night sky.

"Right."

Intrigued by the unusual and sudden questioning, Kyungsoo turned to Kris and crossed his arms. "Why do you ask?"

Letting out a deep breath, Kris looked up at the moon thoughtfully. "Because, I want you to be wrong about something."
