Chapter 3:

“since my children are all boys, I really can’t stop thinking what if I have a daughter, I envy my friends who have a female daughter, perhaps I’m really envious that’s why I hold them too much, I was wrong that way,,”

“ anio madam, don’t think about that, you just doing you’re part on being the best parent that you can be,”

“But they never look at it that way, as if I am the bad character in their story//”

“that’s not true, since they all have everything, they don’t know how to appreciate the love you gives, sometimes they will realize how much a person’s worth once they lost it,,”

“I guess you’re right,”

“And I hope they will realize it sooner,” hana console.

Mrs. Kim touches her hands,

“Thank you Hana,, thank you for being nice,,”

“Actually why can’t we both do the things that a mother and a daughter do? Like today let’s pretend that you’re my mother and I am your daughter.

Mrs. Kim thinks for a second then thought about it as a good idea, after agreeing with each other, they left the café,

Their first destination,

Mother and daughter salon!

“There is really place like this?”  Mrs. Kim asked in amusement, hana smiles at her

“Yes there is, I heard all about this from my friends in college and how they spent their Sundays with their mothers in this place,,it’s called bonding time and pampering yourself, you want to try it Umma?”

The woman gently caress her hand,

“Let’s go in,”

After that they went, they went to the mall, holding each other’s hands, other people praise their closeness, most of them really think that she is her daughter, the way Hana act towards her and the way Mrs. Kim take care of her,

Looking at her, Mrs. Kim’s heart melted, she forgot her own problems, and she just wants to enjoy that particular moment with Hana,  she felt so happy how she will explain her something’s, she felt so happy every time she talks about her life and adventure,

“You’re one brave woman,” that’s the truth, since she never suffered when she was young; she is really amaze by Hana’s personality.

She really wishes she have a daughter, and it’s not really bad if she just happened to be her daughter,

It was 8 in the evening when they decided to end that day,

“the truth is,, it’s my birthday today, I always celebrate my birthday when I was left me in the orphanage, I was always lonely before., thinking that this is also the day that I was abandoned, buy today thank you for making my wish come true, I’m so glad that I come to know you, I’m so happy that I celebrate it with you, I’m so happy that I put smile in your face like how you’re presence do to mine,  it’s true Mrs. Kim I am so happy,,” hana said each word sincerely , with the hint of tears in her eyes,

Mrs. Kim can’t stop herself but to give her warmest hug, she brushes her silky wavy hair.

She was moved for the first time, she can’t remember the last

Today she feels so appreciated.

“You’re parents have no idea how lucky they missed when they let you go,,don’t cry  continue to live well,”

“Thank you,, Umma, I can say that for the last time right? “ hana said, Mrs. Kim cupped her face

“You’re welcome my daughter,”

That night Mrs. Kim dropped hana in a rundown apartment, it seems dangerous to live for a young woman like her,

“You live here?” she asked quite worried

“yes, in the seventh  floor,” hana touched the back of her head shyly,” although I wanted to invite you for a cup of tea, I can’t since my place have no elevator I only used the stairs to get in,,

“That must be tiring,” she said

“its okay, I’m used to it, it’s part of growing up?” she answered, humorously, she laugh at her own joke,” don’t worry Mrs.’ Kim, I have two strong legs,”

“Okay, and thank you for this day, you should go in,”
