[Dara's POV]

“YoungBae?”

He opens his arms and only the both of us knew.

“YoungBae” I hug him tightly. 

“I know you still knew me, noona”

It’s just less than an hour before our shift ends. YoungBae is patiently waiting for us. He is smiling at me every time I pass by, also with babyRin who is also smiling widely like me. We finished our shift and we went home together. It is nice having YoungBae as a company, he is not talking too much but he listens attentively. I missed talking to him, I missed him.

“YoungBae!” “Oppa!” Bom and Minji hurriedly greet just right after we entered the apartment. Then they start pestering him with questions.
 

“You guys leave YoungBae alone” I say. The girls paused, looked at me for a moment then ignored.
 

“Come sit, oppa” “Here, you can sit beside me” “Have some of this oppa, I made this.” The girls continue completely ignoring me. Youngbae is so confused but still smiling. I want to laugh but…
 

“Yaaaah! Yaah! Yaaaaaaaaaah!” I yell.
 

“YoungBae-oppa is not your property unnie” CL said. “It’s not only you that misses him” Bom agrees. “We know he misses us too, unnie” Minji agrees too.
 

“But I know he misses me more” I retort.
 

“Who wants to send away Dara-unnie to buy food?” CL raises her hand looking for ally. Of course, all four of them raised their hand including YoungBae.
 

“You, all of you, you will pay for it someday!” I say then they all laughed.
 

It is like the heavens answered my prayers just after I ask for it. Here we are just like the old times, enjoying the night. I don’t know when was the last time I laugh this hard, I don’t care. I’m happy, at least for now. It just a little after 11, the girls are all tired now, and I don’t know how many games have we played already. YoungBae decided to leave so I accompany him outside to send him off.
 

“I’m glad your back, I missed you” I say.
 

“I missed you too. I see you all been doing well, it’s crazy”
 

“You must be tired, sorry for harassing you. I think the girls just missed you too.”
 

“Oppaaaaaa…” we heard someone shouting from inside the apartment. We both laughed. 
 

“I should really go now, before they start again”
 

“Yeah you should, goodnight”
 

“You go inside now, it’s getting cold, goodnight” Then he turns around.
 

“Take care” I called. He turns around and smiled. Then I notice something or maybe someone moving in the dark just across the street. Kyaa, I should get inside now.
 

So, who is YoungBae in my life? Well, I don’t know either. But if you want a simple explanation, he is actually my best friend. I’ve known him since we we’re kids and my parents practically entrusted me to him as I’m a trouble magnet before, but maybe until now, I don’t know, have I changed? I am a year older, but he is the one who is taking care of me which is weird. He went away last year to study abroad, just after I settled from my first job, but after that we haven’t really contacted. It’s good that he found me from asking a common friend.
 

[Unknown POV]

“What am I doing here?”
 

“Have I really gone insane?”
 

“Wherever you are, I miss you and I’m sorry,”
 

“But I can’t help it…”
 

“…anymore”
 

[Dara's POV]

I dragged the girls each on their bed, well not literally, they are still hyper and all that. I’m getting ready for bed when my phone beeps. Oh it’s YoungBae.
 

“Still awake? =) If so let’s just continue our conversation tom. I’ll pick you up. What time does your shift start?”
 

“Oh, I’m still awake here :D But I’m going to sleep already, WORK TT.TT My shift starts at 8, so before that, is it ok?”
 

“Of course, I still remember I need to take care of you =P”
 

“Ok, well goodnight ^^”
